Jang Mi-Rae (Kim Hwan-Hee) is a middle school student. She is an outcast at school. Her home life is worse, where she has to live with her alcoholic father. Jang Mi-Rae's escape is playing online role-playing games and writing stories. Her bleak life seems to change when popular student Baek-Hab (Jung Da-Bin) approaches her to become friends. Jang Mi-Rae also seeks solace with a young man (Suho) whom she knows through online games. He spends his days giving away free hugs.

Laura May 03 2020 3:16 am I just watched this because of Suho,I saw the program Suho,Chen ,PCy with this child actress .She is really talented .Suho's acting was so good & I feel he really suits for this role ,Its like Suho-guardian angel.Story is so heartwarming too.

I haven't expected the heaviness of the theme as i am also a victim (of all sorts), what's more was that i also am a writer so this movie really hit me hard. It might have a trigger warning as well, but the story is good. Looking forward for more movies from leadernim. :)

Maria Victoria P. Salita Jun 02 2019 8:40 pm I just saw this movie last night, June 2, 2019 on Red By HBO, a movie channel in Sky Cable here in the Philippines. I must say, the movie was okay although I'm a bit confused about the lead character's dysfunctional family background. How did her father become an alcoholic and abusive towards her and what happened to him in the end? Why was she treated as an outcast by her classmates apart from the fact that her dad's a violent alcoholic and she's from a poor family? Anyway, I can't help but empathize and sympathize with this child. I am currently taki.g up secondary education and I hope that I become a good teacher someday- not only in terms of academics but by being humane and inculcating proper values to my future students.

She's so lucky, even though she's a self confessed bangtan fan rather than EXO-L she's been in two things with EXO already! But all jokes aside, she really is an amazing young actress! I wish her all the best, talent like this can't be overlooked! Kim Hwan-Hee, I'm your fan!!

I felt pity seeing Mirae navigate through her bleak life but at the same time, I want to continue reading the webtoon to see her development.
