In 1945, 16-year-old Hiromi (Lisa Oda) lives on a small island in Okinawa. One day, Hiromi meets Japanese military deserter Takayasu (Shinnosuke Mitsushima) and American military deserter Bob (Brandon McClelland) at a cave along on the beach. Hiromi decides to take care of the men and bring them food. Takayasu’s injured older brother (Takahiro Miura) comes to the island and tragedy soon takes place.
