Sakuya Kataoka (Ryubi Miyase) is a grim reaper. He travels to the human world for the first time for a specific reason. He has knowledge and interest in the human world, but he has no experience in the human world. His first time in the human world is full of strange things and because he has never had a relationship with a human, he acts abrupt and rude to people around him. He gets involved with a woman named Nayuki Mochizuki (Karin Ono).
After Nayuki Mochizuki’s parents divorced, Nayuki Mochizuki lived with her father and her younger brother, but, when she was in the 2nd grade of high school, her father died. Since then, she has been a kind and responsible older sister, who takes care of her younger brother. As the bread earner, she works at a restaurant chain run by her late father’s friend, which allows her to get home on time for her younger brother. She is strict on herself and she has forgotten how to be spoiled. She then meets Sakuya Kataoka. They get to know each other little by little and become attracted to each other, but a fate, that will make a big difference in their lives, awaits for them.
