Kokoro Kurosawa (Haru Kuroki) used to be a contender for the Olympic Judo Team, but she now begins work at weekly manga magazine "Baibusu." She learns about editing from senior editor Kei Iokibe (Joe Odagiri). She becomes fascinated with the edition world including talking with manga writers, discovering new manga writers and efforts to reprint manga books.

The publishing industry is going through a turbulent time due to ebooks. Members of the editorial department struggle to come up with ways to sell more manga books.

kaia Jun 21 2016 7:57 am I loved this series. A good look at manga publishing, and the editors and artists who make it happen. A good mix of humor and drama. Odagiri Jo is always worth watching. A solid cast of actors altogether. And the ending was happy, triumphant, and funny in equal amounts. Highly recommend. Now I want that ending song. Does anyone know what it is?

tsarina May 31 2016 1:37 am I came across this show mostly by accident, but I was pleasantly surprised by how likable it is. It's interesting to look at the behind-the-scenes of developing manga, and the show is both heartwarming and funny. The main character, Kokoro, is an absolute delight and you can't help but smile at her endless enthusiasm and (lol) slightly offbeat fashion choices. Kuroki Haru is just so great here. And of course, Odagiri Joe and Sakaguchi Kentaro make for great additions to the cast. Kentaro is positively adorable as always.
