Yurina Kamoshida (Sei Shiraishi) is a bright, 17-year-old high school student and she lives with her mother Yasuko Kamoshida (Akiko Yada). One day, Yurina Kamoshida happens to find mobile app Shimobe no Shimobee and she downloads it to her phone. Since then, whenever she is in trouble, a mysterious middle aged man named Shimobee (Ken Yasuda) appears in front of her and helps her. He then walks away without saying anything.

When Yurina Kamoshida was a child, she dreamed of becoming a doctor. She hasn't thought about her dream in a long time and her grades are not good enough anyways to become a doctor. Somehow, Yurina Kamoshida begins to dream again about becoming a doctor and she pursues that dream with the help of Shimobee .
