Plot

Three men, who look like winners in life, are in fact struggling with their own sufferings that they desperately strive to keep undisclosed - schizophrenia, sex addiction and infidelity. For these three childhood friends, the harder they try to get out of their agony, the more complicated and puzzled it gets.

"Searching for the Elephant" opened #4 at the South Korean box office selling 78,731 on 277 screens and accounting for 8% of all tickets sold during its opening Nov. 6th-8th weekend.

Eliza Feb 11 2013 7:26 pm Why is there no mention of the actress Jang Ja-yeon who plays one of many women who the doctor Min-Suk sleeps around with but who is very much in love with him.there is the mention of the detective who knocks at the door, he must have been in the film for about 1 minute..disgraceful. It was unfortunate that she took her own life 07 March 2009 she had been physically abused by her own manager on a regular basis. An alleged suicide note left by Jang describes how she was beaten and forced to entertain and have sex with several program directors, CEOs and media executives, causing considerable debate about relations in the entertainment industry. RIP Jang Ja-yeon you were on the verge of a really good career and a fine actress from what I have seen. Please change this and pay a decent tribute to a young woman who died too young. Such a waste of a young life.

sko Jul 06 2010 6:35 am I think this was a very clever movie and as Mo said, it had style. A lot of style. Balancing between reality and illusion, the movie succeeded in making my mind almost explode at some points. Very catchy they way the plot and truth are unfolded. And beautifully directed.
