I'm new to kdramas and started to become really concerned with the lack of diversity since most of the shows feel like they are geared toward western countries with all the references to the USA and then English speaking roles. But then then that's the thing... The US is a melting pot of cultures. I'm not saying kdramas need to lose their culture, but adding different races that also speak Korean and are in kdramas can only increase the fan base and inspire those of us in different countries to want to learn Korean and explore their beautiful country. I am so proud of everything he has accomplished thus far in S. Korea and much more. I am more inspired than ever before. I have studied Korean culture for over 15 yrs but I always been afraid of how anyone of African descent would be treated in Korea. Sam you are the first to really break thru into Korean entertainment industry, you have been part of many variety shows from Island Village Teacher (first main exposure on Korean TV) to True Justice, Non-Summit, Real Men, Running Man, Cool Kiz and so much more. I try to watch every program you're on because it doesn't feel real to me sometimes that there is actually a African man on Korean television.
