Hikari Ban (Mei Hata) is a high school student in grade 3 class C. She suffers from an inherited disease and is informed that she has only 1 year left to live. Hikari Ban secretly makes a list of things to do before she dies. She tries to spend every day as the best day and people around her call her a positive monster because of it. She holds a crush on her classmate Taishi Fujiwara (Coki Yamashita).

dinda Nov 20 2023 5:49 pm such a tearjerker story, u really need a boxes of tissue when u watch this and i really touched and loved both lead actress and actor of this drama, they both really good on it. i highly recommend this drama as a worth watching sad story

Felishia Aina Sep 07 2023 12:41 am I have watched this drama until the 7th episode today, I think this drama will make you cry because of its very touching and sad story, about how you have to face the rest of your life with the people around you. I really highly recommend you to watch this drama.

for the cast I think I like the role that played by Coki Yamashita as Taishi Fujiawara, his sincerity in loving Hikari can be seen from the way he looks at her, how he is willing to do anything for her really shows that he is very cool and perfect (also I really like his dancing too).

I think I really like Coki Yamashita's acting here as the male lead, his acting is getting better and better, especially after finding out that he improvised/ad-libbed the school corridor scene in episode 7 (it was one of the saddest scenes). the best in this drama in my opinion). from this drama we can even know how good his acting is, from before as a cute little brother in the drama I Will Be Your Bloom to a cool and handsome boy in The Best Student and I hope in the future he will get more lead role of drama or movies.

Yurika Sep 03 2023 6:49 am can't belive the scene from the 7th episode when Fujiwara and Ban on the hallway school was an ad-lib scene, that scene was really sad. i really recomended you guys to watch this drama series, a slice of life story that can makes you cry so hard even from the 1st episode. can wait to see you both the actors of Fujiwara and Ban in the future drama or movie, their acting was awesome, i loved them.

kezia Sep 01 2023 2:04 am so there are another drama named The Best Student / Saiko no Seito is a spin-off of this drama based on Taishi Fujiwara of this class as main character with his girlfriend from other class right? the vibes between D class in this drama and C class in Saiko no Seito so much different. since the actor who played Fujiwara (Coki Yamashita) is really popular outside this drama, the producer and director have a good eye on him to make his own spin-off drama as the main character to got the highlight and i think his acting really good too.
