In 2046, a thick layer of fine dust now exists in the Earth's atmosphere. People that are born are divided between C's (Clean) and N's (Non-Clean). C's are given an expensive vaccine at birth. They have a life expectancy of a 100 years. N's are not given the vaccine. They can only live up to 30 years.

Yio (Choi Sung-Eun) is a university student. She thought she was a C, but she learns that the hospital made a mistake and caused her to not get the antibody injection when she was born. She is an N. Her interest in other people who are N is piqued. There is only other student at her university who is an N. That student is Joan (Kim Bo-Ra).

yaowhatsup Jun 07 2022 1:39 am I loved it. I saw a tiktok thinking it was GL but I liked the relationship of the leads, whatever they may have been. I already predicted the ending and plot twist though. Cinematography and graphics was really nice.

wntrina Nov 18 2021 2:01 am The chemistry between the two makes me giddy behind the screen. The both of them suits each other so much and yeah I already expected the ending so it's not suprising. But, I do hope Joan and Yio could meet each other again..my heart breaks to see Yio sobbing in front of the display where she saw Joan finally having a career she always dreamed of. Then again, she must not hv that much time left..I need happy ending??

The themes of the plot resonate with our current times and the love story, although it was played subtlety, was charged with great acting and wonderful chemistry between the leads. The cinematography was great as well, the directing, the SF and the art department did a great job at creating a potential future. I recommend this episode to all the lovers of Sci-fi and romantic existential movies or series.

moonie Dec 15 2020 1:04 am as expected, kim bora nailed the character. the chemistry is good too, subtle pda but really heartwarming. maybe sk isn't ready with the idea same-sex love story and made them to be close friends instead.. this episode of sf8 actually made it to the Seoul International Pride Film Festival<3<3

Godwin Emmanuel Aug 29 2020 5:55 am Set in 2046, The earth is plagued by heavy fine dust. The human race is divided into two categories, N and C. N means Non-clean, people who couldn't be vaccinated and C means clean, for those who are vaccinated with antibody shots. Life expectancy for C's is 100 years and for N it is 30 years. As result discrimination becomes a bigger problem than fine dust. Yi Oh (Choi Sung Eun) finds out she wasn't given shots during her birth, she is now an N. She develops an interest in Joan (Kim Bora), whose other N in her school. As her life is short, she spends time with Joan.

According to my understanding, this is clearly a GL (girls love). I could see the way they both look at each other. a beautiful lesbian story. Kim Bora sang a song in this drama and it's so beautiful. I loved the Bgm and cinematography. I love the 2046 set. Everything is foggy and there is longing to live. Who knows this might happen in the future. The story is beautiful and the acting was cute. As a hardcore fanboy, I wanted a kiss scene, I know it's a lot of ask but still, the bars were quite high. I need to confess that each and every scene was so beautiful.

There is a big twist in the end. I swear I saw that coming but it was just a thought and seeing it happen in the end was a shock. I love the way they ended the episode. it's beautiful. What I learned for Joan's Galaxy is sometimes you got to let things be the way it is, instead of searching and digging deep into it, just live your life and do good to others. - by Godwin
