Lee Gwang-Jae (Kim Ji-Hoon) is the son of a rich family and he is immature. His father dies and leaves behind large debts. For his father's honor, Lee Gwang-Jae struggles to pay off his debt. Kim Young-Ha (Kim Joo-Hyun) with her bright and positive personality supports Lee Gwang-Jae.

- Oct 02 2021 6:50 pm recently found this and why is no one talking about yong and kyung ha? i literally binge and speed watch this drama just for the two of them ?? and the bromance between gwangjae and yong. kyung ha was selfish but their relationship is intriguing which made me love this couple more than the main one. i seldom get attached to long drama pairs but these two characters and their relationship made me swoon lol

Ridiculous drama Sep 29 2021 6:12 am This drama is completely stupid and ridiculous. That guy Nam Tae-Il may be an adult but he is nothing but a child! Trying hard to get his mother's attention, love and acceptance. Perhaps the fault lies with the script writer for creating such a stupid adult-child.

Anonde miracle May 11 2021 5:03 pm I like the drama, I love all the actors and actresses, they really tried, the story is quite touching I learnt a lot from the story, I started watching Korea movies more after watching the drama, afterall is a drama no need to blame anyone character in the play, all the characters shows us what is going on in our families, life as well as the world. Am really happy to watch the drama, I always dream to act and make people happy like them. Keep it up the the writer, keep it up the editor, keep it up the actors and actresses. Thank you all.

zombie Nov 21 2018 8:55 am i could barely finished this drama cant believe i reached epi 100 i started skipping a lot from the halfway point probably thats the reason i reached the end i still dont know what the writer was trying to say everything was so predicatable from the start to the end it was a mundane story with no mysteries thats why a lot of people dump this drama after halfway if you look at the ratings it will give a clear picture why this drama was bad my ratings 3 or 4 out of 10 and surely dont recommend it i think i waste my precious time

David Oct 28 2018 4:37 am I don't like Nam ll's father. GJ should be living in his father's house, not Soo Hee, Nam ll and his father.

What BS, Soo Hee said she could not care for Nam ll because she was more concerned for GJ!!! Did she bother to help him out, wonder where he was living, etc. He was living on the street in his car, sold all his clothes. Why didn't she give him some cash to live on. She was a dope addict when she was married to Gye-Dong, he dies and she all of a sudden is off all her meds!!! Her brother caused a lot of trouble for Gye-Dong and GJ. And GJ suffered but not Soo Hee or her precious Nam ll.

Nam ll over night turned into a mellow personall of a sudden when he was an evil creep throughout the show. Now he has a family and he all of a sudden is sweet as pie. He should get on his knees and apologize to GJ.

How can Seo-Hee say that Nam ll is not a bad person???? She does not know who he really is. She knows that GJ lost his father, his restaurant, had no money, no place to live, moved in with them, and she has no idea why that happened to him. SH only thinks it is about the Receipe book. She is a whiny cry baby....so nauseating.

Soo-Hee did everything her stupid brother told her to do to Gye-Dong and she went right along with the program. SH, Nam ll and the father should move out of GD's house and GJ should move back in.

It belongs to GJ's dad, why does he have to buy it back when the restaurant should have gone to GJ in the first place. I can't stand Nam II's father. They are living in GJ's house like a family and GJ had to sell the clothes off his back, live in the street, etc. while Nam II was living it up in GJ's house running the father's restaurant. GJ should have said "I will take it off your hands for free." Give me a break.

And the losers users, Jong-Yong and Myung Sun, always out to use some one else's money. Now the loser Jong-Yong wants $100,000 from GJ to become a screen writer, and the wife wants to help out with getting involved in a franchise or whatever with GJ. They have their own store they got for free, why don't they just work there. I was so happy Soon-OK, JY's mother gave JY a kick in the shins and a head butt. She is the best one in the family.

Park Hyun-Sook is the same - in love with money. Now that YA and GJ got all that money, now she is happy w/GJ. How two faced can she get.

And the crying Seo-Hee is disgusting. She knows Nam ll is in love with YA and she is still crying over him and worrying about him. Nam ll said "he couldn't help w/the recipe book and all the other bad things he did, due to Nam Soo-Hawn." That is BS. He was hateful to GJ and was going to ruin him anyway he could. Stupid SH has no idea how wicked he was. She didn't know how he wanted to ruin and get rid of GJ. He didn't seem to mind that Soo-Hawn was doing all the crap to Gye-Dong. He had a choice and did not have to go along with Soo-Hawn. Nam ll was not a baby, he was a grown man.

Interesting how Soo-Hee got off all her pills after GD died and now is cooking and trying to make a family for her beloved Nam ll and husband.

zombie Oct 19 2018 10:48 am just finished epi 38 where the father died and the kid is left all alone i think the drama starts here and what about all those 37 epi behind that was full crap i mean empty epi this writer just conned me im so mad for making me waste so much time the only good thing from those epi i can rescue is that wow what a nice surprise lee seung yeon was the lead female in first love done in 1996 it was the only drama i watch from her but to me is way far the best drama ive ever watched nothing comes close to this i guess all the best dramas were done in the 80s and 90s i am watching this drama over and over and over and never get tire of it i completely fell for her and the story line so rich family son is only the second time im watching her in a drama but its been 22 years ago so she changed and couldnt recognized her but what a great exhilariting surprise im so mesmerised i just feel like i bumped into my first love after 20 years out of nowhere down in some busy streets

Hyung Sook is so shallow --- liked GJ when he had money and now that he is broke, he is no good for her daughter. I would love to see GJ dump YH and become rich again and find another girl.

Gi Sep 19 2018 11:35 pm Very good story and great casting. Actors are really good. The story is very exciting and my favorite couple is KyungHa and Yong. I think they are a perfect match! Love the Korean culture and values they show in this drama. The family values are so important, good parenting and respect to elders. This is one of the best drama I 've seen that really cares about the good characters. Not alot of evil characters that takes up the whole drama. Love it...very good to watch and not exhausting and stressful. Excellent Sunday drama to watch.

Wouldn't it be proper for her to just stand by Gwang Jae's side and be honest with him? A woman with no conviction. Makes me (a viewer) feel like she favors Tae Il over Gwang Jae. Or that she has a feeling for him. By the way, seems like episodes 83 and 84 in Viu are rambled!

zombie Aug 03 2018 9:27 am just started epi 1 and this drama looks very promising tho the ratings are kind of low might be that the slotted day and time are not optimal i saw other dramas from the same writer and they were just wonderful so i trust the writer will not disappoint me with this drama im in the last 15 epi of the man who sets the table the drama that preceded this one and this is another good drama too im fully enjoying it and looking forward to the end where all the mysteries will be solved

I hope he can help out Gwang Jae with all his money problems that the stupid, Uncle is it, that caused all the problems. Tae II, it appeared knew some what what the Uncle was doing, but didn't seem to be concerned.

Unfortunately, GJ does not know that his supposed Uncle is the one that had his mother divorce his father.

thornnnn Jul 15 2018 11:40 am Hardest thing about these 50+ hour epic drama's is waiting for them to finish.. one week at a time. I only binge watch drama. I've been waiting for this drama for a long time it seems. One thing that bothers me is i wish there was a way for binge watchers to be counted when it comes to ratings. But i guess when we chime in the ratings game is over. SO many drama's in the pipeline that i can't wait to watch. I don't know what i would do without my running man, law of the jungle to give me quick fixes till drama's like this one finally finish. The actual lengths of these drama's do not deter me. I put up my Styrofoam 8'x4' painted eggshell white screen, whip out my short throw projector (2ft wide for every 1ft from the screen) get out the popcorn and the comfy chair.. and watch till i drop.. get up.. and watch till i drop. Total immersion. Really looking forward to this drama. I'm glad the comments are leaning towards a good drama. I can't read them too far tho cus sometimes people include spoilers in their comments.

Kiwi Apr 23 2018 2:41 pm I love the young main leads, Their acting are just as solid and as convincing as any veteran actors. I understand why Kim Joo-Hyun (Young-Ha) obtains the main lead. First time wtach this actress. Kim Ji-Hoon is perfect for this role. The more we criticise him for his unconcerned, careless attutude, the more he succeeds in this role. The writer, in K-drama world, will slowly make him change completely. For now, the story will be built up bit by bit. The scene by the salt pond where GJ took selfies will be where GJ will return. He will remember all his father's words. I was disappointed that Tae Il has not shown more concerns and desolations about his father's bad investment. I like the family's scenes at Young Ha house. We can each character in each family's member and are curious about how they will fit together, share their thought, fight for unsignificant things. It is just like any other family.

KJH is veteran in drama world, so it is natural that he's a good chameleon and plays a young boy without any responsibilities and head over heel for love. The actress KJH is also very good and delivers true emotion. I am quite satisfied with my thirst of week-end family drama after the end of My Golden Life. The presence of Kim Min Kyu gives some peps and salt to the drama. I love the 3 actors with the name of KIM. For my sake and for the sake of all kdrama lovers I wish the best for this drama. Now I will watch the episode 11.
