Masato Haruki happens to hear rakugo (traditional Japanese storytelling) and he becomes interested in becoming a rakugoka. He begins to learn the craft from Kozuru. Kozuru's talent is excellent, but he is usually uneasy. Nevertheless, Kozuru's wife Aoi always supports him. Masato begins to live in Koroku's Kozuru. Mahito receives the name "Storyteller Koharu" and goes ahead for his public performance.
