Hwang Tae-Hee (Kim Nam-Joo) believes that happiness is getting married to the man she loves. After marriage, she faces an unexpected marriage life. She is able to overcome these difficulties to achieve a reversal of fortune.

Bong Joon-Soo (Jeong Jun-Ho) is Hwang Tae-Hee's husband. He's popular with woman but has no special talents or interests. He starts work at a company to get revenge on his ex-girlfriend, who dumped him. At his new workplace he meets Hwang Tae-Hee who works as a team leader. Hwang Tae-Hee has feelings for him, dreaming of becoming a cinderella, and soon they marry. Unexpectedly, Bong Joon-Soo must get through difficulties. He struggles to become a real man and finally takes responsibility for his family.

Baek Yeo-Jin (Chae Jung-An) is a cute woman, but when she needs to she become bad. She works with Hwang Tae-Hee at the same company and uses her attractive looks when needed, which raises the ire of Hwang Tae-Hee. When Bong Joon-Soo, the man she dumped, marries rival Hwang Tae-Hee, a second round takes place between the two woman.

Likeable character in the beginning, but too shrewish after the first episode or so!!!

Very realistic work situations, but the main male character too whiney!

vlisane Jun 20 2022 12:33 pm Nope, nope, nope! The pain between the original lead couple was real. Neither one of them really wanted to end their imperfect--but perfect between them--marriage. That petty misunderstandings and other people's interference ultimately led to an impulse decision to finally end the marriage is not believable (to me, anyway--I don't want to argue with anyone on this forum.) You are talking about two full-grown adults (not even young adults) falling for tricks and other nonsense. When, they cried, I felt the heart break, and when Bong Jong-Soo realized that the CEO was in love with his ex, the desperation to get her back was so well expressed. Why turn the tide of the story to satisfy a lonely CEO with mother abandonment issues' fantasy. I hate red herrings in stories. It would not have been a fairy tale to see the Tae Hee and Jong Soo back together. Married people are able to overcome obstacles and staleness in their relationships to have a happy ending. Too easy to default to the "younger man saves ahjumma and the choir sang, hallelujah" scenario. It has been done ad nauseum. Is it too much work for the writers to take the time to tell a decent story? This is my opinion in the year 2022.

Kauro Apr 04 2022 6:37 am Wowww..the ex even try to steal her ideas at work very sneaky. Hecwas hired by rhecrival just to mess her job..how come its not fair for rhem to get divorced. I do t even want to h with a friends like that. Though he did not actually sleep or dating his ex gf this guy kept accompanying the ex gf. Not to mention he guarantor his freind n make their family gome on debt. Lazy to do housework when he was unemployed n let his mom bully his wife all time. It must b hell married to this incompetent untrusworthy guy who easily used by his ex gf to destroy n mess up her wife career. Its good that the wife finally with the ceo more handsome younger smarter richer n totally loyal

Oshin Mar 21 2022 7:56 am Dunno why the majority here hate the drama as they re against the main couple divorce. They said its Asian thingy against the divorce n the guy dont actually cheated on her. Im also an asian n my mom n me will get divorce ( my mom actually divorce my dad) if the guy happen to be like her hubby that get into debt ,messy , unemployed ,stressfull mil & a dreamer. But my sis stuck with one thank god hes dead early n end her suffering for good. Im glad that the leading lady ended up with a better man smarter richer younger bcoz in the real life that part is very rare.

Now in 2022 i will start to watch the drama. Thanx to spoiler coz i hate waste my time.

I'm glad with how the relationships ended up with the right person and they ended up friends. Kim Chang-Wan scene playing guitar and singing was touching and sweet. I'm happy I watched this drama. Great casting.

I can say that this one is very very good of all k drama I ever watched. the lead actors and actress are very good portraying their roles. satisfied with the ending, I really much enjoyed the chemistry between Yong Shik and Tae Hee. very thankful that I happened to find out this drama

feelontee May 13 2019 5:40 am The best adult actor (Jeong Jun-Ho), I love all his movies and TV series, he has the charm and acts well. I first watched him in "flower in prison" as the villain but love him and looked for all of his movies and series....lol

cath Aug 21 2018 12:20 pm I basically can't stand baek yeo jin? and the audacity of her to keep chasing hwang tae hee's husband, causing them to have a misunderstanding eventually lead to divorce. I can't believe they divorced because of this vixen. it doesn't make any sense on how simple the reason why they divorced. tae hee and joon soon clearly loved each other so much despite of their financial and career struggles. I read that this was originally "22 episodes" but got extended to 32— additional 12 episodes to add arc for hwang tae hee and yong shik to end up together. when it should've been 22 episodes, for joon soon and tae hee to fix their marriage. ***spoiler: baek yeo jin is annoying asf til the end

JayJay Mar 24 2018 4:33 am This is one of the best dramas you will ever see, written for adults and they will recognize the frustrations and struggles of the characters. One of the examples of why better Kdrama is so much better. They seem to be fluffy soap operas until you realize how good the writing is, how real the characters are, and how they reflect the lives we all struggle to cope with and understand. Kim Nam Joo is a wonderful actress.

If Joon Soo still loving his ex-girlfriend, it'll be make sense.. But in this drama, his ex-girlfriend still loving Joon Soo, so what's matter ??

It's not teaching us to get divorced, people with that mindset are childish and narrow-minded. Let us all face it, not all relationships can be saved even if we try harder that's the sad truth.

He was the first to say the word divorce and he didn't hold on her. on the other hand , yong shik loved her sincerely even he is better than her in everything unlike her husband who married her because she was safe for her and she loved him first and chased him. so many people get divorce so what's the big deal !

HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN.\??? i'm Very disappointed with the writing, this is not moral!! its like teaching us to get divorced if you are having hard time in your marriage. People are not getting the point instead they base on their pleasure and interests.

Ozmo Dec 10 2013 11:46 pm I always enjoy Kim Nam-Joo and she was her usual competent self, but it was Park Si-Hoo who absolutely shone and I couldn't stop watching this because of him. The ending was satisfying for me with everyone as I wished. All tied up neatly, I hate up-in-the-air endings. It didn't seem like 31 episodes, enjoyed them all!

Ronaldo Oct 18 2013 7:38 am I agree with most of the comments. I usually watch 16-18 episodes show but since i have 1 week off-duty, I spend my time watching this show with 31 episodes. It's really interesting and entertaining because its sad, fun, loving and inspirational even though the title seems out of the plot. My time were not wasted watching it. Even though, I came to know first Jhung Jun-Ho in many shows I watched, I can say that its Park Shi-Hoo stand out on this show.....job well done to all

srasinister Jan 16 2013 12:30 am Bong Joon Soo really had no chemistry with either of the female leads in this drama. I liked every couple in this drama except for Baek Yeo-Jin and Bong Joon Soo. I would literally skip their parts because it got so boring. The police officer and her had good chemistry, but BJS fell flat for me. Otherwise this is an awesome drama that is pretty funny. The secretary and Park Si Hoo were really funny.

This drama resembles the movie "Up in the Air" in its heartrending depiction of the unstable working environment in many corporations, qualifications and seniority be damned. Says one character: "Like a death sentence". Very poignant and timely.

Btw, Bong Jun soo was always for Hwang Tae Hee, despite his past relationship with Baek Yeo-Jin. The only thing between junsoo and taehee is a misunderstanding. Tae hee still thinks jun soo liked yeo-jin during their marriage...he didn't!
