Dreaming of becoming an architect, Itsuki Ayukawa (Tori Matsuzaka) played basketball in high school. In his 3rd year at a university, Itsuki Ayukawa had an accident. He injured his spinal cord in the accident and became paralyzed from the waist down. Itsuki Ayukawa went through many hardships. He is now in a wheelchair and works as an architect. Itsuki Ayukawa has decided he won't love ever fall in love, because of his physical limitations.

Itsuki Ayukawa then meets Tsugumi Kawana (Mizuki Yamamoto). She graduated from the same high school as Itsuki Ayukawa and liked him in their high school days. Back then, Tsugumi Kawana wanted to attend an art college, but she was not confident in herself and gave up on that dream. She now works an office job for an interior design company. Her life changes after meeting Itsuki Ayukawa again. They develop feelings for each other, but they also face many difficulties.

mirr Jan 27 2023 2:30 am I've watched the movie before, didn't know it also has drama remake, kinda took me by surprised after scrolling the netflix. I love the movie, and this drama remake make it more special, they dive in deep with his hardship, how kawana cope with his parent against their relationship. I love how the story gives more of their story. A lot of great values being highlighted in this series. Highly recommended.

cans Oct 20 2021 8:33 am i love the drama..about the character i really like Hiro character for his gentle style and always keep safe for his woman. Two things that i learn about this drama is if you love your woman you must don't let her go and from Hiro sides is if u love your woman u must let her go if she really happy without you.

Miiko Aug 08 2021 6:14 pm At first I didn't expect much when I accidentally click the drama on netflix. I just tought the synopsis moved me. Evetually, after I watched the 1st episode I couldn't stop. I finished it all in less than 24 hours :"). The storyline is simple, the problem is real and i happens to people who has relationship with disable. I respect Ayukawa's character and Tor Matsuzaka protrayed it beautifully. He act out of respect towards disabled people. The female lead character, Tsugumi Kanawa, is also a simply brilliant one. She seems fragile but she actually could stand up for herself and most importantly for the one she dearly loves. I love her! They both make a great couple in this series. The music just beautiful. My heart is ache for the story but I'm glad with the ending. Will there be a possibility of season 2? Because I really really love this drama!

I hope it’s gonna be a beautiful ending or my heart can’t take it ?. And I hope there’ll be a repeat telecast of it in Waku Waku Japan as I only started watching in episode 4. Fingers crossed. ❤️❤️

BANDIT VON JAVA May 21 2020 2:05 am What a wonderful story! It shows that our life doesn't have to be over after a spinal cord injury. Even a paraplegic can still have a semi normal life n achieve his/her dreams/goals. Ayukawa is an inspiration. Although he could never completely accept his handicap, he found ways to cope with it n lead a meaningful life. I can't believe that in this days n age people are still prejudiced against paraplegics. I find Shiori shallow n disgusting, so is Tsugumi's dad
