Umi Suzuki (Kyoka Suzuki) has lived a difficult. She has one son Daichi Suzuki (Ryosuke Yamada) whom she lives through vicariously and hopes will one day will become a success. She has raised Daichi in such a way that he is easily identified as a mama's boy. Daichi always strives to get the best scores in school to please his mother and has no problem telling others that his mother is the most important person in the world. Umi is thrilled when her son Daichi is accepted into a prestigious high school.
