Judge Lee Jung-Joo (Park Eun-Bin) presides at the Seoul District Court. She sometimes swears at shameless defendants with unspeakable words. Judge Sa Ui-Hyun (Yeon Woo-Jin) is assigned to the judgement bench with Judge Lee Jung-Joo. Sa Ui-Hyun is well known for his excellent use of the law and his conscience to reach verdicts.

Lee Jung-Joo fights against a huge power who framed her older brother for murder and killed him.

I've seen spoiler before watching this drama, and danggg it broke my heart thinking he's not the main lead, the way he looked at Jung Joo looked so real, you could see how he really loved and cared so much for her, dunno how Jung Joo didn't feel it ??

Anonymous Jul 03 2021 4:24 pm The show was really good in the first few episodes but it failed to keep that momentum near the end. I won’t lie the acting was good. What really bothered me was the that Do han joon suffered a lot losing many special around him only to have his ex bsf take the woman he loves and his parents locked up. I have a lot of respect for him and wish for him to have a happier ending but it just left in air like that. Tbh I shipped her with Do Han joon more than the final couple. The story line was written well with quite complex turns but the last few episodes really let me down. I really wish at least Do Han joon had a better ending he suffered the most and no one cared about him or asked him if he was genuinely ok but he was the one always caring for others always asking if the woman he loved was ok doing so much for her same with his mother aswell as he’s ex bsf. Although they where ex bsf in the drama they come to like each other again. Do Han joon always put this fake happiness on infrot of others. A huge let down

Nina Oct 08 2020 9:27 am An average drama, wouldn't recommend it to others. I had high expectations since the earlier episodes were entertaining, but later the drama failed to keep the momentum. The chemistry between Eui Hyun and Jung Joo seems so forced, that it didn't deliver much. I agree with lola loli, the poster featured 4 people, but Sera didn't appear as much. The other characters like the interns and other judges weren't developed well too, like (SPOILER ALERT) Sera was an ex idol turned to judge? And then what? The thing that keep me going on is the Dong Ha's acting as Do Han Joon. He was very good

Pizi Aug 28 2020 10:18 am This drama is not one of my fav (5/10). The story is ridiculous. Have you ever seen a judge jumping on desks cursing the defendant? The actress is annoying, never answering anyone, or giving this stupid look as if she doesn't know who the speaker is. Why do they get sick when they are sad or sorry? I never had fever just because I was sad. If not for Dong Ha I wouldn't have continued after the first episode. I wish he had more scenes.

I am not Korean so I do not always get the reluctance for some characters in romance situations. I find it frustrating sometimes for the inability to to be straightforward or at the very least say something. So that said I don’t think the romance portion was forced but rather reluctant like many stories in Korean Dramas. No one was to be embaressed or guess wrong. Giving a hint or two sometimes doesn’t do the trick either. If it’s showed One sided like this story, it’s treated like a joke.

Although the love story in this drama looks like to be forced and i feel pity with Do Hanjoon.. He lost his family, best friend, and girl he likes. But overall this drama is worth to watch and not boring. It also showed the situation of real law life..

I Love Kdrama Sep 15 2019 3:55 am To be honest, generally this drama is just average but the lead cast acted well. I really like Yeow Woo Jin. He is so charming. The veteran artistes have a lot of screentime. A major loophole was that why the lead gal could be one of the judges during the trial for the main culprit of the main case as she can be considered as one of the victims.

lola loli Jul 18 2019 12:02 am Tbh, this drama is a mess. I skipped almost all scenes except the court scenes. First and foremost, the chemistry between the characters were lacking a lot. (Yeon Woojin usually is able to create great chemistry with his co-star though) Secondly, he romance between Euihyun and Jungjoo seem too forced and unnatural at all. Euihyun should've been partnered up with Sera and Jungjoo should've been with Hanjoon. Thirdly, based on the poster, it was being implied that there are 4 main characters in the drama which were Euihyun, Jungjoo, Hanjoon and Sera but Sera only appeared not more than 15mins throughout the whole series.. Also, the 4 interns who appeared in the beginning of the drama but somehow their roles suddenly became useless and it's frustrating because they could be a scene-stealers in this drama. Fourth, the mystery of the murdered Gayoung didn't give me thrilled at all. From the beginning, it was obvious that Prof Yoo was partly responsible in Gayoung's death. There's nothing to excite the viewers. The only thing that saved this drama is the friendship between Euihyun and Hanjoon. Yeon Woojin and Dong Ha both played their roles really well and I'm able to sympathize with Hanjoon's situation. Meanwhile, I have high expectation for Park Eunbin since she is an expert in playing a role with crazy/blunt personality but I guess this role is too heavy for her..

Simglo Mar 25 2019 3:54 am I forgot to say... I watched this because of Yeon Woo Jin, since I have always liked him. I had seen some stills of this drama when it was airing and thought it would be interesting.

During the first few episodes I was thinking that the second lead was miscast; I was even imagining how it would have been so much better with this other actor (one of my favorites) playing that part. However, as the story progressed I realized that I was completely wrong. The actor playing the 2nd lead is in fact perfectly cast for the part.

Simglo Mar 25 2019 3:44 am I actually only started watching this because I was tired and wanted to watch something new for a few episodes and then go to bed. I am already in the middle of two 50+ episode dramas, but both of those are in the serious woes era of the drama and I wanted something light hearted to watch as a breather. I read the comments here before I started this and thought that I would at least be able to go to bed after the 6th episode.

Fail on both accts. No bed and this drama is intense, not light hearted at all. Although it does have some funny scenes to offset the darkness. Very well done and the only episode that I felt was a little draggy was episode 24, but not much.

That said, the main story was completely wrapped up by episode 29, so the last 3 episodes were anticlimactic, but they used those for developing the romance between the leads. This is one of those rare dramas that doesn't have a rushed ending; in fact it felt more like they had to scramble to add more (social awareness stuff) to the story in order to drag it out long enough to fill up the 32 episode count. In any case, this drama is worth watching.

I did like the first lead, he was cool but no can beat my second lead syndrome T_T anyway this is a good drama if do want to try out and i wish i see more Dong Ha next time but as a lead role!

Ah...i like the hairstyle also, no matter been put up with a bunch of gel, or on the time his hair shower by the rain, it just so attractive. Well, about the acting...its awsome...he's a quick witted type, the way he talk and act... it just to good... Eh....everytime he appear, i can't stop looking at his charming face and of course his good act...somehow, he is quite a lonely Han Joon... However, Dong Ha keep up the good work and one day i'm looking forward to see your very first lead role.....***

Blanket Jan 16 2018 4:51 pm I really tried to finish watch this but I cant.. the story about her and her brothers case is too draggy (which i know the plot is about) but you can always balance it with something thrilling like solving different cases or had added more romance. I loved it at the beginning but as i watched for each episode it just felt like nothing happened and its about her brothers case and that politic leader. There was nothing new to reveal and that just kept it being like that. (i stopped watching until ep 18)

I fell for Yeon woo Jins charms when I watched Queen for seven days, but unfortunately this is a miss for me.

The cases from judges POV, the discussion, the smart & calm Judge Sa (falling in love with the character, I would say), the soft looking but strong Judge Jung-joo, all made up for a good overall satisfaction. The hand holding scene is good enough for me which shows how good their acting are in portraying their affection for each other. Hope to see them more in other series including Han-joon.

Yaya Jan 12 2018 12:03 pm It's not the best drama but it's a good drama with many good lessons. I really love Park Eunbin and Yeon Woojin before this drama aired, and they make me falling in love more with them. The characters, not only Judge Lee and Judge Sah, are not annoying at all. I like how strong Jungjoo, and even more Hanjoon. Judge Sah also became one of my favorite characters, it's like he is my ideal man lol.

Surprisingly, I didn't get mad at all at the absence of kissing scene ㅋㅋ instead, their grabbing-hand scene was more heart-fluttering than some kiss scenes out there. It's like watching a Japanese drama with a little-to-no intimate scene.

Overall, I think if you like seeing strong and smart characters on drama, give this show try. The story is not thrilling as some law/criminal drama, but it's refreshing to see criminal cases on judge's viewpoint.

For me same, i think it's a good production, attention to details, some times they missed, but can't expect perfection. PD, staff, all actors good job, they worked hard. Judges Senior Junior everyone well dressed, looks smart and neat. Especially Yeon Woo Jin, i like his style in this drama the best, jumpers, suits, coats, shoes all smart and very stylish, and he looks so handsome, the perfect arrogant smart rich guy. I just love every time he has a conversation with his Senior Judges, he's so smart that others have no words but envy and admire him.

Both Park Eun Bin and Yeon Woo Jin must had practice very very hard for this drama with those legal terms, rules and fast speeches, and they did it convincingly.

I also like all the close up frame of Eun Bin, her eyes are so clear and shining, and she looks just beautiful, i think this PD just know how to capture one's beauty. I think i will watch her next drama if i like the cast, in the mean time I'll slowly re watching this drama till i find something else i like.

The writers handle the story very well. I like it because this drama has the feels of "you think you know what happens but it doesn't happen the way you think". It is slow to start. The first few episodes may make you want to quit this drama but if you continue on, you'll end up liking it because everything falls to place. This is one of the case where I find the side characters (the interns) so useless. I mean we see them in the beginning which they did seem important in a way but midway and towards the end, they just disappeared. Like they serve no purpose anymore. Also, don't expect romance in this. This is very heavily focus on the story. I think the writers tried to put a little romance however didn't do as well in my opinion. I just never felt the chemistry between the leads. Overall, good story and every problem seems to be solved.

Dong HA love him from glamorous tempatiton and suspicious partner, na hae ryung (jin se ra) didn't see her much in this drama or is it just me ! i love the way her character was not a rival to park eun bin such as rivally against love as this was not the plot. I'm not expecting any revelations on Prof. Yoo Myung-Hee character. E28 IS REALLY HEART BREAKING !!! Kudos to the cast and staffs for giving us such great drama to watch. I surely recommend this to everyone. ♥♥♥

Pammo Nov 30 2017 7:08 pm I really want to watch this drama and I've made it to the 6th episode BUT the background music and sounds are so annoying and distracting that the drama loses its storytelling abilities. Just plain conversations don't need dramatic effect or comedic relief sounds to give the viewers a sense of the action that is taking place. It is OVERDONE to the extreme. I just wish some of these directors realized that sound and sound effects have a "circus" atmosphere in serious dramas. I don't want to abandon this drama but my tolerance level for the sounds is driving me to give it a pass. Is this suppose to be a comedy -- I am not laughing at all -- very serious topics and actions have occurred in the storyline -- keep it serious.

The judges are too emotional and there are too much of flashbacks... Anyways the lead actors are really good soo I’m gonna continue with this one.. Please writernim do a better job:):)

I've never been a fan of Woo Jin but his hairstyle in this drama is really suit him, also the glasses! Eun Bin surprisingly charming either. I can feel the chemistry between both of them just by only watching the very first seconds when she didn't hit him intentionally with her shoes! I'm looking forward to the next episodes. I think this will be one of the greatest drama if they keep the right pace. For those who haven't watched this yet I suggest to try this one. It's really good with the opening scene that left us curious and decided to watch it until the end.

Brian Nov 25 2017 4:17 am Interesting -- lots of familiar faces here, including the guy from marriage not dating and something boss. And the actress who was his mother in marriage not dating is also in this show playing a law professor.

When I first saw Park Eun Bin in Age of Youth I thought she was cute but not that attractive -- I think it was the short hair. Whenever I see her with longer hair I find her very attractive. So far it's a pretty interesting show, although I think personally, it is sort of tricky writing a drama dealing with judges, as they are under strict rules in general. I think prosecutors are a lot more interesting in drama land.

But after watching the first two episodes, I will have to revise my expectations. For me the problem lies with the writing. I feel like the writer does not have even a basic idea of the working of the legal system and doesn't care to find out either. So the drama comes off as the same old predictable assemble of tropes albeit in the pretense of a different dressing. The characters could just as easily have been prosecutors, lawyers, or any other court staff.In short I am peeved.

And I've been addicted to Yeon Woo Jin's acting ever since I watched Marriage Not Dating. I just recently watched Introverted Boss and Queen for Seven days then re-watched MND bec. of him, and yet I can't still get enough. Thankfully he has a new drama.
