Song Soo-Jung (Gong Seung-Yeon) is a top star and she is very arrogant. She classifies people by how much money they have. Suddenly, she goes back in time to the Goryeo era and meets On Dal (Lee Jong-Hyun). He will do anything to make money, but in fact he is generous to the weak and poor.

JD Feb 23 2022 8:26 am I am not a fan of romcoms; they are usually quite boring, but I really enjoyed this one, probably because it was funny and light-hearted, and the time-travel aspect made it a bit different. Both the lead characters were good; as were all the other characters, especially Go Il-Yong, and his laugh! Yes, there were plot holes, but I haven't watched any dramas (Korean or otherwise) that did not have holes; the ending was a bit unexplained but at least they ended up together.

I'm not surprised when a lot of people criticise it as the worst. Truth is, I didn't like it when I first saw the trailer. I don't know what happened to me, when I finally get it. Actually, when you go deeper and start to understand their chemistry, that is when you will appreciate this cute light hearted comedy.

It's not really a well written drama. There are a lot of plot holes and story line kinda sucks (especially the ending). The editing is not that bad tho.

Btw, GSY is an amazing actress!! Overall the drama lacks in a lot of aspects but it is worth a watch for someone who likes romantic comedies ~

This web drama is definitely not for those who dig complex plots and serious plots. This drama's main objective is comedy and romance, so the whole 'serious plot' - thingy doesn't exist in this. Hence, it has many plot holes which may annoy some viewers (those who want a complex drama)

However, despite the plot holes, I definitely enjoyed this web drama. It's short and sweet—and the chemistry between the leads was top-notched! The male lead actor isn't good at acting normally but the chemistry he had with the female lead here pretty much covered up his bad acting therefore the drama didn't feel uncomfortable.

The comedy is pretty silly but hilarious. And as of the bottom commenters who say the female lead is overreacting, I'm sorry but that's pretty normal when it comes to Asian dramas, and I'm saying that as someone who lives in Asia.

Whatsoever, this drama was fun to watch and basically it's the kind of drama to binge on when you're bored or you want something to spend your weekend with. Overall rating– 8.5/10 <3 Rather than stopping yourself with negative reviews, you should give them yourself a try to see if it's worth for you since not everyone is the same.

The plot is silly and execution is atrocious, the lead guy isn't in par with her acting skills and she deserves a much better character to portray. PS her performance in Six Flying Dragons, AYHT and Circle were amazing. I'm so disappointed in this drama, if it weren't for the shippers rooting for GongLee reunion I doubt this will receive good feedback. Cringey in every second!

This show is interesting in many ways, I love the characters, acting is wonderful, the story is romantic and funny, but also very human, very pure. Great fantasy and yet so relatable in many ways.

Gong Seung youn isn't suitable with this kind of role, too overacting. Coming after seeing her better performance in Circle and Are You Human Too, this drama surely left a bad taste on your mouth. Great cast, each ideally suited to their character - excellent performances - I totally enjoyed the series and really hope there will be a series 2 which can hopefully explain where Boong Boong came from and why he is magical plus, detail how On-Dal managed to travel forward in time without being in Boong Boong

But I hope the story explained how did it all started especially about Boong boong and the history. I really want to know what happened when On Dal travelled the future world. But above all, this is a worth watching drama! Season 2 please! :)

Zephy Nov 28 2017 1:05 am Light historical drama it was funny and unique in its own way, the chemistry of the actors and actress exceeds my expectation, I was rooting for each one of them. What bothers me is that they could have explained more about the time travel van named Boong Boong who, why it was invented and how did it become alive? The connection between Boong Boong with the history book, How did On-Dal manage to time travel without the van? It was confusing because after the van travel back in time and return to the present it suddenly stop from traveling back which contradicts with the last scene that Song Soo-Jung rides to van does it mean it will travel back time because On-Dal is the past and Song Soo-Jung is in the present? I was also disappointed how they left out the Mother of On-Dal I was hoping she would able to talk back. Also even Kim Bo Ra made a cameo role they made her role important which was crucial because she was playing the sister of Go Il-Yong.

Martina Oct 12 2017 9:12 am I started watching this series as a random choice on Netflix because I wanted to watch something out of the blue, the beginning of the show felt a bit "meh" for me since I thought it was trying too hard to be funny, but over time it grew on me and I noticed that the characters developed (especially Su-Jeong), and I started to love it. The show feels more mature later on and starts to focus more on the love between Su-Jeong and On Dal, and the conflict of them (Su-Jeong and Sam-Young) staying or not. The show definitely has its flaws and messes some things up, but man, they sure can make you care about the main characters. I felt such a heartache at the end of the show and cried a couple of times, incredible chemistry that develops slowly over time and feels real. I can, without a doubt, say that I love this show. Recommend it strongly!

Brit Oct 06 2017 11:39 am Really nice, light hearted drama. Its easy to marathon it in abt 12 hrs, with its comedy and somewhat unique plot. As much as I enjoyed it and the cast's chemistty, I couldnt help but think the whole ptoject could havebeen better executed- you may notice the makeup is overly white to the point that actors sometimes look green + sick, tacky freeze frames in the first half of the series (made me think the ep would end) and stretched out recaps of the prev episode at every beginning. SPOILERS AHEAD The conclusion also felt a bit disappointing, I get that they were implying they continued to see each other but the On Dal didn't have a lasting impression despite their marriage, and his poor mum never got an ending!! I would've liked to see him appear in modern times as the On Dal actor on (with memories) set but

overall it was very funny, would suggest to watch with friends for a comfy night it. 8/10

Maida Aug 03 2017 11:55 am I've been watching KDrama's since 2010, and I love this show so much !! I marathoned it all in one night, it's such a cute hidden gem. I fell in love with both leads during the first episode. I also love how their love grew gradually with time, and how the boy didn't go from jerk to nice guy right away just for the girl. I just really loved this show and the actors and the characters and the plots. I really hope Netflix continues making kdrama's like this. I remember watching another drama they did (it was Japanese), and it was so good so I already had high hopes going into this. This show gave me My Love From Another Star and Scarlet Heart Ryeo feels!! I especially love how they emphasized the whole time travel bit throughout the show instead of just talking about it in the beginning and end !! It made it feel more real. Throughout the show I was waiting for a past incarnation of the ex-boyfriend to show up, but he never did. I was also confused on why it was never mentioned again? It's okay though, the show is still soo good! I marathoned it in one night so everything was fresh in my head which is why I remembered that fact. I really wish they had shown On Dal seeing the city and experiencing the future. I was really hoping that would happen towards the ending and was left somewhat unsatisfied. Or at least a little epligue?? I'm just really glad the didn't reincarnate On Dal like they did in Gu Family Book.

Tbh, Lee Jonghyun sometimes had awkward face expressions in this drama but he was bearable. Not as good as his band member Yonghwa and Minhyuk but I admit that he has his own charm and it won't make you bored. As for Gong Seungyeon. I give my thumbs up for her. This drama wouldn't be this good if the main female lead ain't her.

This drama has typical rom-com time-travelling plot. If you like light rom-com drama like 1% of Anything, I recommend this drama for you. But, if you are searching for makjang drama with high frustration level, maybe this drama isn't for you.

Tocxica Jun 14 2017 2:39 am There are a lot of issues with this drama's execution. From obvious lace front seams and Time Lord technology van (really, how DID all of the modern day things fit into that thing?) to the over use of flashbacks to the point of tediousness and the copious mid-scene freezes per episode the storytelling can begin to drag. Without all of the freezes (which Kdrama fans are more likely to expect from the end of an episode) and padding with showing over-saturated flashbacks (some even from the same episode) I'm convinced the show would have been able to fit in a whole other episode's worth of plot. No. Netflix's foray into Kdrama production does not dazzle me. That's not to say the show didn't have it's good parts. The plot, when we actually got to it, is funny and engaging with a good tempering of emotion and silliness. The actors are spot on in their line delivery and are very believable. If you take out the extra padding for run time, work on makeup application with such high res shooting, and suspend your disbelief for a bit you find yourself watching a thoroughly good drama with likeable, flawed characters and pretty good writing.

Lee Jong Hyun improved a lot and I hope to see him more on other drama series. Two Thumbs up for this drama because it made my heart flutter a hundred times. I can't wait to watch the next season.

Janice Jun 11 2017 2:26 pm My Only Love Song exceeded my expectations especially in kissing scenes. I didn't expect that viewers will get to watch 5 hot kissing scenes. I thought it was just a smack base on photo that PD posted on his IG. It was a funny drama. I had a good laugh while watching it with my friends. Jonghyun's acting was really funny, he's really suited to a comedy role, though I also laughed at his some awkward acting, his acting improved a lot too after his stint in Orange Marmalade. I cannot with Seungyeon's acting. She embraced the dynamic character role in the story. She's good! Well, she always improved in every project she's doing. Ahn Bohyun's acting in MOLS was very challenging. He did a good job for a non speaking role. Jaejin was such a cutie and good as well. Jonghyun and Seungyeon's chemistry is so natural. I guess it's because they were in the WGM before, so it was easy for them to act together. I bet the director had a smooth sailing working esp with the 2 leads. I never thought I'll enjoy watching time slip drama, however, the editing is poor, the production could have done it better. Anyway, I am still satisfied with MOLS. I am happy to see Jonghyun and Seungyeon acting together.

I fell in love with Jonghyun and Seungyeon's chemistry since they were in WGM and i am so happy to see them doing a drama together. I can definitely say that they didn't disappoint the fans with their acting skills even though i feel like they're not doing acting at all because i can see that they are genuinely in love with each other (on/off cam). I bet Jonghyun waited a long time to gain that kiss! Haha! Please date each other in real life jebal~ XD

They recently signed a contract with Netflix to distribute it worldwide as a "Netflix Original." The filming is all finished so they just need to subtitle the series in the languages that Netflix services -- it should be released soon.
