Episode 1 "Life Is Like A Box Of Chocolates"
On Christmas Eve, 28-year-old Kim Samsoon goes to a hotel to look for her cheating boyfriend, Min Hyunwoo.
Hyunwoo, who Samsoon has suspected for some time, checks into a room with a certain beautiful woman.
Although Samsoon wants to beat Hyunwoo and the strange woman to death, when she sees him, she can’t help but cry and beg him to stay with her.
Meanwhile, Jinhun is forced to go on a blind date by his mother, who wants him to find someone to take care of his niece.
Jinhun walks past Samsoon and her boyfriend, sees her crying and thinks that some special Christmas event must be going on.
Only 15 minutes into the blind date, Jinhun gets bored and decides to leave, only to have water thrown in his face by his date. He goes to the bathroom to clean himself off, but runs into Samsoon again, who is in the men’s bathroom crying her eyes out over her broken heart.
Samsoon, who is unemployed, starts gaining more weight from the stress of breaking up with Hyunwoo.
She doesn’t have time to heal from her past relationship,
let alone get her life back on track.
Samsoon, who had once worked many part-time jobs just to save money to go to Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in France to study, goes for an interview at Bon Appetit restaurant, only to run into Jinhun again.
This time they don’t just run into each other, but Samsoon’s hair gets stuck in Jinhun’s tie clip. Jinhun decides to cut off Samsoon’s hair, and an enraged Samsoon goes after him and throws the cake she had made for her interview right in his face.
Episode 2 " Should We Try Dating?"
At the welcome party for Samsoon at Jinhun’s restaurant, everyone is having a good time and Samsoon tries to do a sexy dance for Jinhun, but Jinhun just is shocked and doesn’t know what to do.
Meanwhile, Kim Heejin is on a plane returning to Korea after having been gone for 3 years. After she arrives in Seoul, she takes out her old cell phone and turns it on to find an old picture of her and Jinhun.
Samsoon goes on a blind date and finally meets her ideal man, but little does she know that Jinhun is on another boring blind date in the same place.
Jinhun decides to play a trick and pretends to approach Samsoon as her boyfriend, relieving him of his date.
Samsoon, who was happy to finally meet someone she thought she could marry, becomes furious and says she won’t work at Jinhun’s restaurant anymore.
Episode 3 "Tell me the Conditions of Our Love Contract!"
Jinhun asks Samsoon to pretend she’s his girlfriend in front of his mother.
Samsoon wonders why it has to be her and Jinhun says it is because there is no chance of anything happening between the two of them.
Samsoon’s older sister, Yiyoung surprises Samsoon on her way home from work.
Yiyoung has returned home after recently having been divorced, and her mother can’t believe what’s happened and doesn’t know what to do.
Later, Cherry goes to the restaurant to make a reservation for her engagement party. When she finds out that Samsoon is making her cake, she is unhappy. Suddenly, Cherry’s fiancé walks up and it happens to be Samsoon’s ex-boyfriend, Hyunwoo.
Samsoon is devastated that she will have to make the engagement cake for her ex-boyfriend.
Samsoon’s mother is struck with worry and stress because of her daughter’s divorce and now the house that they live in will be taken away because of her late husband’s debt.
Samsoon is stressed out and worries about her mother and their house as well.
Episode 4 "Over the Rainbow"
A certain woman walks into the restaurant during non-operating hours. She sees Samsoon’s name tag, which says “Kim Heejin” on it, and mentions that they have the same name. Samsoon hesitates to serve her, but offers her some coffee anyway.
A rumor that Jinhun and Samsoon are dating is going around the restaurant.
Jinhun brings a bouquet of roses to Samsoon at the restaurant and says it’s their 100-day anniversary.
Jinhun acts without any hesitation and Samsoon can’t understand him.
Jinhun and Samsoon go to one of their competitor’s restaurants to check out their food when they run into Hyunwoo and Cherry.
Later, there is a couple at the restaurant. This couple is a man who is cheating on his wife and his lover.
To smooth over the situation, Samsoon asks Jinhun to play the piano for the heart-broken wife.
With no way out, Jinhun begins playing the piano.
Then, Yoo Heejin walks into the restaurant and Samsoon begins to feel jealous.
Episode 5 "Love is Childish"
After seeing Kim Heejin, Jinhun gets drunk and passes out. Samsoon takes him back to his apartment.
As Samsoon tries to leave, the drunk Jinhun embraces her and doesn’t let her go. Samsoon has no choice but to stay the night at his place.
Early the next morning, someone rings the doorbell at Jinhun’s apartment.
Samsoon is surprised when she opens the door to find Heejin standing there, instead of Jinhun’s mom, who had previously stopped by.
Meanwhile, Samsoon’s sister, Yiyoung, goes to the restaurant to see why Samsoon stayed out all night.
Mr. Lee, the head chef, wonders why Yiyoung doesn’t touch any of the food that she ordered, and goes to her table to find out.
Jinhun and Heejin talk about things and Jinhun accuses her of staying in the States because there was another guy,
He tells her that he searched for her at every single university there but didn’t find her name anywhere.
After hearing what Jinhun has to say, Heejin begins to cry.
Episode 6 "The Heat of a Kiss, The Heat of Love"
Hyunwoo asks Samsoon to make his engagement cake for him as a favor,
Samsoon agrees and is about to sabotage the cake, but doesn’t go through with it. Instead she makes an amazing cake with tears in her eyes.
Jinhun and Samsoon share a moment at the piano as he teaches her how to play a song.
They share stories over brandy and cake and they feel close and intimate.
In the heat of the moment, Samsoon suddenly stands up to go home, but she’s a little tipsy and loses her balance. Right before she falls, Jinhun scoops her up in his arms and holds her close to him. Samsoon’s heart begins to beat harder with the sound of the rain outside and their faces get closer.
Episode 7 " Madeline, In Search of Lost Time"
This episode opens at Jinhun’s family’s hotel opening ceremony in Jeju Island.
Jinhun sees Hyunwoo and stares at him as he goes to talk to Samsoon.
Hyunwoo gives Samsoon a gift and tells her to end her relationship with Jinhun.
Jinhun sees this and gets fired up. He goes over to Hyunwoo, grabs him by the neck and begins punching him.
As Jinhun and Samsoon go back to their room, Jinhun reminds Samsoon that in the contract she’s not supposed to be seeing anyone else.
Jinhun also told Samsoon to only listen to him from now on, but Samsoon didn’t seem to care.
Later in their hotel, Jinhun gets comfortable and rests his head on Samsoon’s stomach and shares his history about his brother and sister-in-law and how they died.
Jinhun becomes overwhelmed with emotion and begins to cry. Samsoon holds him while tears well up in her eyes.
Meanwhile, Heejin and Henry, Heejin’s handsome friend from the States, arrive at the same hotel in Jeju Island to attend the ceremony.
Henry tries to tell Heejin to forget about Jinhun, since he’s already in love with someone else.
As Jinhun and Samsoon leave the hotel, they run into Heejin and Henry. Heejin says she needs a moment with Jinhun to talk and grabs his hand, but Samsoon grabs Jinhun’s other hand and doesn’t let go.
Episode 8 "Father, why is it so hard for me to find love?"
After what happened in Jeju Island, Jinhun doesn’t go back to work and Samsoon begins to worry. She can’t get in contact with him, waits for him to call and can’t sleep at night because of him.
After finding out that Heejin’s been ill, Jinhun insists that she get a checkup upon returning to Seoul. Henry, her friend and doctor as well, brought over all her medical charts and Jinhun feels intimidated by him.
Samsoon shares with her sister that she misses Jinhun, but Yiyoung tells Samsoon that she must never be with him, and Samsoon begins to cry.
Samsoon prepares porridge at the crack of dawn and takes it over to Jinhun’s place, thinking that he is ill.
Before she presses his doorbell, she practices what shes going to say, but when Jinhun finally opens the door, Heejin is standing behind him.
Episode 9 "You Treat my Heart Like a Toy"
Jinhun’s mother, President Na, decides to use Samsoon to keep Jinhun and Heejin apart.
Jinhun is shocked to see Samsoon at his brother and sister-in-law’s burial site with his mother, who invited her. President Na leaves Samsoon to ride home with Jinhun, no matter how much Jinhun insists that they’ve broken up.
Samsoon gives Jinhun a letter of resignation.
Jinhun doesn’t want to lose his best pastry chef, so he tries to convince her to stay.
Jinhun and Heejin talk about the old days and old memories they share at a secret place they used to hang out at.
Meanwhile, Samsoon is tipsy and sings on her way home
Samsoon tries to forget about Jinhun, but keeps crying. Her mother sees her and asks her sister what’s going on.
Episode 10 "My name is Kim Heejin"
As Jinhun is about to leave the restaurant to go home, he stops at the baker’s corner where Samsoon used to work. He thinks about her and smiles to himself as he thinks of a plan to bring her back by giving her a raise.
However, Samsoon rejects his offers.
Samsoon, who’s hated her name her entire life, finally gets permission from her mother to officially change it. She thinks that her life will finally take a turn for the better as soon as she changes her name. She happily makes her way to the office to change her name.
Later, Samsoon goes on another blind date with high hopes, only to be disappointed and insulted about her weight and age.
Meanwhile, Heejin goes to see Jinhun’s mother and tries to get along with her like she did in the old days, but Jinhun’s mother gives her the cold shoulder.
Heejin meets up with Henry, but Henry can tell that something is wrong.
Cherry sees Samsoon on her blind date and tells Jinhun about it. Jinhun comes up with an idea.
Since Samsoon left the restaurant, things have been falling apart, so as soon as Jinhun hears where Samsoon is, he runs to see her.
Episode 11 " This is the second time we've kissed. Don't say it was a mistake."
Samsoon can’t believe that two guys are fighting over her.
Jinhun asks Samsoon not to leave him, but she ignores him and goes on her way.
Jihun is shocked that Samsoon has rejected him.
The upset Jinhun goes home and lets his anger out on Samsoon’s stuffed animal.
Samsoon decides to go on a diet.
She tries to go on an all-vegetable diet, but it doesn’t last.
Jinhun calls Samsoon to come pick up her bike at his apartment as an excuse to see her.
As Jinhun is taking Samsoon home with her bike, Heejin calls him and asks him who he is with, but he lies to her.
Episode 12 "So what? I'm 30 now!"
Jinhun confesses to Samsoon that he thinks about her all the time, and Samsoon begins to cry because she is so happy.
Samsoon’s sister, Yiyoung, tells Jinhun that he had better not hurt Samsoon and to not see her anymore, but Jinhun says that he can’t do that.
Heejin begins to get nervouse because she notices Jinhun’s strange behavior.
Heejin meets up with Samsoon and asks her to stop confusing Jinhun, but Samsoon answers back that Jinhun may be her last opportunity and that it’s up to Jinhun to decide.
Samsoon pays Jinhun back the $50,000 that she borrowed and asks for the deed to her house. He returns the papers to her, but rips up the money.
Samsoon is shocked that Jinhun ripped up the money and Jinhun claims that he likes her so much that if he has to, he’ll sell his restaurant, too.
Episode 13 "Having to Break Up"
Jinhun follows Samsoon to Halla Mountain and asks her to sign another contract, but this time he wants to make it last for 100 years, but Samsoon just ignores his request.
Jinhun hears it is Samsoon’s birthday and makes a special birthday soup for Samsoon and gives it to her on the mountain. Samsoon is moved.
Jinhun refuses to allow Samsoon to change her name to “Kim Heejin,” but Samsoon doesn’t care and brags about her name change application getting approved.
Heejin begins to get depressed because she can’t get in touch with Jinhun, so she spends time with Henry, but it still doesn’t help.
Jinhun’s mother goes to Samsoon’s house because Jinhun is continuing to meet Samsoon, regardless of her opposition to it.
Epsiode 14 "The Basis of Love"
Jinhun tells Heejin that he wants to be with Samsoon and Heejin tries to be calm, but bursts into tears. Jinhun’s heart aches and he holds her.
Jinhun’s mother finds out that he had made a love contract with Samsoon and yells at him for what he’s done.
Samsoon can’t get in touch with Jinhun, so she goes to the restaurant to look for him and she finds out that he’s been sick.
Samsoon makes porridge for him and takes it over to his house. Jinhun rests his head on Samsoon’s stomach and feels at peace.
The next day, Samsoon and Jinhun go out and do the top 7 things Samsoon wanted to do once she got a boyfriend.
Jinhun thinks her requests are a little strange and childish, but he goes along with everything and Samsoon is happy. Jinhun gets nervous about Samsoon’s number 1 request.
Episode 15 "Dating by the Book"
Samsoon runs into Jinhun and Heejin at Jinhun’s apartment and laughs, but is upset. Jinhun runs after her to explain things. Samsoon tells Jinhun that it feels like he’s dating both of them.
Samsoon goes to Heejin’s house with some porridge, but Heejin doesn’t appreciate it.
Samsoon forces Heejin to eat the porridge. They begin to fight about Jinhun and Henry walks in on them.
Heejin decides to return to the States where her parents live and as one last request, asks Jinhun to escort her there.
Episode 16 "Love Like You've Never Been Hurt Before"
Jinhun is nowhere to be seen after going to the States with Heejin for what was supposed to be a week-long trip.
Samsoon begins to hate Jinhun for not even calling her all this time and cries over the fact that she had dreamed of a perfect love with him.
Samsoon is on her way to meet her blind date, who happens to be the guy she thought was perfect for her before, but is stopped by Jinhun, who arrives at the scene in his car.
Why are you seeing someone else?” asks Jinhun.
