Kiyozumi Hamada (Taishi Nakagawa) is a 3rd grader in high school. He possesses a strong sense of justice. One day, he sees first grade student Hari Kuramoto (Anna Ishii) being bullied. He helps her. Since that time, Kiyozumi Hamada tries to save Hari Kuramoto from bullies. While doing that, they grow closer.

Ryu Samuël Jan 02 2022 7:15 am SPOILER: it's simple: the boy and his mom in the beginning of the movie are Kiyozumi's son (Arashi) and Hari (she changed her name to Tomoyo Harada). It's not a time loop, the son just told the story of his parents.

Nathalie Jan 01 2022 6:44 am (SPOILER!) I was first confused about the ending. But it’s pretty simple. The boy from the beginning is the Son of Hari and Hamada. It’s like he’s telling the story of his father. That why in the end we see the scene of his “father dying”. It’s not a loop. That was my first thought too. But it’s just the story telling. And in the end we see his son again. I don’t like that he’s dead but all in one it was made pretty good. Such a plot twist.

i just finished watching this. OMG i dont really understand the story and the ending??!!!

so, the boy that sit down in the beginning and ending is Kiyozumi+Hari son named Arashi (i just know the name from the cast)?? and the whole movie is about Kiyosumi's past (his dead father) about meeting Hari, save her, and become his wife, then he die in the river while rescuing someone while "Hari" is giving birth to the son??

hmm yea the son mention that his mother tell story about his father, make her happy, etc. but its take to the ending that i just realize the whole movie is about the father.

i thought the one that swim and rescue in the river is the same boy that sit in study desk in the beginning, that he do the same thing that his father do.

well a bit complicated!! i thought the story is about the boy that sit down there, turn out its about the father. hmmm... i got really mixed feeling watching this and about the story at whole.. maybe i will just give this 7,5 score.

Glad to see Anna Ishii is back, plus with second lead too! She's really cute whole time is she? Plus that straight long hair, I really like it.

Ahhh man... this movie took my heart broken! I swear to god! This movie could have a better ending! I don't know if the ending considered as good or bad ending, it's balanced. I was really enjoying the high school life of theirs until I saw that psycho-dad appeared, It made me upset not gonna lie. I thought the problem was just a weak normal school girl got bullied, but for some reason the plot extended their troubles using Hari's dad. So the movie kinda rushed to end because of it in my opinion. I know it's hero-ish type movie, but I was so sad that Hamada should died after succesfully rescued the little girl, then he 'maybe' decided to drown himself in order to meet the old Hari by doing heroic stuff, because the present Hari is 'just' not using her name. But she's the same Hari from highschool! The same goddamn person! I mean you still able to call her Hari right? instead of committing suicide to meet old Hari, which is kinda stupid for me personally.

He does realize that Hari is still alive with just using different name! who would he meet afterlife if the real her still standing strong there, am I right? Oh! I almost forgot that they both kissed! That means their loving affection is still growing stonger! That's the part when I got it really weird point isn't? I mean come on! If you loved someone, you don't need to leave her behind.. it doesn't make sense that you put the main character died just to become son's hero. I mean heroes doesn't always die you know especially for a good movie, you can do a better plot to have really good ending, for example :

You can decide that Hamada is not dead, as we can see he's good at swimming and he also succeed deliver that little girl back then he gets off from the river, as he stand up the worried crowd cheered up at him immediately after witnessed his effort for saving victims (Hamada feeling grateful while smiling that time). The moment caught by media and spread across Japan fast as a heroic hot news that got many people's attention. After that there's a scene when imaginary UFOs they've suffering from, disappeared. And became their goodness, then Hamada and Hari continue their lives as a happy family (this is the result of the romance). Later on, they had a son named Arashi (Takumi), Hamada told Arashi his heroic journey story with his wife besides, and then Arashi simply got inspired to what his dad did in the past. Finally, same as before, Arashi wanted to be like his dad. The End.

Oh yeah, one more thing. There is no scene when Adult Hari tells an inspiring story about her heroic husband to Takumi at the end, which is kinda annoyed me that he was that great father from her own perspective.

If they still facing the same UFOs once again even after married, Hamada's dead probably would make the UFOs still remain on top of Hari's sky, since she is still breathing isn't? If the movie made Hamada's dead caused both UFO to vanish, so the issues was on Hamada after all right? that's the meaning when he said, "I'll shot you down".

Anyway, the film it's perfectly done for some people, well-cast by the actors. The last time I saw Anna Ishii was in Your Lie in April, and Taishi Nakagawa in Nijiiro Deizu & Kakegurui, both has the same age and also my favorite actors, of course! Those two has amazing chemistry no joke. I love this movie so much, especially the transition, it's really smooth to watch.

michiaru Aug 12 2021 8:52 am the cast and film was very interesting. indeed the movie was very creative. I was caught off guard with the twist of plot. hats off to the Director and Staff for a very good film. arigato guzaimazu. Anna Ishii very promising actress and actor Taishi nakagawa.

PS: Looking forward for future films such as this kind of movie. I was so focused on the romance and drama not knowing that theres some kind of wickedness happening already.(gomenasai for being a spoiler) perhaps i was so deeply dragged into the movie and its form of drama.
