Plot
Within the narrow streets of Changsin neighborhood, an old woman lives there. The old woman's name is So-Sun which means literally "small fairy". She has a big, warm heart. Since her son Jeon Tae-Il passed away, So-Sun spends her time with neighbors who suffer. The film "Mother" follows the old woman over the course of two years and her meeting with the stage actors that perform the play "Mother, Goodbye". The play "Mother, Goodbye" tells the story of Jeon Tae-Il and his mother Lee So-Sun, prior to the day that Jeon Tae-Il burns himself to death.
