Gotaro Sekiguchi (Yutaka Takenouchi) and Yuri Fujise (Aya Ueto) are newspaper reporters. They wrote an incorrect report about a serial kidnapping/murder case. Due to their mistake, Gotaro Sekiguchi was demoted to a branch office and Yuri Fujise was placed on probation.
7 years later, Gotaro Sekiguchi works at the newspaper's Saitama branch. He is training rookie reporter Shota Okada (Kanichiro). Gotaro Sekiguchi still chases the serial kidnapping/murder case from his past. Two new kidnappings takes place. The victims are girls. Gotaro Sekiguchi suspects these 2 cases are related to the case from 7 years ago. Gotaro Sekiguchi and Yuri Fujise go after the truth.
