Hyeong-Goo (Cho Jin-Woong) is detective. He investigates a fire accident site in a country village. The home were the fire accident took place belonged to married couple Soo-Hyeok (Bae Soo-Bin) and Yi-Young (Cha Soo-Yeon). The married couple died from suffocation. Hyeong-Goo senses something suspicious about village residents Hae-Kyun (Jung Hae-Kyun) and Doo-Hee (Jang Won-Young). He investigates the case.

One day, he wakes up in the house where the fire accident took place. He finds that his life has completely changed. The house which burned down in his memory, is standing unblemished. The village residents call him teacher instead of detective. His family, house, and job has completely disappeared.

Kirk Jun 08 2021 12:31 pm This film started out intriguing. There is a very kind teacher who has a gentle wife. They are a lovely couple but there is something strange. I thought at first it was paranormal because of the scene when the husband was remembering his deceased mum while eating with his wife, then his wife started speaking in the voice of his mum and he smiles and calls his wife "mum" so I thought it would be a possession story. The way his wife changes voice when she takes on the personality of another person is quite creepy. In any case, I was enjoying the story until I got to the 3rd part where it seems that the life of the couple had just been an episode of the cop's (who wasn't actually a cop but a teacher) mental breakdown. I haven't fully grasped wth is really going on but my understanding is that both the kind teacher and his gentle-yet-crazy-at-night wife are part of the Hyeong-goo's multiple personalities and all the events that happened for the entire duration the couple was existing were just his delusions. I guess when the couple personality died, the cop personality took over and he does not recognize the life of the original personality. I wonder what kind of person the original was. The students seem to be fond of him, his neighbor Hae-gyun is so accommodating and patient, the knitting teacher is also friendly with him, it seems a shame if this original personality is buried by the cop personality who is always sad, brooding and even violent. I liked the movie, the mystery was engaging and actors did a solid job. Unfortunately, the flow of the story towards the ending was so confusing and anti-climactic that, to me, it was a letdown.

I think he or she have a mental illines but one scene the detective got the key I think there's a bad spirit in the key and on the padlock and also the house because everyday the detective go there. One time the cast have a schizophrenia and one time the other one have a multiple personality disorder. But the one is they have got drinks when In the party. I don't know why but villagers there is something off...I really don't believe in the villagers what they say. Similarities like the drama of SAVE ME.

Movie Lover Dec 12 2020 9:37 am The story started out well. Piqued one's curiosity. But alas there was no conclusion. It was easy for the writer/ director to just simply lsaid leave it to the audience imagination. Easy way out. Waste of time.

Jade Dec 04 2020 1:23 am This film is really confused. I can understand it like that, the teacher has many character in him. He wakes up everyday with difference character, difference situation. What he sees, hears, anyone he meets in a day become his memory and after that he will imagine that memory is his real life. The couple in the beginning is his imagine, the fact is the teacher being alone. What happen in the film is his imagine, you can see he is always talk to himself. Sometimes he is normal, sometimes he is sick. That what i think. Anyone agree with me? (^_^) Have a nice day!

Maya Alvarez Dec 03 2020 1:20 am It is about mental illness. They didn't mention what kind and I cannot search for it, as there are so many kinds of mental illness. He really is a teacher, his dream is to be a cop with a perfect family. Teacher Kim is kindda like him, instead of the Teacher, Teacher Kim's wife is the one who is sick. He dreamed to have atleast a partner in life where he can take care of her and just love her even if she is sick. :(

What is the significance of the final phrase ... it is used often in the film ... I feel like maybe because I am not Korean I might be missing some important aspects ... or maybe it's up to me to understand on my own interpretation ... The final scene with Lee sun bun is so powerful but ... I just don't understand ...
