in 1920, Masaharu (Tetsuji Tamayama) comes back to Japan after 2 years in Scotland. He spent time there learning how to make whisky. When he returns, he brings his Scottish wife Eri (Charlotte Kate Fox). Masaharu’s family runs a sake brewery. His mother is upset he married a foreign woman. Masaharu's plan to brew whisky also fails.
