Plot

Joon-Young (Kam Woo-Sung) goes on a blind date after serving as the best man at a friend's wedding. Joon-Young is happy being single. He meets Yeon-Hee (Uhm Jung-Hwa), who works as a lighting designer. Yeon-Hee is searching for the right guy to marry. Unfortunately, Joon-Young doesn't fit her criteria. Nevertheless, they are both attracted to each other. After talking frankly and drinking, the couple go to a motel room. Can their relationship last?

jinjoo Oct 10 2019 4:30 pm if i'm not mistaken it seems that joon young had some kinda regrets (?) that he didn't marry Yeon hee or he just didn't believe in marriage as he said earlier in the movie he cldnt stand the fact that he'll be telling lies about a relationship? On the other hand i believe Yeon hee was willing to marry him but what she's done cheating her husband was wrong! quite sad they ended up that way! good movie

CKW Mar 01 2017 8:01 am Only a fool would believe men marry for convenience whereas women don't. I live in Asia, and like xxxzxxx pointed out, it's usually the women who marry for convenience here. And from what I've read in the west, it's the same there. Gasenadi needs a reality check for his/her lack of insight in the real world.

I completely agree. This is not empowering women, cheating on your husband and toying with your lover's feelings is simply wrong, not empowering. I felt bad for Joon-Young and the husband.

I disagree - it's normally the women that marry based on financial situations and status while men normally cares less about that. I don't know where you live but in most countries women have just as many affairs as men - they are just better at keeping them a secret. I didn't like this movie and it seems to me that there are more and more movies trying to empower women by having them have affairs and such but in my opinion it does not come off as empowerment but rather sad. Cheating is bad no matter if it's the man or the woman who does it and I felt sorry for the husband.

Gasenadi Apr 29 2012 7:14 pm LOL! I think I got it! This is a movie about role-reversal. I don't know about SKorea, but where I live the set-up Yeon-hee and Jun-young have is usually the other way around. The man marries for convenience/status/money and has a mistress on the side complete with parallel household. I sat through this movie just experiencing the love story "straight". Then, hours later while cooking in the kitchen, it HIT me! (I'm slow like that) Jun-young was experiencing what the "other woman" goes through in that kind of relationship. The dependence, the loneliness, the angst, the jealousy and guilt. Even to the ending! WOW!
