A man has the intelligence of a 7-year-old due to an accident. Han Yoo-Jung ([Uhm Hyun-Kyung]]) is a woman with a bright and positive personality. She aspired to become an announcer, but her poor family background made her give up on her dream. She now works hard to support her family. She also lives in atonement for her fraternal twin sister's wrongdoings.

Park Min Feb 23 2023 9:30 pm The whole pregnancy thing was a complete joke. How did the writer ever thought this would be passable for human consumption? I bet you if you asked ChatGPT to re-write that part it would come up with infinitely better scenario. At least it gave me a good chuckle. The story changes randomly to suit the writer without meaningful justification/resolution and some are just cut off without a mention. Like how Tae Pung's mother never hired a lawyer despite having millions? Anyway, the drama is the usual infinite loop of corporate hell until it reaches the end. Most of the revelations felt weak after a long build up. The drama was completely unhinged, you need to shut down every neuron in your brain to endure it.

Ch Feb 19 2021 12:56 pm Well don't watch this if you re searching for a good korean drama to watch given this is a daily drama so there's this usual dragging find a short episode drama which are really amazing and also I don't think kang eun tak deserved any award for his role his performance wasn't too convincing the actress who play yura was good but I still think female protagonist was the best especially when minu died I understood the actress' capability. However if you're thinking of watching this just forget it.

Though the villain always wins and hide her true identity and were able to out strength the femail lead, its reasonable because what the story wanted to imply that revenge is not for everyone specially for Yujung who have a pure heart. Taepoong doesnt want her to be destroyed because of revenge. I understand why the writer didnt let yujung won over Yura. Its enough that Taepoong deal with Yura. In the end, im relieved and satisfied on how Yura was punished. A disease that is incurable because she doesnt have a donor. I hope there’s a special episode for a wedding and having kids at least. Heart heart.

Quantum Nurse Feb 11 2021 6:19 pm In the beginning "A Man in a Veil" has an interesting story line, however, it gets flat after a mentally challenged character Lee Tae Pung becomes Yoo Min Hyeok, a lawyer with a Savant Syndrome condition. Actor Kang Eun Tak does well portraying a mentally challenged Lee Tae Pung, however, the lead characters Yoo Min Hyeok and his love interest Han Yoo Jung cannot develop lovable on-screen chemistry. They look like a puppet and a beautiful doll when they are on-screen together. Also lawyer Yoo Min Hyeok loses his focus and he lets Han Yoo Ra character portrayed by Actress Lee Chae Young takes over with her tantrum. Actress Lee Chae Young has all the facial features of an evil Han Yoo Ra, also her facial expressions tell the story of her evil intentions. Actor Lee Shi Kang steals the show as a spoil rich son and also as a lovable Director Cha Seo Joon that is able to convey his fondness and love to Han Yoo Jung.

The story gets interesting again after the Chairman Cha Woo Seok meets his former fiancee Yoon Su Hee / Seo Ji Sook. These two veteran supporting characters help catalyzing the events and make the story growing in intensity again. The two young supporting couples Kang Ye Jin and Han Yoo Myung portrayed by Chae Bin and Jang Tae Hoon are memorable; they are able to develop good on-screen chemistry that the leading characters fail to achieve. The appearances of supporting characters, Chairman Cha Woo Seok & Yoon Su Hee/Seo Ji Sook and also Kang Ye jin & Han Yoo Myung are appealing.

That was only until Yura came back and married Seo Jun and tries every way to get rid of people who tries to expose her. Up until ep 80+, it's still the same. AJ Jan 17 2021 8:41 pm Well, as far as the 2020 KBS Drama Awards is concerned, it is not that difficult for Kang Eun-Tak to win the highly-specialized category. I mean, in the context of "Daily Drama" category, he only had to beat nominees from Brilliant Heritage, No Matter What, and Fatal Promise. Even that, he had to share the award with Kim Yu-Seok (No Matter What). And mind you, it was Park In-Hwan (Brilliant Heritage) who won the Top Excellence Award anyway, deservedly.

Taepong who is supposed to have photographic memory after the accident could not recall that he talked with Ms Joo on his mom's phone and that she was the one his mom was meeting. That should have given him enough lead to investigate. Why are Taepong and Yoo Joong so reluctant to expose Yura's identity? Even without proof, with Seojun's resources, he could have easily investigated Yura's background if he wants to. Yura could not have managed to cover all her tracks from school to her previous jobs to her giving birth to her supposedly university in the States. How rich is Yura to have paid off everyone? SS Jan 15 2021 4:12 am I don't know what the writer wants to convey in this drama. Instead of making the audience excited for the next episodes, they will be pissed at how the story is going. Rich people nowadays have all the connections and resources, so how can a mere TV anchor manipulate almost every character in the story? Yura outshines everyone in the story, so she deserved an award. But Taepong's character is so lousy (sorry to say). His acting when he was mentally challenged and now that he's back to normal is the same. His character doesn't stand out with the rest of the cast considering he's the male lead.

Annoying for real Jan 14 2021 11:44 am I get if qe have a Villan who can keep making stuff and being mean and winning but what drives me nuts is that this overpower villain is overpower for no reason.... like all the stuff that has happen which tells you this person is a sociopath and can do anything to get it on her way even murder but they still decide to keep it quiet in her obvious identity .... and get her to the police and have a valid charge. But now they all decide to be quiet when it can actually go south for them cause they can be charged as complicit. Everyone in the drama beside the clueless ones are fucking bad.

Tae Poon and Seo Jung are still mooning over Yoo Jung who's agonizing about coming between Seo Jung and his murderous mother while dismissing the fact that Tae Poon saved her life. The brother is still acting all macho and mansplaining why he won't let his sister be with Seo Jung. Yu Ra is still cackling about her fake pregnancy while Seo Jung's mother, who has solicited attempted and real murders, cowers in her presence. Cheon Soo, who carried out those crimes and of course is Seo Joon's real father, is acting like an elder statesman and the voice of reason. Nobody has contacted the police yet about kidnapping and attempted murder by Yu Ra but Seo Joon, mama's boy, wanted his mother to turn herself in for a crime she can't be prosecuted for. And oh yes, Tae Poon has a head injury that will probably end up sending him back to his child-like state. Did I miss anything?

Abby c Jan 11 2021 11:05 pm The writer of this drama is not good at her/his craft. Making all the main characters all stupid or foolish just so the antagonist Yoo Ra can get away with everything. How stupid can that be? Han Yoo Ra kidnapped Yo Jung but none of them Tae Pong, Seo Joon, and Yoo Jung reported her to the police. She got away with it again. Like what? Again? Yoo Jung was hospitalised but her parents and others did not find out. How stupid is that? The production are just making this drama longer to the point that its getting more stupid, boring and predictable. I think Yoo Ra is the main character because she can get away with everything. Every episodes is about Yoo Ra getting away with her bad deeds. Also, Tae Poong one the main characters has not done anything except to roll his eyes, or not answer during confrontations. I want to quit watching this drama, so annoying already. Do not waste you time watching this! 100 episodes currently at EP 84 is not worth it.

In life, we are all main characters of our life's journey and The world is a stage. Some actually do get away with it like Yu Ra and some are foolish like Yu Jung. So don't be upset just watch everything unveil and enjoy it as it lasts. My only issue is that is terribly long.

Its year 2021 with modern technology, why they cant expose thru social media all Yura's past?? and god did you see the USB that says it has all the files of YURA past? haha, its easy to copy my god, and yet they still using that stupidity. If this drama is for 100 episode, you will suffer until episode 99, for sure last episode will be yura's fall, so if you want to get irritated because of the story, please skip future episodes and watch only the finale episode. So dissapointed with the male lead, who has nothing to do , just sitting on DL co. instead of finding what happened to his Mom death. Tae pong character here is very weak same as Han Jung . At least give us exciting episode to look forward to, let the main lead do something explosive against Yura. I'm sick and tired of Han Jung and Yura's confrontation scenes. Please i'm avid viewer of your drama but getting frustrated because of what the story is going on.

I like them better than the American dramas that stretch out over 15-20 years. Even Netflix is adapting to the shorter episode formula. At this juncture YuRa has taken over the show which is a major no no for ensemble drama 101. YooJung should not have to lose her soul. Sadly, this drama has been derailed and held hostage by the villainess. I guess in the end, YuRa and her mother in law will go to jail. SeoJun’s father will reunite with his first love. SeoJun will go crazy finding out all of the lies that have been told to him all this time. They will find out that MinWoo is alive and doing well because the mother in law orchestrated his fake death. YuRa’s mom will be the only one who doesn’t have to pay for her sins.

TP's mother helped their whole family to have a shelter and jobs but they didn't care enough to protect TP when his mom passed away. How could the twin's mother open her mouth saying to Yu Jung that "TP's is YJ's brother in law"? How could the father saying: "I decided to take him in as my son when we find him... though Yu Ra had cut ties with our family... he's still Min Woo's father... but I want you to give up on TP!"? Writer: All the quotes above make any sense to you or the drama watchers? I understand this is just a drama but at least do not go too far with reality! I was not born in Korea but I think when talking about family and love then wrong is wrong and right is right. The twin's parents, their daughter Yu Ra are bad, doing wrong things in this drama! Also, Yu Jung is not a little girl, she should stand up for her rights, she should never let others even her low educared parents to abuse nor control her (unless she was born without knowledge nor brain!). None of the above make any sense to me at all. Writer, please think twice before creating a story, tyvm! How could YSJa favors one daughter and mistreat the other one? To this mom, everything is ok with Yu Ra NOT for Yu Jung. Sisa Dec 02 2020 7:27 am I'm starting to dislike this drama. How can a mere TV anchor manipulate everyone in the story? Yura's in laws are rich and influential, and I don't think all of them are dumb not to doubt that she just came out of nowhere without them checking her background. I don't think situations like these happen in real life. Also, the reason Taepong went to DL is to find out who framed his mother. However, the story now revolves on Yura manipulating everyone not to know who she really is. Disappointing.

Yura never ever caught? the fact that the family of her husband is very influencial and yet she can completely lie and made them fool, all at the hands of Yura? so how about other character there, all stupid except Yura? its not unbelievable anymore, the male lead should be the one expose Yura's evil doing and yet at latest episode he will trap by that woman evilness, pls make the story exciting as like previous one , its seems the main lead here is not Han yoo jung but the actress in Yura's character. anyway ill see if still Yura makes all characters dumb in the next episode, hope not.

saranghae Dec 01 2020 8:54 am epi 47 liked this epi very much so warm and tender cz of uhm hyung kyung the lead fem and got very impressed with her acting the only other time that saw her was in house of bluebird where she played a very bad role as a swindler so i couldnt see her extraordinary capabilities but in this drama she is showing her full strength and talent the chemistry with taepyung is top notch excellent again praises to the writer and director

saranghae Nov 26 2020 1:08 am epi 43 ok a bit of dragging but thats ok cz the first 20 epi were really crazy lots of things happened and it was very entertaing i knew the writer would not be able to maintain that huge pace so here its slowing down a bit i cant stand seo jun mom she committed a huge crime but is acting like nothing happened tho its early but cant wait when prosecutor taepyong put her in jail for good and i like the love triangle brewing between ju jun taepyong and seo jun ok im shiping ju jun and taepyong in the end with the lil kid but that kid is yuras so maybe she want him later????? lets see lots of praises to the writer

What about Tae Poong's plans for revenge ? Has he forgotten the reason he become a lawyer in this firm? He is not even looking for clues that can lead him to avenge his mother's death ? I hope this drama takes a drastic change and not just focus on Tae Poong and Yu Jung's relationship, a bit too dragging. I am looking forward to more changes in the drama otherwise I have to forego watching it till the end.

Yu Gang Hyuk was only 7 years old when his father was murdered in a car "accident" and separated from his identical twin, Yu Shin Hyuk. He forgot his name and family and given the name Suh Ha Eun by his adopted father Suh Jae Soo. He falls in love with his adopted sister, Eun Ha and tried to be very honorable about it. He was led to become a cop because of his father's badge. While investigating an alleged case of suicide, he eventually learns of his twin brother. Against the warnings of his peers, Ha Eun becomes more and more involved in this suspicious case. As a part of a larger scheme, Ha Eun is targeted for a hit by unknown individuals. And when Ha Eun and Shin Hyuk finally meet for the first time in twenty years, the murderers kill Shin Hyuk accidentally mistaken him for Ha Eun. As a result, Ha Eun vows to get revenge by giving his enemies psychological torture and takes on his brother's persona as an undercover cop and that is where the drama begins.

I find Uhm Hyun Kyung so pretty and act so well in this, and she has her own will (so far) so I find her character to be well developed. As for Taepoong/Minhyuk, he's great, and I hope for him to get his revenge and drown Yura again, and do not save her this time let her gone from this world lol. Minwoo is so adorable, at least the kid gets to be a real boy in this drama. Seojun.. hmm.. well he just need to be away from his toxic family. Kkeut.

saranghae Oct 26 2020 12:56 pm epi 21 omg omg omg this is the craziest drama ive seen so far from the a hundreds i havent seen anything like this before the intrigue and suspense is top notch excellent this writer has an incredible talent to make things up this is only the 21 epi but i ve seen so many close calls and disclosures of mysteries like it only happen in the few epis prior to the ending of a drama and i also said that if the writer wasnt gonna use a dna test to prove that the retarded is not the father of the baby then he shouldve come up with a very good excuse why not?? and he did he made yura brest feed the baby just min prior to the test and walla this made the test going positive otherwise the test wouldve failed whoahahahahahahaha i still can not stop laughing what the hell was that? did i missed something or what? can you do that in real life? was that a big joke or what? whioahahahhahahahaha still can not stop laughing hahaha am enjoying this drama so much and lots of praises to the writer

Hope Tae Pong will fine happiness and Yu Ra and her mother and the killers of Tae Pong mother be put to jail. Nice directing. I hope it is not too long.

saranghae Oct 06 2020 9:26 am epi 6 wow this is going at full speed but theres one thing that is bothering me a lot why a paternity dna test is not even mentioned here when there are some incredulous people that think a retarded can not fathered a kid ive seen thousands of dna tests in almost every drama that ive watched why not here not only that i remembered seeing a dna test on an unborn baby in other dramas with a simple blood test or saliva swabs but i dont know if this is achievable in the real world anyways this writer has to come up with a very good excuse why a dna test is not being used here otherwise the plot will lose credibility at least for me but im still enjoying this very much that evil wench is so selfish so greedy omg omg omg

Do these scenes make appropriate senses to the Viewers at all? Good points about this drama are Kang Eun-Tak & Yang Mi-Kyung, they are superior actings! Very sad, YM-Kyung's acting end at the end of Ep 18!

Like other Koreans Dramas, this one would have a lot of conflicts and the good ones you like and the wicked people you hate + "you wanted something more horrible than what ugly people did to others would return back to them ASAP!" LK-Hye's role as LT-Poong's mom. She is wealthy, educated, business woman also. How could LK-Hye let others fooling her too many times? HY-Ra (ugly twin) could use mother in law's money to get away with all her wrongdoings SO what's the point to let a rich woman with knowledge as LK-Hye could not find the way like having a professional lawyer to protect herself & LT-Poong? Why relying on a driver (HY-Ra's dad)? If she could handle other things well for many years, including loving and caring for her son, then she would not let this phony HY-Ra keeping to fool her and causing more sufferings for her beloved son, LT-Poong! These characters are not living in the "Joseon Period Time", though they are only stories in a drama but they need to make sense and not too unrealistic. Most writers, for Korean Dramas, must be real monsters in order to create all the best things, even the worst wrongdoings would be forgiven, having long life for their wicked, greedy unhuman characters! No justice for the good ones except full of greedy for money characters and jungle laws?

It’s torturous because after 8 episodes I am seriously hooked as the evil sister is worth watching just to see her get her just desserts for all the lies and hurt she has inflicted. My Uhm Hyun Kyung is always shining as Yu Jung and Kang Eun Tak acting as a 7 year old is so convincing. This drama is just riveting. ?

Her mother isn't going to accept her daughter loving someone with a mental illness. I suspect her dad knows something is up with his daughter's feelings for Tae Poong. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Also, Yu Ra's character is going to be interesting. This actress was phenomenal in Home For Summer. I can't wait to see what havoc she causes in this drama!

One is as sweet as pie and the other horrible as hell. However I just want to say I am fixated on this drama and love it to bits and pieces and yep definitely on my "I can't wait list'.

I usually watch dramas with actors or actresses I'm familiar with and want to see in a new drama, but the list would be very short if I don't watch more dramas and get to know more faces. To be quiet honest, I wasn't a fan of Uhm Hyun-Kyung when I saw her with Lee Yoo-Ri in Hide and Seek, but I wanted to see her in a new light. I also love that the male lead is Kang Eun-Tak which I love from Apgujeong Midnight Sun, and Lee Chae-Young is I'm guessing the second female lead, and I loved her acting from Two Mothers. Both those dramas are a bit older, so I hope their acting has been holding up. :)
