Snack bar mama Mieko (Sakura Ando) drinks alcohol with her regular male customers. One day, when she is about to close the snack bar, her old friend Shigeko (Asami Usuda) appears with her 5-year-old son Taiji (Harutomo Koyama). Shigeki leaves Taiji with Mieko and disappears. She leaves a letter behind. While looking at Taiji, Mieko remembers her own past when she gave birth. Mieko and Taiji begin to live together.
