Eps. 1
Nah-young is passionately working on her presentation. After working until late, her friend and co?worker Suhk-soon and another co-worker Eun-sun go to a sauna and enjoy a girls’ night out chatting. Suhk-soon and Nah-young, who are in their 30’s, enjoy the hot sauna while Eun-sun, who is still young and active in her 20’s, is practicing yoga. Jae-won is drinking with his superior at the office and becomes really drunk and starts talking angrily about how he’s not as good as the owner of the company he works for at Min-won. After drinking he staggers to his mother’s little restaurant but she looks at her incompetent son and is very cold-hearted to him, refusing to even give him some ramyun to eat. While being cold-hearted to her first son, she gives her second son Jae-june some delicious looking seafood stew after his long, hard day at the hospital. At the same time and place both Jae-won and Nah-young are having a consulting session at a matchmaking agency. They sign contracts and other necessary papers because of their age and low-level jobs. They walk out of the place looking very gloomy. They fall running into each other trying to walk out the door at the same time and Jae-won just walks away not even saying sorry. Just then Nah-young calls and stops him. They argue about whose fault it was but end up with nothing...
Eps. 2
With the help of the matchmaking agency Nah-young and Jae-won go out to a marriage meeting but are surprised to see each other. Nah-young screams when she sees blood flowing out through a hole in Jae-won’s suit, he gets scared also and screams “119.” They go together to the hospital to get it treated and on the way out he keeps fussing about how much it hurts. During this whole extravaganza he notices that it’s way past the time he was supposed to return the company car he brought out, but doesn’t reject Nah-young’s offer to go get something to eat. Despite seeing her eat so deliciously and cutting kimchi with her fingers, Jae-won doesn’t feel any attraction towards her, and just drinks until he gets really drunk. When Nah-young goes to Min-won’s company in order to finish some project plans, she notices his stunning looks and right away starts wanting to marry him. On the other hand Suhk-soon, who thinks that marriage is just more trouble, does not understand why Nah-young wants to get married so badly to a guy like Min-won. Nah-young, who has met guys in marriage meetings who act like they’re the best, and Jae-won, who has met girls who were impudent, meet again at a little outdoor tented bar. After drinking together and having fun talking about this and that they come to think that they were meant for each other and start jumping and laughing with joy.
Eps. 3
Nah-young goes to the emergency room with an intestinal adhesion and punches Jae-june because he tried pulling down her pants to examine her. He sits in the emergency room massaging his nose with some ice. Nah-young’s pain starts to go away and she realizes what she did and keeps thinking of Jae-june, smiling even though she hit him. She shakes her head for thinking about this young intern. Meanwhile Jae-won calls her to ask if she would like to have a drink, but hears that she’s in the hospital and runs straight there to see her. Jae-won starts joking and asks if she’s in the hospital because of old age, and she starts to forget that she’s sick talking to him. After talking for many hours together about love and the sadness of being old and singles, Jae-won falls asleep on the couch. Jae-won goes to Nah-young’s father’s office to make a sale and shows exemplary service. Nah-young’s dad is impressed by Jae-won’s friendly service and thinks very highly of him. Not knowing that they are about to become in?laws they go out to eat and have a drink. Jae-won ends up taking him home where he meet Nah-young’s mom and leaves a good impression on her too.
Eps. 4
Every time Jae-won thinks of Nah-young his heart starts beating and he has difficulty breathing. Without his usual confidence he grabs the phone very timidly and calls Nah-young but the only thing that comes out of his mouth is if she’d like to have a drink. Nah-young, not having any interest in him says no and hangs up, Jae-won feels dumb that he only can call her and ask her if she’d like to have a drink. On the other hand Nah-young’s mom boils with anger to see her turning down a date. Not knowing that the guy calling Nah-young is Jae-won she tell her daughter that its ok if she drinks, just go out. Eventually, Nah-young goes out to meet Jae-won. Jae-won takes her to the beautiful Chungae Chun, he talks and talks until Nah-young tells him to be quiet because he’s breaking the romantic mood. Jae-won is surprised when he hears that Nah-young works for the advertising company that advertises the company he works at. Me-kyung is surprised when Jae-won tells her that he will do all the outside duties in order to improve the company. Meanwhile, Nah-young’s mom gets into an accident coming back from a temple and calls Jae-won, the only guy she can think of...
Eps. 5
Nah-young tells Suhk-soon that she has fallen in love with Jae-won. She goes on bragging about Jae-won, saying such things like he seemed different from the beginning and that he has a sense of justice. Meanwhile, Suhk-soon is appalled at Nah-young’s behavior not knowing that the person Nah-young has fallen in love with is in fact her childish brother. Nah-young and Jae-won awkwardly sit next to each other in the park. Although the two once used to quarrel, calling each other names, they quickly turn into a loving couple. Jae-won even gently kisses Nah-young when her face nears him …The two spend fun times together, talking about getting married. Suhk-soon, who was so curious about who Nah-young’s secret ‘admirer’ is, is shocked seeing Nah-young and Jae-won together from a distance…She thinks to herself for a while and devises a plan in which she can hook the two together…
Eps. 6
Jae-won gets jealous when Jae-june and Nah-young’s lunch hour takes longer than expected. The two slowly enter the elementary stage of dating: fights. Jae-won is angry at Nah-young and asks her if she always eats and drinks with strange men. The two brothers’ feelings toward Nah-young grow, though not even in their wildest dreams do they think for the first time that they have the same person in mind. Jae-won’s mother, hearing that Jae-won dating the pretty, capable Nah-young, offers him meat dishes and treats him like the oldest son in years. Knowing that Nah-young and Jae-won fought, Suhk-soon tries to comfort Nah-young over the phone so the two can make up. Finally, Nah-young and Jae-won return to their original affectionate mode totally forgetting about their fight. Nah-young’s parents want to invite Jae-won over for dinner. Though Nah-young is happy, Jae-won worries about exaggerating his abilities and family background.

Nah-young’s family finds out that their princess Nah-young is dating Jae-won, a car salesman. Jae-won sits like a sinner, Nah-young is dumbfounded, Nah-young’s father is stifled and Nah-young’s mother grins not knowing what to say. Jae-won, whose lie of being engaged in foreign trade is completely exposed, gets kicked out of Nah-young’s house without getting a chance to make excuses. He walks away in the rain ignoring Nah-young’s sad shouting of his name. A barrier starts to build up between Nah-young and Jae-won, who have already promised to get married. With the expected conflict between the two households, the trust between the two has already broken. Suhk-soon sees Jae-won soaked in rain and she senses that something serious has happened between Nah-young and Jae-won. Nah-young and Jae-won meet up late at night. Although Nah-young wishes Jae-won to make an excuse he just blames everything on his incompetence and says that he isn’t so sure about their marriage anymore since Nah-young seems so much more special. Nah-young suddenly breaks into tears while eating lunch with her co-workers when she sees the Kimchi stew she used to eat with Jae-won. Suhk-soon, not being able to keep the secret anymore finally reveals that Jae-won is her brother…
Eps. 8
Min-won takes Nah-young, Jae-won and Mi-kyeong to a fancy sushi restaurant for a special dinner. He gives special attention to Nah-young, causing Jae-won to get angry and drink every shot Min-won offers him. After the drinking, he complains to Nah-young that she’s trying to seduce the president and then gets beaten up by her…Although Nah-young and Jae-won make up and see that they can’t do without each other, it is hard for them to overcome the opposition of Nah-young’s parents. Not being able to win over her mother, Nah-young ends up going out to an arranged meeting where she finds the same bragging man she met at last time’s meeting. Jae-won shyly brings in the charming Nah-young into his mother’s restaurant at a very busy hour. Jae-won’s family, being all tense, stare at Nah-young as if she were an ape at the zoo. Jae-won’s mother is proud of seeing the angel-like Nah-young right next to her son and even Jae-won’s grandmother keeps on asking when they’ll get married. Nah-young likes the warm atmosphere in Jae-won’s family. Meanwhile, Jae-june can’t overcome the rejection he got from Nah-young after he confessed his love to her…
Eps. 9
After days of preparation, the car company’s big PR event is here. Nah-young and Suhk-soon are extremely excited when the lights come on and the set reveals itself. Meanwhile, Suhk-soon has invited Jae-june to the PR event to relieve his stress and introduce Nah-young to him since he seemed depressed after getting dumped. Jae-june arrives on time and is surprised to see Jae-won and Nah-young…Nah-young, Jae-won, Min-won and Suhk-soon go to a karaoke bar after the event and have a fun time. Nah-young gladly agrees to sing a duet with Min-won and Jae-won seeing this complains to Suhk-soon. Suhk-soon backs up Jae-won and tries to act as Nah-young’s sister-in-law. Nah-young is upset by Jae-won and Suhk-soon’s behavior of trying to tame her. The real rivalry between Nah-young, who tries to act as a senior, and Suhk-soon, who wants to act like a sister-in-law, starts.
Suhk-soon is irritated watching Nah-young take all the love in her house.
In the meantime, Eun-sun says that she’s sick and carefully asks Suhk-soon where Jae-june’s hospital is located…
Eps. 10
Nah-young and Jae-won were enjoying their date in Insa-dong when they come across Nah-young’s mother on the big road. Nah-young’s mother, dumbfounded, is angry at Jae-won and Nah-young begs her mother to just forgive Jae-won since anyone can tell a little white lie. There is a growing tension between Nah-young’s mother, who is stupefied, and Nah-young, who doesn’t seem to mind her mother and wishes to marry Jae-won.
Jae-won decides to win the heart of Nah-young’s family in his own earnest way. He greets Nah-young’s father after washing both of their family’s cars early in the morning. Jae-won’s mother, who was about to wash Jae-won’s clothes, finds a receipt for some expensive clothing. She feels both jealous and disappointed at the same time.
Jae-june meets Jae-won and is curious about who his new sister-in-law will be. Jae-won says that there is some shabby doctor that keeps making moves on Nah-young these days and supposedly works at Jae-june’s hospital…
Eps. 11
Nah-young finds out that Jae-june, the doctor who once confessed that he likes her, is actually Jae-won’s brother, and feels uneasy about meeting Jae-won. Jae-june is also worried about a person who he once liked becoming his sister-in-law. Meanwhile, Nah-young’s father makes Jae-won get changed into a judo uniform at the gym so he can have a match with him. Nah-young’s father throws Jae-won to the ground and chokes him, telling him to make Nah-young happy and thereby giving his consent to their relationship. Jae-won is in tears. Now that Nah-young’s father has given his consent, Jae-won officially proposes to Nah-young with a ring. Next morning, when Nah-young was on her way to work she finds Jae-won washing her father’s car and feels mad at her father…
Jae-won has lunch with Nah-young at a fancy restaurant but is puzzled when he hears that his card has gone over the limit. He goes to the bank and finds out that he has been swindled by his friend whose loan he had guaranteed.
Eps. 12
Jae-won, robbed of his installment savings by his friend, takes out all his bankbooks to see how much he has. Being faced with a wedding, he regrets that he didn’t plan better beforehand. In the meantime, Nah-young checks her bankbooks and is proud of all the savings and funds she has saved up. She expects Jae-won’s savings to be similar to hers…Jae-won’s mother meets Nah-young’s parents while shopping at the mall. She feels pity for herself for having to suffer after Nah-young’s mother took Nah-young’s father from her many years ago. Jae-won’s mother breaks into tears when she sees her husband return home dead drunk. Jae-won comes to see Nah-young’s parents but Nah-young’s mother acts coldly toward him. She changes her mind slowly when she sees how sincere his words and behaviors are and how much he cherishes and loves Nah-young.
Eps. 13
Jae-won’s mother feels her heart pounding when Nah-young’s father tells her that he’ll return to the restaurant with his people from work. Remembering that Nah-young’s father used to like grilled roots she goes food shopping, leaving behind all the work at the restaurant. Meanwhile, Nah-young’s mother is worried about Jae-won’s mother and her husband meeting each other again and tells her husband not to go to the restaurant anymore…Eun-sun’s mother is riding in an ambulance. She is acting as if she’s about to die, and Eun-sun is with her full of tears, as it seems quite believable. Although Eun-son wished Jae-june could be there, she can’t see him anywhere and gets scolded by her mother, who had been acting. In the meantime, Jae-won is stressed about his lack of marriage funds and asks Mi-kyeong for help but she isn’t able to do much for him. Suhk-soon, who knows all-too well about Jae-won’s current financial status, is worried when she hears Nah-young say that she’ll split the cost of buying an apartment with Jae-won…
Eps. 14
Jae-won’s mother is worried because she doesn’t have proper clothes to wear at the gathering with Nah-young’s parents. Jae-won buys the same bag he bought for Nah-young’s mother to give it to his mother, which she likes and plans to take to the gathering. The two parents get together in their best attire. The two mothers turn pale when seeing what Jae-won has bought them…Eun-sun’s heart starts pounding when she thinks of Jae-june. Jae-june smiles in front of Eun-sun who comes to visit him at the hospital with some food she has made for him. Nah-young’s mother tells her daughter that she should call off the wedding. Nah-young is hurt by her mother, who only tells her that marriage simply isn’t possible, without giving further explanation.
Eps. 15
Nah-young’s mother does all she can to prevent the marriage of Jae-won and Nah-young. Though she even threatens and begs Jae-won’s mother, Jae-won’s mother remains much bolder than before. Jae-won’s mother puts her whole family in action to make Nah-young her daughter-in-law still bearing a grudge against Nah-young’s mother. Suhk-soon realizes that her mother has started a battle to save her own self-esteem…Nah-young isn’t so sure about the marriage anymore, as her mother’s opposition gets stronger. She asks Jae-won straightforwardly how much he has saved in his account when he keeps on avoiding her question, and Jae-won finally confesses that he vouched for his friend. Nah-young who feels it’s a shame that Jae-won has not even gotten his money back after being a guarantor for his friend, claims that she’ll break up with him if he doesn’t go get his money. Jae-won is shocked at Nah-young’s attitude, feeling that she now regrets her decision to marry him.
Eps. 16
Jae-won says good-bye to Nah-young thinking that she won’t be able to live with her growing disappointment in him. Nah-young sheds tears when she hears Jae-won say that a long time ago he knew that she was so much better off than him, and that she should live better from now on. Jae-won takes his anger out on his clients and runs out the back door of his company, kicking a pile of boxes only to be crushed by them. Jae-won’s family prepares a large meal to cheer up Nah-young. Jae-won’s mother even prepares an allowance for Nah-young. As time passes, the family members turn gloomy and they hear from Suhk-soon that it seems like it’s completely over between Nah-young and Jae-won…
Eps. 17
After leaving her own home to be with Jae-won, Nah-young finds that she is greatly welcomed by his family. The next morning, Nah-young is devastated by the fact that the bathroom has no shower booth and is unheated. Being hungry, she starts making breakfast alone in the kitchen…She feels awkward watching Jae-won, in his underwear and the family fighting over the one single bathroom in the house. Meanwhile, Nah-young’s mother arranges a meeting with Jae-won’s mother to set a marriage date. Jae-won is worried when Nah-young’s mother claims that she’ll not help them out financially with the marriage.

Jae-won, while shopping with Nah-young for their new household, grows angry at Nah-young, who only talks of money and makes all the decisions on her own. The two realize how marriage is very different than dating and that concessions are now tougher to make. Nah-young reproaches Jae-won when he returns home after drinking with Mi-kyeong that he still hasn’t come to his senses, and at the end she raises her voice even more. Jae-won’s mother feels bad watching Jae-won not being able to say a single word in front of Nah-young, who always speaks very logically. Nah-young’s mother still won’t open up to her daughter, who is about to get married in less than a week. Meanwhile, Suhk-soon, together with her mother, try to get the upper hand on Nah-young for once…
Eps. 19
Nah-young and Jae-won, who have decided to have a traditional Korean wedding ceremony, meet their guests in a traditional royal palace on a snowy day. Compared to Jae-won’s guests who look like they have just came from some countryside village, Nah-young’s guests look like well educated and dressed city people. With the wind blowing the food set on the tables look as if they are about to be blown away and the whole outdoor wedding hall looks like a disaster. But Nah-young and Jae-won even through this racket carry out their wedding ceremony happily and leave to a nearby beach resort for their honeymoon.
Jae-won buys some oh-daeng and heads into to hotel room telling Nah-young that he isn’t going to go outside. Unlike Nah-young, who would like to go outside and go sightseeing, Jae-won just wants to stay in the hotel room. Nah-young and Jae-won come back from their honeymoon and Nah-young’s mom, instead of having them spend the night at their house, drives them out and makes them go straight to Jae-won’s place.
Eps. 20
Nah-young attempts to change the family’s habit of skipping breakfast, causing everyone to yawn and feel tired throughout the day. Jae-won’s grandmother likes the hard-working Nah-young, who packs a lunch for Jae-won everyday, but his mother and sister do not like the way she is trying to run the family. Suhk-soon throws up at work from having an upset stomach from eating breakfast. Nah-young feels pity for Suhk-soon but scolds her saying that it was her own fault for eating breakfast with a sour face. The quarrel between the two develops into a major war of nerves. In the meantime, Nah-young’s father is faced with financial trouble. Nah-young’s mother, unaware of this, continues her shopaholic ways and even asks her husband if they can travel abroad. Nah-young’s father feels sad about his childish wife and compares her frivolous behavior to the thriftiness of Jae-won’s mother…
Eps. 21
It gets harder for Nah-young to manage both work at the office and work at home. Suhk-soon enjoys seeing Nah-young doze off at work. Suhk-soon, who never helps Nah-young with housework, urges Nah-young to quickly finish up the proposal at work…Jae-won’s father talks big after hearing from some businessmen that he’ll be able to earn big money with a small investment. His friend is worried about Jae-won’s father getting involved in dangerous multi-level marketing. Nah-young’s mother goes for a sudden visit to Jae-won’s house with winter clothes she has bought for her in-laws, including Jae-won’s grandmother. Though Jae-won’s mother insists the gifts are too gracious, Nah-young’s mother demonstrates benevolence. Nah-young’s mother continues by complaining that the house is too small and that there is only one bathroom. Meanwhile, Jae-won says that he’ll move in with the in-laws.
Eps. 22
When Jae-won proposes to live with his in-laws his family opposes the idea, especially his mother, who feels utterly betrayed by her son. Nah-young receives all the blame and the misunderstanding between the families worsens. Eun-sun’s mother secretly investigates Jae-june’s family and isn’t satisfied with Jae-june as her future son-in-law. Eun-sun’s mother visits her in-law’s restaurant with the excuse of selling cosmetics and is greatly disappointed at seeing Jae-won’s father return home drunk. Eun-sun’s mother turns cold when she finds her daughter having a hard time parting from Jae-june after a date…Nah-young says that she can’t attend the dinner engagement at work because of a family outing and Suhk-soon gets furious hearing this. Though Nah-young and Suhk-soon used to be best friends, they end up having an emotional fight because of the situation at home and in the office.

Jae-won thinks it’s a pity that Nah-young’s is suffering from so much housework and asks her if she wants to move in with her parents. Although Nah-young would be more than happy to do so, she can’t readily decide due to her in-laws. In the meantime, Suhk-soon feels distressed about Nah-young and returns home drunk, revealing her true feelings to her grandmother, who was scolding her. Jae-won interferes when he sees Nah-young embarrassed, which in turn worsens the conflict between the family members. Nah-young still feels awkward around Suhk-soon. She even gives up a trip with her parents to finally face Suhk-soon at the company dinner. Jae-won’s family is belittled by the size of Nah-young’s house and Nah-young’s mother pampers Jae-won’s mother with gifts. But Jae-won’s mother realizes Nah-young’s mother’s intentions and returns the present in cash…
Eps. 24
Jae-won’s mother feels upset upon hearing from Nah-young’s mother that Jae-won wishes to move in with his in-laws. Bearing a grudge against Nah-young, Jae-won’s mother returns and makes Nah-young do all kinds of chores around both the house and the restaurant. Nah-young, unaware of what’s going on, is fully occupied with cleaning and doing laundry. Jae-won is upset at having to worry about both his mother and Nah-young. Suhk-soon feels awkward when she meets Jae-ho, her junior from college, at an end-of-the-year party. The two leave the gathering and have a nice time on their own taking a walk outside. Although Jae-june proposes to Eun-sun, she asks for more time to consider. Jae-june is lost in thought while staring at the marriage ring. Eun-sun is also in agony. Nah-young arrives at her parents’ home late and falls asleep immediately due to all the strenuous work. Nah-young’s mother sees this and blames Jae-won. Jae-won’s mother who believes that Nah-young’s family is trying to steal her son and makes Nah-young do even more housework. Nah-young believes her mother-in-law hates her, and asks Jae-won to move into her parents’ house…
Eps. 25
Jae-won’s mother, still unsatisfied with Nah-young, wakes her up to prepare breakfast at dawn on New Year’s Day. Without any time to rest from the previous day, Nah-young makes a big breakfast. Jae-won feels bad as he watches her. His mother then even makes Nah-young help out at the restaurant. Jae-won can’t just stand and watch anymore and expresses his discontent to his mother. At that very moment, Nah-young’s parents enter the restaurant. Nah-young’s mother sees her worn out daughter and gets angry, saying that she’ll take Nah-young home with her. Meanwhile, Suhk-soon who has had a great time watching a movie with Jae-ho is disappointed to hear that he has a girlfriend. Nah-young feels much better after going home to her parents to rest for a couple of days. Jae-won also has a relaxing time with his in-laws and enjoys his free time with Nah-young.
