Excited to wait for your work ❤❤❤? In Awe Mar 04 2023 7:03 pm Laura + 1, everything she said is exactly how I feel about this person's work. I'm now watching Beyond Evil a second time. I am amazed at the brilliance, sincerity and passion with which this masterpiece is written and performed. Amazed at the author, at the director who clearly understood this author, at the actors who show an equal depth in appreciation. They all put their heart and soul in this. This is why it is of paramount importance to agree to sign with Netflix and similar platforms only if you can do everything independently. There's no way one can find a show or movie of this caliber, with this much character and beauty if the creators aren't independent. I am a Turk who has grown incredibly sick of western perspectives. Asia has soul, but knows not how valuable that soul is. True, we all have our own shortcomings but let us be the ones to choose what to eliminate from our individual cultures. Individuality as understood by the West makes people sick and if someone asked me why, I'd tell them to watch this show. You cannot find something like this in the West. Because they just don't have it in their culture and no one will warn you of your loss when you start losing the best part of your culture but you or those who share said culture. It's not the plot of the show that has to do with what I deem an almost endangered culture but what it chooses to talk about, how it goes about doing that. I feel like a long dehydrated plant that just found a limited source of pure, fresh water. I have been longing for such shows. Wasn't surprised to see it's once again Eastern part of the continent that delivers. From horror to crime to drama, the human element is always strong, things are not dumbed down and caricaturized. At least that's not the norm, and that is why people from these geographies do not sound like the exact copies of one another. Among all these bot like people each of whom just assume they have personality, and their own thoughts but instead cater to fads that they mistake as their own thoughts, people who participate in such works have become rarities. And my observation is that such people are concentrated in geographies with populations that haven't totally bought into the perception that anything European or derivative of some colonialist power is superior. Stagnation, mass fabricated copies of the same old gobs...., consumerism, power worship, superficial understanding abd appreciation of differences (in clothes, properties, etc), different flavor, yet the same dough, different colors yet the same mold, etc etc It's getting lonelier and lonelier since the widespread use and disguised monopolization of the internet and all media, really and shows like this... it's like they are the last pieces of sticks we are holding onto in this current with huge momentum that's almost managed to drown the whole world in itself. I am grateful for this show. Thank you, thank you so much. Please don't let the current swallow you. Please. Laura Oct 25 2022 10:56 am I know I’m going to sound insane; I’ll risk it. You are a genius. One of the most brilliant writers I’ve been blessed to find. I have watched your Beyond Evil, 45 times. All 16 episodes, 45 times. The writing is brilliant. The acting is brilliant. It fills me with the intense need for honor. I forget often they Ju-Won and Dong-Sik are not real people. I just wanted you to know that this American, puts You above all American writers. I want to learn the Korean language now. But more than anything, I wish I had more access to your brilliance here in the US. Ps I just found the Crowned Clown ?? Thank You. Looking forward to watching everything you’ve written. Laura Leichling - USA hyeji Dec 25 2021 9:24 am Beyond Evil is amazing and made my 2021!!! Talitha Oct 26 2020 11:11 pm Monster 2021 fighting!!!! Alwiyah Oct 20 2020 12:04 am About drama Youth, i hope this writer consider to change the name of characters in Youth. Don't use BTS real name since the using of their name will cause problems in the future especially it will benefit the haters to send more hates on them by using this drama as disguise. Please consider to change it. Mona Mar 22 2019 4:55 am i love "the light in your eyes" thank you Categories: Screen writersSouth Korean screen writers Page Discussion View View source History
