Kim Soo-Hyun (Jang Ki-Yong) is an elite assassin. He kills his targets and disappears. His identity like race, age or name is unknown to others. Individuals, gangs and organizations from all over the world hire Kim Soo-Hyun. Deep within his mind, he wants to have affection from people. Now, Kim Soo-Hyun has to kill to find his family.

Do Hyun-Jin (Nana) graduated at the top of her class from a police university. She is an excellent detective who is also arrogant. She is usually dressed fashionably. Do Hyun-Jin comes across as cold-hearted, but she sympathizes with those in painful situations. Now, Do Hyun-Jin chases after Kim Soo-Hyun to reveal a mystery related to her lover's death.

Park Min Sep 09 2023 12:34 pm Tacky introduction and weak first episode that doesn't encourage the viewer to continue. While the rest is just your typical washed up OCN thriller. Nothing attractive or interesting about it. They could've taken the story in an interesting direction but that would be too much to ask for. I appreciate OCN cutting down the runtime but even then, it's still unnecessarily long and filled with irrelevant nonsense. I'm afraid Jang Ki Yong played the same character too many times that he fell into the vicious cycle of typecasting.

Ner Jul 10 2021 5:33 am Everything about this drama is Amazing. The plot, cast, script, chemistry, emotion, OSTs, and even the ending too. So glad that I decided to watch it in 2021, better late than never right?!

If you guys like City Hunter, Healer, the K2, this drama has a similar genre with many action & killing scenes by the male lead but it def has the most logical ending compared to the others mentioned.

And the lead's visuals are insane y'all. Thanks for this drama I gotta appreciate Nana's and KiYong's acting skills, charisma with their beautiful-good looking face. Oh my eyes ^,^ Lowkey hoping that they will be paired up again for a romance drama with happy ending... SooHyunJin shipper, heheee....

Anyway, no need to hesitate to watch this drama guys. The 12eps are worth it, just enough and you wont be disappoint, cause there is at least something to learn, appreciate and treasure in the end. I really hope others enjoy this drama as much as I do. Cheers!

Me Jun 28 2021 1:59 pm The first view episodes and the last few episodes were the best, the middle was just kind of repetitive. I liked the characters a lot. I wished the main leads had more chemistry (not romantic chemistry just connection). I was confused up until like episode 10 about what was going on honestly but then it all made sense and made it more enjoyable to watch. Other than that it was the perfect length and I teared up at the end.

K Jun 19 2021 10:53 pm I’ll tell you..that cry of Nana at the ending of this drama was the most painful cry I have ever watched in K-drama. Love the story, no boring scenes. Some asking for kore episodes but I think 11 episodes are perfect for this kind of drama. First time watching Nana and she’s really pretty and good in acting. Her face reminds me of Park Min Young and Han Chae Young combined!

Besides, the drama also displays various good values such as affection for children, friend loyalty and team spirit. Who will know right that a 'friend' who lost contact was in front of his/her eyes. I love the characters of Kim Soo-Hyun and Do Hyun-Jin as well as the others. All the best Jang Ki-Yong and I wish the best for next drama to come. Good luck!

Mike Jun 03 2021 7:58 am Why were only 12 episodes made? Anyone know why? They usually make 16-20 episodes in other series. For me, this is a great series and I like Jang Ki Yong and would like to see him in more lead roles.

I love how the plot went on but the ending is just extremely sad.

Just finished watching Nana’s latest series as well.. And it also broke my heart in the end :(

Anyway, this one is definitely a must watch and all the actors specially the leads did a great job in this series!

Naria Feb 15 2021 2:59 pm There were a few different plot points/directions they could've went with this drama. 1) I was thinking that the prosecutor Yoon Jung-Woo was either secretly on Do Jae Hwan's side OR what would've been more juicy, was if he was actually revealed to have been one of the numbered orphans (perhaps that one who said "Run" to Soo Hyun). 2) There was a theory about the source of Soo Hyun's blue eyes ehich is that he is actually has wolf/husky DNA which would contributed to why he "lacked" human traits and had a stronger connection to animals. But ofc we find out the reeal reason and it was not as interesting aha 3) Idk if it was a mistranslation on the site I was streaming from, but many ppl including myself believed in an earlier ep that Seul Gi was actually Soo Hyun's daughter. One of the doctors mentions this but like I said, it was probably subbed incorrectly. But it would've been a huge plot twist yet make sense because the doctors could've experimented and used his DNA

Overall I liked this drama. Hyun Jin's crying at the end was extremely moving and I couldn't help but tear up. Phillip's last words "I'm still your friend, right"? Was heartbreaking. Poor Seul Gi has so much trauma, she's so brave.

Hope he just got captured or just injured or able to get away n live hapily ever after with seul gi. Yup seul gi coz meeting that lady detective is such a bad luck for him. Kinda cursing that lady for bring along the whole swat team . Come on no way she will be able to jail her dad with political n financial support from rich & influential people left n right. The mad scientist is right all along.wish the killer at least can live a better life have kids of his own with seul gi away from others.

With every episode I kept reminding myself that this won’t have a happy ending, but I still wasn’t prepared for that... the scenes were so intense and the chemistry between the actors was incredible. From the main leads to the high school girl, to the troublesome friend to all the characters. I have nothing but praise for this drama. It was engaging, exciting and so incredibly sad. It definitely built up anticipation and delivered when necessary. It was an awesome drama.

The acting of leads and actress who played as highschool girl was outstanding .Soo hyun,Hyun Jin,Seul gi,Pavel their bond is amazing how strangers become someone who really care about . Its not romantic love It can be friendship more like a family .Their eyes talk a lot. First thing that lead to me to watch this was lead actors acting . His character is complex but he protrayed it so well. I'll give 9.7/10 for this drama . I never have liked a killer character ever . If this was joseon period,he would be a hero

Linkin Sep 03 2020 2:56 am This definitely felt like the adult version of City Hunter and Healer. Hats off to Soo Hyun for requiring a whole SWAT team to take him down. Although one well aimed bullet could have done the job just fine. He even showed them how to do it at the end there. Hyun Jin's crying scene was so sad, it reminded me of Goblin. However, if she was going to cry so much for a dead person, maybe she should not have called in SWAT. Just saying.

It was a good drama, a great performance by Jang Ki Yong, Nana and Jung Hae-Kyun. I could feel the longing, the despair, the words unsaid, the greed, the pride and the futility of it all.

heoll May 14 2020 6:18 am like other viewers' comments of this drama, Jang Ki-yong and Nana (Im Jin-A) made a great chemistry even though only through 'gaze and conversation' and without intense touch. A good and reasonable ending for a storyline for a hitman but it is very sad because of the chemistry they have built. I really hope they will meet again in an action-romance genre drama as the main character. If OCN made an annual Award event they might be the winner for the best couple nomination, but because of that there is no me as the audience can only appreciate and remember them as one of the best couples in a drama I have ever watched.

DramaAddict Apr 15 2020 12:55 am About the relationship between Kim Soo-Hyun "88" and Kang Seul-Ki..... I have this weird theory that they are Father and Daughter ( from a conversation in Ep5). Here is why I think its true: 1st: we all know that The numbered children were used as organ donors "spare parts" for the rich... so they could get healthy organs transplanted whenever they are sick. BUT, even though we hear 88 call the Evil Director guy...Aboji.... the correct scientific relationship between them is "Cloning" not Father / Son by artificial insemination!! The numbered child can not just be a kid (son or daughter) of the rich... they have to be of the exact genetic sequence "DNA" to prevent organ failure and rejection when they do the transplant surgery.

2nd: we also know that Seulg-Ki was one of the numbered children and was just a baby when the evil Director decided close the orphanage and kill the numbered children. But, she was saved when the foster mom took her and fled. Another thing that may be a clue....Somewhere in one of the conversations between the undercover secretary and the doctor seeking revenge in the green house... she told him that the Evil director needed money to start the project again so the Grandpa gave him money and took Seul-Ki as collateral. (same daughter conversation but at the beginning ep5 / time 40:10)

From those conversations (Seul-Ki is important to the Evil director) ... plus they never told us WHO was the rich person that Seul-Ki was made for I kind of deduced that ....

Seul-Ki is a clone of Evil Director SICK daughter that was dying and was in a wheelchair?*

FINALLY.... from genetics point of veiw.... 88 and Seul-Ki are father and daughter?

mostly been brought up in the earlier comments. For a short kdrama, I think it's really well-made. The emotions that were built up were solid. I always have the this perception ; that Jang Ki Yong can act through his eyes and body language..watching this drama, I'm even more certain of this. ?

Aussie Guy Feb 25 2020 11:34 pm I loved this show. While I would have really liked the ending to have been more uplifting, the current ending was fitting. I think the director and the writer(s) managed to create a tragedy that worked really well. Kim Su-Hyeon was an assassin and he had to overcome this huge hurdle before he could become a hero. By dying, he was exonerated for his past deeds. I have no doubt that Kim Su Hyeon will be reincarnated as a hero in his next life.

Chang Ki-Yong and Nana were outstanding.Their chemistry made for excellent TV viewing. Their final scene together was truly awesome. The acting was intense and so very believable. I'm a fan. I will definitely be watching out for both these actors in the future.

xpacegoat Nov 24 2019 6:30 am I've already watched this series three times already! This is one of the most beautiful drama I've ever watched. The story, the cast, the soundtrack, the cinematography, everything. I've fallen in love with it and I've cried for it. Sure, the ending was kind of sad, but it was inevitable.

The chemistry Suhyeon (Jang Kiyong) and Hyeonjin (Im Nana) was so strong, it's quite different from other drama partners. It shows that you don't need to be so touchy to show your affection towards each other.

ALSO! For those who are quite confused about Seulgi, she is also from Hansol Orphanage. The grandfather she was living with was actually her father. The grandfather also donated for the artificial insemination project. He and Suhyeon were the only survivors of the mass killing of the numbered children from Hansol Orphanage.

It was inevitable considering he’s an assasin that’s murdered heaps of people, and plenty of them that were part of the investigations. And even if he hadn’t of died after he shot his father, he would’ve gotten a death sentence or gone to prison. And say if he hadn’t gotten caught killing his father and ran away it wouldn’t be the same without Phil, he would be all alone :( After saying this of course I’m still sad at the ending, but that’s only because of nanas acting, it really hit me in the feels. Good drama.

Not one single cast was not impressive- from the main male lead, female lead to all supporting casts were amazing. No stupid useless female characters. No unexplained stories. No repetitive plots. There was so much chemistry between the main 2 leads and I love the relationship between SooHyun and Seul Ki. The cinematography in this drama is daebak. I just love it and I am so proud of this drama- it just shows how much better kdrama has got better over the years!!

LionGold Jun 09 2019 12:13 pm SPOILERS!!! I couldn’t say i’m disappointed or expecting anything for the ending because i knew beforehand about it even before i started watching this drama. Some people might say they disappointed with the female lead decision at the end to just let soohyun be punished by law and i can’t say i won’t agree with them too.

But one thing i can say about this drama is it potrays the real consequences in real life situation which is there no such miracle in real life sadly. What will be WILL BE.. If i put myself in her shoes, i would probably be very confuse in my decision too i guess. But to be honest i did hope she will let him just escape but thinking about it again it won’t be any good either for his future. (Hmmm....how i wish this story is in joseon era where killing the bad guys won’t have you to be punished by law or something.)

And that is the important value i could obtained by watching this drama while other dramas i’ve been watching so far had me all over the moon in my imagination (in simple word out of the real world hahhaa) But it still fine because kdrama is mainly for you to be out of the world with your imagination anyway hahhaa..

The most hard breaking scene for me is when hyunjin cry all her heart out for soohyun after he being shot. I think i cried the way she did when watching that. Its breaks my heart into pieces... Anyway, i still LOVE THIS DRAMA..

thriller craze May 05 2019 5:40 pm First, Ki Yong and Nana have so much chemistry it's explosive.

Second, I am a person who goes for the music background as much as the plot itself. The fact I can listen to goblin OST for 3 straight years and will hunt down the music directors for their background music is a clear indication of that. The background music and the selected OSTs for this show is superb!

SPOILERS Third, I hate the ending just like the rest of you BUT isn't this a true reflection of power play and corruption in the world? Ultimately, Ki Yong can never be with Nana because of the conflicting roles they play. Even if he does not die, he will be sentenced to death with the multiple murders committed. It's not that Ki Yong didn't try to give the legal system a chance, the system itself failed to deliver the justice the criminals deserve.

Just one thing though, dear writers, it takes many many years for a kid to grow. So the premise of the whole show is quite illogical for the organs to be rushed out......although the idea may have originated from my sister's keeper, most people who suffering from cancer dont have the time the wait.....

KiNa May 04 2019 7:15 am I wish this had at least 16 episodes! I enjoyed watching this drama and I did like the actors and their characters. I'm a bit disappointed with how they wrapped the story though. We know that that might be the ending but if felt like all of the scenes from the last 2 episodes were rushed and some things left unsaid. But overall, the "Killer" character did really reflect those "assassin" type characters you'd read in a book. There's no "letting the bad guy speak so much" stuff and the like. You'll see when you watch it. And also, Nana at the ending? I had to stop myself from the overwhelming emotion. Btw, can someone pls share some insight with the end tag? Is it just a bonus? Or something to confuse us with? Lol. But happy there's an additional scene like that T^T

tina May 04 2019 6:45 am I really enjoyed this drama but I feel like the ending was a bit rushed. I just don't understand why they started the whole Seulgi being his daughter thing but then never brought it up again. Kdramas usually do a great job tying up loose ends, which I really love, so I was a bit disappointed. But all in all still one of my favourite dramas.

I knew what the ending was but still, I hoped that somehow it wasn't what I think of. It breaks my heart to see him sacrifice his life just to make Do Jae-Hwan stop. The drama is really good, I'll watch it again next week. I remember watching a scene wherein Ko Hyun-Woo said to Yoon Ji-Hye that "he have no idea he's living with his own daughter". So for the whole drama, I expected that Kang Seul-Ki is Kim Su-Hyeon's daughter and I thought there would be an explanation of it but there wasn't. That's why I'll just watch it again. Anyways, OCN really makes a very good thriller drama. If you like this kind of drama, then go watch OCN's drama. I've watched a lot of OCN's drama and they were all so good, also the story were great. Top of all my favorite is the Special Affairs: Team TEN. They have 2 Seasons of it and I guarantee you, it is a very good drama.

Edevis May 02 2019 6:30 am I didn't know that this drama will be so addicting. I couldn't stop and binge watched it. Loved the plot, the actors were amazing, and the chemistry between the leads was so beautiful. I usually watch romantic dramas, but this really got me.

It is great that this drama doesn't have unnecessary filling scenes, which would just make it longer. They wrap up the story in 12 episodes and every scene is necessary for the plot, no flashbacks, no repetitions, which is a positive surprise from a k-drama. I would recommend anytime!!

(I loved this so much that I'm actually writing my first review for a drama.)

And yes you're also right about the rich man poor woman dramas. They're all the same and stupid. Low rating dramas are very good. Don't forget that if a drama is very popular, most likely it's very bad but popular because of the same boring plotline...

Good drama May 01 2019 2:21 pm Overall, a good drama. The ending really suits the tone and where the story headed though some might hate this drama because of it. Thank god its not another typical rich boy poor girl bullshit love story again. Hope Korean won't stop making this type of drama in the future even ratings might be low. I find myself enjoying drama with low rating more like Hello Monster, Mad dog and this drama.

I enjoy her acting, her expression is ineffable. and that crying scene, reaches the core of my soul.

Soo-Hyun finish his mission and die as free man (also phillip). Not to mention the rest of numbered kids save and get adopted. I also want to give an applause to Jeong Eui for her performance, that was one of the best crying scene I've seen so far.

Globally Pesimistic Dude With Short Hair Apr 28 2019 5:12 pm I hated the ending,it's like they had to find a way to wrap it up as fast as they could but it did'nt feel great. I knew the conclusion would kinda be similar to that but the way it was orchestrated was way worse than I could've ever imagined. I feel terribly frustrated and sad by this ending, like there is so many questions without answers. Overall I loved the 10 first episodes and when I watched the 11 I was confident because I thought that there was more episodes (nowadays a lot of dramas have a lot more episodes) but then I looked back on this page and when I saw that there was only 12 episodes I knew I would be disappointed because i felt that 1 or 2 episodes wouldn't be enough to wrap everything up. I merely stated my opinion and voluntarily omitted any spoilers, I had a great time watching this drama but was disappointed because I had such high expectations, that's it, and I would still recommend it. But, I don't think it's one of those dramas that I would appreciate re-watching in the future.

The story is a bit boring for me, i find its hard to keep watching, too much talking for action drama i think but i try to finish it while i am enjoying those two acting. I was actually so confused at first, then I started to understand the whole situation of the story. I really like their acting, especially Chang Ki-Young. I wish him to have more offers like this, being an elite assassin suits him well. It's just so sad that the ratings this get are low. shes not that good of an actress either... sorta awkward imo. how was she casted as the main lead..?

first episode felt kinda rushed too, they threw so much information at us and then switched attention to the two main lead’s dry “romance”.. dissapointed.. i’ll tune in again when it ends, to see everyones thoughts and maybe rewatch it if it picked up. otherwise, its a pass from me..

But i do agree that the plot is lowkey hard to follow. i'm still confused about the names and i don't really know who's with who and the relationships between the characters. Hopefully they make it clearer! also im so sad that there are only 12 episodes in this :( this is probably my favorite drama of 2019 so far (and btw, the osts are amazing)

The storyline is getting complicated when its in a half episode already.. while it made me confused I would say it is a good drama. If you enjoy watching action dramas well you would absolutely love this! Best of JKY drama..his role really fits him. Don't miss out! So, I will start again at episode 1 to make me understand more of the characters name.

I admit the acting is kind of cringeworthy sometimes (especially in the first and second episode) but it gets a lot better and the chemistry between the leads is amazing!!! I've seen a lot of people complain about the broken English but in my opinion it makes it a lot more realistic. Remember, the foreigners in this drama are supposed to be Russian thus their native language is not English !!! Their English isn't supposed to be perfect !!! Besides that, in most kdramas foreigners speak perfect Korean and that's just stupid and unrealistic. So I think the fact that they use English at all in this drama is praise-worthy. Anyway!! overall I really am enjoying this drama and I love the storyline. I really recommend y'all to watch this drama and PLEASE don't listen to all those negative reviews because I bet they stopped watching after one episode....

Un modeste admirateur Mar 27 2019 11:11 pm I've struggled to find something to watch, so I am extremely glad I stumbled on "Kill It". It's the most polished K-drama I've seen so far in 2019. Chang Ki-Yong plays a hitman with a soft heart, who is protecting an orphan teenager. His character reminds me of that of Léon in the 1994 movie "The Professional". But the storyline here is much more elaborate, and features a solitary police woman as a second lead, played by Nana. This beautiful actress, previously unknown to me, is a true revelation and is loaded with natural talent. I just hope she will continue to cultivate this talent in her future projects, and not let it slowly go to waste, like it often happens.

I am here Mar 26 2019 6:12 am Just finished watching ep 1 & 2. Ep 1 may seem a bit boring but ep 2 makes up for it! The first ep had to really set the scene for the male lead and the story too so please, if you've started ep 1 I suggest you watch the second ep too before choosing to continue watching or not :)

Also I gotta agree - Nana is gorgeous! Never watched her in dramas/movies/kpop, but here she's killin' it! Her acting is pretty good too so let's hope it stays that way!

The person working with the female character as her partner should have been more of a handsome, built ,smart intelligent character who would do anything to arrest the ML since he's father was murdered by him. As well as play a love interest as the 2nd lead. My opinion!!!!☺

Around the corner, sitting on the stairs, coming in, getting out, on the street, always next to the main actor, without a plausible reason. The teenager should be at school and the cop at her police station or on the field. There were a lot of sequences without a real meaning, only to fill the episode time. Something is wrong with the story and these two characters.
