Children from influential families in politics and businesses attend the Hyakkaou Private Academy. There, the hierarchy of the students are classified by a series of games. Students that win the games are on the ruling side and the students who lose become slaves. One day, a mysterious girl, Yumeko Jabami (Minami Hamabe), is transferred to Hyakkaou Private Academy. She looks pure and pretty, but she is actually a compulsive gambler and seeks out the thrill of taking calculated risks.

Bezy Jan 21 2023 8:21 am The acting of yumeko is too much cheesy though shes cute . The acting is too much cheesy cutey and wierd embarrassing, I just notice that mostly of japanese live adaptation is they really trying hard to act and look like in the cartoons in which it didn't suit to a live or human acting. The reason why it didn't become hit in any countries. Only alice in borderland is a perfect adaptation that it’s like a korean standard live adaptation since the action and acting is just normal and realistic.

boytakoyaki Apr 02 2019 3:24 am to JDramafan, Yes Yesss!! Minami Hamabee!! Havent seen her in other dramas but after watching the first episode i instantly fell inlove! Now watching her other dramas keke~. Just my one cent, the other characters did great too! Tsutsui was so funny as heck, i hoped me some loveline but seeing the focus of this series, it seems impossible.

JDramafan Mar 07 2019 8:11 am Bottom line: 10 solid episodes of Minami Hamabe at her cutest. Guys, if you're not in love with her after this show then you need to check your pulse. Beyond that, there's not much to this show.

In Depth: Not so in depth this time because there's really not much to this show. It's a gambling drama based on a gambling manga whose prime appeal was fan service. If you're expecting something the calibre of Kaiji or Akagi then you are going to be very disappointed. The entire story, setting, and writing is just a vehicle for Minami Hamabe to show how cute and gorgeous she can be. In that sense it's a resounding success, but don't expect much more.

Mina May 12 2018 12:22 am Minami Hamabe isn’t too young to be Yumeko. She was born in 2000, so she should be 18 in 2018. That’s the perfect age for a high school character. They couldn’t have chosen anyone better.

Unfortunately, there's no such school have a gamble. Maybe in himitsu in other place. Manami-san give justice to Yumeko-san and Seiyuu Saori Hayami.

Ntr48 Nov 28 2017 5:28 pm Nooooooo! Minami Hamabe is way too innocent and too to act as Yumeko. Everybody expected that Yumeko is someone sexy, mature and erotic. I can't imagine Minami Hamabe to act like that. They should have chosen Elaiza Ikeda or Ayami Nakajo or Nana Komatsu or Arimura Kasumi.

I hope Kentaro Sakaguchi or Kento Nakajima is Suzui I hope Reina Triendl or Nicole Ishida is Ririka and Kirari Momobami.
