Kazuya Takano (Kazuya Kamenashi) is a former surgeon, but he now works as a lawyer. He is a genius in terms of intelligence and reasoning. He gets scouted by the Shidanzaka Law Office. The founder of the law firm suddenly died and the lawyer daughter of the late founder brought Kazuya Takano to help rebuild Shidanzaka Law Office.

Kazuya Takano begins to work with four other lawyers in room 1 of the law office. They are in charge of criminal affairs. The four lawyers all come from different backgrounds and have different personalities. The other four attorneys are the late founder's daughter who is a rookie, a lawyer with an inferiority complex and who used to be a NEET, a prideful lawyer who used to be a judge, and a lawyer with a compassionate mind who used to be a detective.

Grandmalee Dec 01 2021 3:08 pm This drama shows once again that a series based on a published book rather than manga has more assurance of quality. But there is, as always, still the mediation of the script writer, who interprets and transforms the original into TV material. I feel Kazuya Kamenashi overplays his role a bit. His character certainly carries a lot of baggage, but does he have to be so totally cold, even asocial, to colleagues and clients? None of the actors playing the other lawyers in the same division of the law firm stands out as impressive. Yuko Oshima has little opportunity to demonstrate her acting skills, as her character is mostly confined to a hospital bed or a wheel chair.The idea that a lawyer has to do his best to defend his client, whatever the crime, is a hateful one and, in certain cases, a travesty of justice itself. That's why bad guys, who can afford to play the system, can get away with murder. The drama series addresses similar issues but doesn't come up with convincing answers.

Rose Oct 18 2021 12:00 pm Watched this until 4th episode. It was really interesting. Really recommend it. Somehow it was refreshing to watch Kame in that kind of character. He did so well. Will watch the last episode.
