Aki is a 15-year-old girl and grew up around a mahjong parlor. During the winter, Aki moves out to Tokyo. She experiences difficulties there and decides to survive using her only weapon, which is mahjong. She goes up against bad adults and faces the reality of living in a large city. Around this time, Aki meets fellow female mahjong player Himawari and Takeo Kojima. Since then, she goes through major changes.
Notes
- Based on manga series "Aki" by writer Keiji Hanasaki & illustrator Mitsuru Osaki (first published November 25, 2011 by Takeshobo). The manga is based on the life of Aki Nikaido who is a professional mahjong player.
