Mi-Kyung (Bae Jong-Ok) raises her son Soo-Hyun (Ji Yoon-Ho) alone. Soo-Hyun is in the 3rd grade of high school and he is a good son. One day, Soo-Hyun brings his friend Yong-Joon (Lee Won-Geun) over and Yong-Joon stays with them. A couple of years later, Soo-Hyun is released from the army. Soo-Hyun and Yong-Joon go on a trip, but a car accident happens. Soo-Hyun falls into a coma. Mi-Kyung blames Yong-Joon. She also learns a secret about Soo-Hyun and Yong-Joon.

Pumpkin Dec 24 2021 8:18 am This was such a good movie. The comment below by Toukyou Master, I so disagree with this. The fact that they only view this as a BL drama saying that there were less intimate scenes clearly tells that they failed to get the drama. You clearly don't need more loving scenes to indicate they are in love. If you want more of a lovely scenes, Thai BL drama is the best for you but this drama shows the storyline in a time lapse. It's not regular. If you see, the mother clearly is going through the process of accepting her son's sexuality. You don't necessarily need to cry or scream to show how someone's feeling. 2nd, we can see the love between the guys, them being in trip, Soo Hyun inviting any friend for the first time ever, sleeping together, Yong Jun visiting Soo Hyun every year during the military period, this is the drama that is solely not devoted to the BL section. Third, saying mother disliking Yong Joon before finding out, I mean where do we see that? She clearly shows a liking. Yes we see she not giving too care but notice we later see she inviting him to watch TV? Lastly, When Toukyou said the mother barely touches her son's sexuality, the mother is already devastated by her son's accident, she then later finds about her son being gay. Note that this happened when the mother is still in vulnerable position trying to be strong for her son. What could you even able to do during that time? Scream at her son who is in coma? Instead she chose to ignore and even tried his Yong Joon to make a distant from them. When Yong Joon comes to see the mother, we can see she clearly states that she does not want to see him even if her son wakes up. She states it is not because of accident but because of diff things which we know what it was so she clearly is not accepting that. Then we see different time lapse. Yong Joon loosing his father, trying to suicide then calling the mother apologizing which means he wants to live and go on, then we see him visiting the hospital once again, the mother divorce, Soo Hyun's recovery, the mother acceptance, everything happened in a slow process and not just the another day. This is exactly what the movie was about. It's about being able to move forward falling, ignoring, love, hate and everything happened in a pace just like seasons. This was not a poor BL drama. This was rather the normal reactions we would see. Everything just in a right amount. If they showed the couple's being clingy and in love every time, then it would certainly leave out the meaning of the title. It's meant to show the pace of love, grief and acceptance. The drama showed love, showed denial, showed grief, showed recovery and then showed acceptance. It showed all these factors and that in a time frame like the seasons.

Toukyou Master Mar 21 2019 1:19 pm I am going to go against the comments here by saying that it wasn't really a good movie. The reasoning is that we don't really see much of the gay relationship itself, nor do we get much about the views of the mother after finding out her son is gay and in a relationship with his 'friend'. We get a few short scenes of the couple being touchy, and at the most one scene of the mother finding out her son is gay though it's far to subtle for my liking. The fact that we see so little of the gay relationship means I consider it to be a poor BL movie, and the lack of a storyline concerning the mother's relationship with a son in relation to him being a homosexual means I think it's a poor gay movie.

Tim below stated that it showed how Asian cultures struggle with homosexuality, but we know that she disliked the friend before finding out he was her son's boyfriend, and she barely touches upon his homosexuality.

Joey Oct 11 2018 10:21 am This is probably one of the few movies that left with me with overwhelming emotions after the ending. Despite the slow progression at the beginning, the cast and acting was so outstanding that I was willing to forgo the slow progression. There was no need for additional skinship, tear scenes or even words because the actors emotions was so raw, I could feel it behind screen. This movie will be going into my top movies. I'm definitely going to rewatch this movie again to understand it even better !!

Tim Sep 24 2018 7:56 pm this is indeed a sad and happy story at the same time, a mother struggling to accepting the fact that her son is gay, this is a very sensitive topic especially in asian countries where a lot of people still view it as unacceptable, it sad since all three characters have to fight with their inner emotion because they couldn't express themselves, unable to be open about their relationship or unable to accept reality that the son is not who she thinks he is, not a very typical BL story, but I like this one because it's very mellow, not overwhelming and no one dies at the end, I think it would be better if the ending is a bit more happy, at least the two boys deserve a loving hug from each other, they should be happily loving each other, I mean they in love with each other but to be unable to express their love is kinda sad, the story is focusing a lot on YJ and MK instead of YJ and SH even though its a story about the boys in love, but I think YJ and MK characters have more room for developing but I do agree that there should be more focus on the boys relationship especially on SH, what does he think or feel about their relationship and how to deal with it...over all this is a good movie.

Grace Sep 21 2018 10:04 pm This movie was very well casted. The actors all did a great job, making their character their own. However, I think the plot could've definitely been better. I wish there was more focus on Soo Hyun and Yong Joon's relationship because my impression of it was basically YG giving and giving and SH doing nothing in return. I think SH's character should've been developed a lot more because I finished the movie knowing next to nothing about his personality. It skewed my perspective and made me think YG deserved better.

All in all, this movie really tugged at my heartstrings. I will definitely look out for these actors' future works.

I got emmerged in this drama that it got me emotional. The ending was good to because it was not that fairy tale happly ever after. It was a real life happy ending which I personally liked it. Thumps up. Fighting.....

Refakim Mar 25 2018 1:07 pm I really touched with the whole story. How their love keep on going eventhough there some obstacles. But I think since there is a love scene. They should make it little bit intense like kissing each other but overall I’m loving it.

It's not your typical BL film but I'm glad it's not ur typical Korean BL films because those usually have a sad ending. *Spoiler alert* this movie does not have a tragic ending, luckily. However, I would say that it could've been a little better. I needed closure - like just at least hug once or something after all that. But then again, I guess it was a very slice of life movie so it makes sense the way they ended it. Anyways, very touching!

P.S. I feel like this is going to be have the feel of a humanitarian, realism movie than it is being depicted... And i am all here for it!
