Ichitaka Seto (Amane Okayama) is a 2nd grade high school student. He has held feelings for his classmate Iori Yoshizuki (Sei Shiraishi) since their first year in high school. Ichitaka Seto and Iori Yoshizuki become members of a committee to prepare a welcome party for 1st grade high school students. Ichitaka Seto gets close to Iori Yoshizuki, but his childhood friend Itsuki Akiba (Kyoka Shibata) appears in front of them.

tesunya Nov 13 2020 1:22 am for me this is probably the fifth times i watch this series, but i only watch fully for the last two, from a glance i seen it like it was a second class drama with second or third class actors, & kind a repetitive plots all over again with seto & iori like restart their relationship over & over & over, the acting from main male characters rather kind a blunt with same style reaction for almost any situation, & itsuki try hard to be the so free spirit girl that careless about boundaries but kind a failed, & itsumi just acting completely shallow head over heels fall in love type, while iori is slightly better image of how she play the character, but thats bcoz of the image of the character she played quite fit in with her, like most stand out pretty but kind a home girl type that still has shyness over many things, obedience - diligence in school but has her own ambitious goal, & especially the short skirt that when look from the of her ankle is like really fit into the manga image.

but after i watch for the 4th & 5th time, i came to realize although it might not be very fit in with the image from the manga, but if i put it separately from manga & just take a look from this own drama, & not to try imagine of how all of the actor's supposed to react, but rather try to understand why they react that way in anyway that can, i start to look all of the actor's differently, the characters that they played quite make sense to me.

they all in conclusion is rather good than bad, especially with itsuki & izumi if u want to talk about how the actresses play the character, kyoka shibata i already like her when she played another's role in other drama (i forget the title or even the plot, but felt very familiar with the face untill i saw Have A Song On Your Lips, there she play alongside several other girls whic also attractive for me for their more grown up ver.), but izumi....damn I didn't know even realize the same girl who play a glasses girl that look very introvert in High School Chorus are the same girl who play as a crazy in love girl with bold character when it comes to express her own feeling towrds someone she like, its like 180degree change overall from one character to another, thumbs up for that.

too bad like any other story its ended, but that also make me wonder about how other character proceed with their own life as finally ichitaka & iori not just confess each other but also make a commitment with each other, how other living their life? are yuka finally can get teratani? what about nami? she is the most easy going, tough who can express her own thought but sensitive enough about others especially towards iori feeling to seto, care for others too. sometimes when i see this kind of drama that depict human relationship especially friends in school year, i wonder what sbout the non main character life? how are they all living? each has their own story but since it's a film, they can focus to everyone, so there's must be some who get more attention of how they run their life, & some are just like a complementary, their existence is needed yo make the story feel complete, but so much, how u all living ur life??? what ur thought, how u feel, what is friendship means for each of u??? it's like leave a big empty wonder about others life that not been reveal

Atrias Jun 12 2020 7:25 am I think the best actor in this live action goes to Ku Ijima (Teratani) and Minori Hagiwara (Izumi Isozaki). They both really act like their character in the Manga, especially Ku Ijima, he nailed it with the Teratani act. Unfortunately, the main role actor, the one playing Ichitaka Seto, is the one that's the least felt like i'm seeing his manga character came to live.

and also i'm searching for music theme that sometimes played in the middle of the series. and the sound was like a choir.

ParanoidAndroid Feb 18 2020 5:54 am Aso is my favorite girl in the drama! Too bad she lasts only for 2 episodes. Damn why so short. It is so heart-breaking seeing her leaving the dorm. I shipped SetoxAso so much, it hurts.

I was in search of a similar one and found this series from 97' that was said to be the the predecessor, gave it a try and fell in love with the story and the artwork, so much that I've found and bought the whole takobon for a steal. Will always be dear to my heart..

lambo May 23 2019 7:32 am well the truth is i almost feels like dejavu watching this drama coz it's direct story from the manga with not so much change, even though it's new live action but it feels like i've already watching it a couple years ago
