Plot

A hearing-impaired woman falls in love with a man who, after becoming engaged to her, loses his memory.

Notes

The alernate title "Die Sterntaler" comes from a German fairy tale concerning an orphan girl who had gave up all her belongings to ease the sufferings of other people she confronted along her path. At the end, she was rewarded as the stars fell down upon her and became gold coins.
