Kanzaki (Masatoshi Nagase) arrives in a quiet Japanese town. With him, he carries a strange helmet that works as a happiness machine. He uses the helmet on an elderly shopkeeper. As soon as he presses the buttons, the woman remembers long forgotten happy memories and becomes much more cheerful. Soon, the entire town is allowed to experience the machine, but why does Kanzaki look so sad?
