I like Aoi Nakamura as Sano rather than shun...i just realized aoi nakamura also played as saku the drummer in beck...aoi's smile just melts my heart...he is f'n handsome...hoping for more lead roles for aoi....and shohei miura as suicchi was just hilarious! This version is really awesome!

donteven Apr 28 2016 10:12 am Ultimate waste of your time. The original is literally the best. Why? BECAUSE IT WAS 4 YEARS BEFORE THIS WAS MADE! A remake is meant to be for 10 years or 20 years after a drama has aired because the original is in your minds for at least 5 years if it was as good as Hana Kimi 2007 but noooooo they had to make a remake 4 years after the original then ruin it with some ugly asf looking people to take the roles, I mean everyone was so ugly, NOT EVEN SORRY! In the original everyone was lovable I loved them all, literally, even the guys that showed up like 5 seconds each episode they were all beautiful and funny like the humor from 2007 was no joke. I'm pretty sure I died laughing every episode but for this, I'm pretty I sure I died from boredom and disgust every episode. The main girl that plays Mizuki is farrrrr to feminine l mean she talks all lady like what she does is lady like, wrong actress for this series, she may be good now or whatever but damn she made me hate the character and I love Mizuki! But honestly that actress had to go and as for Sano I mean COME ON!! If you're going to get someone to play a role that once belonged to Oguri Shun at least find someone who could pull it off at least, that guy may be a good actor or whatever but where are the visuals? Oguri Shun was able to make everyone fall in love with his mysterious ways and charismatic attitude when portraying the character but daaaammmnnn with this remake I couldn't stand the guy for 1 second. He looked like someone I could run over with my bike and he'd break. And of course lets not forget baby Nakatsu.. WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BABY NAKATSU!! WHO IS HE AND WHY?! Omg no no no I couldnt do it, I only watched this remake to see whether it'd make me fall in love like I did with the original but it made me want to slap everyone for ruining one of the best dramas!!! This is just like the Korean version, they shouldn't have been made!!

Tiara Jun 21 2015 3:44 am I'll watch this for Acchan, Tomo, Arata, Kettaro and girls from AKB48. Well they should made Sekime more attractive ^~^. If they made Acchan as Mizuki and Shun as Sano in one version I will love that! :). I also love the old version, that version makes me Maki Horikita

yahiro Sep 17 2013 11:15 am i haven't watch this drama but i'm giving it a chance.i think that 2007 hana kimi is the better one,it has a lot of hot guys but when it comes to girls i think that 2011 has the hotter ones except that maki is prettier than atsuko and atsuko is sexier than maki.Also yuki,mina,mariya,miori,Moe are prettier&sexier than the old St. Blossom's students.BUT LIKE EVERYONE KNOWS 2007 IS THE BEST,well both versions belongs to japan,both represents japan so i'll support both :)

I will watch it, first because Yukito is in it and second because Yukito played as Nakao Senri (T..T - a bit disappoint actually~) but i will watch it and see if i will watched until the last episode.. :))

Black Feb 24 2013 7:14 pm Well, I've finished watching the 2007 (and is half way to downloading all of them) and have read the manga. I really loved the 2007 ver. The cast, the comedy, the story line, the fluff, it was all great. The only thing that bothered me was Sano and Nanba-senpai's hair that were different from the manga, but it didn't really matter because their acting covered it. And to compare it with the 2011 ver, look-wise, the 2007 wins. But of course, I need to watch the real series, because how they look in the photo would be different (the same goes to the original Sekime who has platinum blonde hair in photos, if I'm not mistaken). It's pretty interesting how Iwasa Mayuko will have the Hanayashiki Hibari role in this new series too, well, she was pretty good. I'll have to say that Maki Horikita is more 'pretty' than the new girl, and it is to be expected from a girl who entered an 'ikemen' academy. And the 2007 Sano and Nakatsu (Shun Oguri, Toma Ikuta) was more 'attractive' than the new cast, too. And yeah, I don't see a reason to make a remake of such great series in such an early time. I don't think that the new cast could surpass their predecessor (especially Ikuta Toma as the original Nakatsu Shuichi.. That guy was just perfect! XD). Toma Ikuta was perfect, Shun Oguri was awesome, and Horikita Maki was adorable. And, as a remake of a great series with 4 years gap between, the new series would absolutely be compared with the predecessor. And I don't think they stand a chance. But of course, they deserve a chance. I was planning to watch it soon, but I highly doubt it will impress me enough to have me download it.

W Jan 12 2013 8:09 pm Wow! At least there are 4 tenimyu cast (Bunta, Kentaro, Shinji and Kaidou) and one stage actor in this version (Takami Oozora). Above all of that comment about which one better 2007 or 2011, I think Tokuyama Hidenori play a good Oscar-----even though I really wanted this version Oscar looks like the manga version Oscar.

When it comes to " Physical apperance" --- I go for the 2007 version of Hana Kimi wherein THEY ARE REALLY CONSIDERED as HOT and GOOD LOOKING GUYS...it's not questionnable but now,

the 2011 version....I don't think you will catch the attention of the viewers the same as how the 2007 version caught the interest of the people...2007 version of HANA KIMI has that IMPACT already and it's already inculcated in the mind of the viewers that this new version can't SURPASS the success of the older version which is WITTY at the same time full of HUMOR

Talent and skills: I still go for 2007 cast... especially on the portrayal of the role of "NAKATSU"---Ikuta Toma really gave "justice" and "life" in his role being Nakatsu...I don't think "SHOHEI MIURA" can outperform Ikuta Toma in terms of portraying that kind of character,,

MAKi HORIKITA HAS that innate talent and innocent pretty Face while ATSUKO MAEDA is "not that attractive" enough to persuade and make tHE VIEWERS FALL INLOVE WITH HER...

sassygirl989 Oct 29 2012 10:45 am it cant surpass the first one. 2007 is waaay better than this one. No one can beat Toma-kun as Nakatsu!! Maki-chan is the best Ashiya Mizuki, same goes with Shun-kun as Sano.

Elli Feb 27 2012 6:50 pm i found the 2007 version way better. this one is still fun and everything, but the original cast was more natural and beter looking. i also dont really like the new staff(princial and doctor) as the old ones were much kinder. i am also missing the really stupid cometitions between the dorms which made the 2007 one so uniquly funny. and the damaged school adn school closure really goes on my nerves... but i find it funny, how the blossom girls are walking in this weird way with their arms put together over the head waving around. whenever i see that it cracks me up. the good thing is, that it follows the story of the manga more closly, but in my opinion, it's to early to have a remake. the 2007 hana kimi is listed 3 on dramawatching sites and thats really not so bad that you need to improve it...

Izabii Dec 09 2011 11:33 am I like the 2007 version. I don't think anyone can play the role of Nakatsu better than Toma ((: Plus, Nanba, Sekime, and Kayashimi looked good during the old version. Not that i'm hating or anything, I'm actually gonna watch this because of Nishii, But i can't imagine anyone else playing the role of Nakao, or heck, any of the ikemen than the previous ones. Just my opinion though (:

zzz Oct 07 2011 10:53 pm First time commenting here. Just recently (like merely weeks ago) I finished the 2007 version of Hana Kimi and was utterly surprised to find a remake this year! I can only hope that it'll be just as funny as the last because it's comedy was what gave it a lasting impression on me. The actors aren't bad, I was pleasantly surprised by the few I recognized like Shohei Miura, Ren Kiriyama and Tomo Yanagishita (what happened to your beautiful hair!? you would've been the perfect sano with it...waaaaaaah).

I've been reading these comments and I'm really looking forward to seeing the cameos! I haven't read the manga or seen the other versions to really make a comparison but I just hope we could give these fresh faces a chance... But the only thing I find unbearable is the same script lines and phrases, like if you were to stand next to Namba-san you'll get pregnant!!! If I have spare time I'll re-watch Hana Kimi with the remake- definitely!

Matsumoto Ran Oct 01 2011 8:33 am SERIOUSLY, NOW. I don't see the point of making a remake of the 2007 version. Especially if it already did great. This would only bring comparisons of which version and who portrayed what role best. Kinda disappointing. I haven't yet seen an episode which makes this opinion biased. But I'd think I would still prefer Hana Kimi 2007, whether I watch the latest version or not. Purely my view on the matter.

hanafi Sep 23 2011 9:18 am i think there make abit different than the original,for the first there were a scene where get accidentaly drunks and he almost kissing mizuki but unfortunately he was kissing nakatsu but in the remake one sano getting drunks just like the first one but he kiss mizuki not nakatsu,futhermoe i really don like the principle who acting as the evil one than the originally who so kindness and sweet and the setting ,in the remake it look badly just like that school so poor but in the original one its all completed ,the truth there alot of diffrence between both hana kimi if you all watch crefully.however the actor and the actress not bad just the story line make the story kinda a bit boring however it still fun.

Kyo Nobuo who played the original Oscar will have a cameo in ep 6 with the current Oscar (Hidenori)...This version is close to the Taiwan version (especially episode 5 with the bath house)...I still love the original 2007 version. In this version only Ren Kiriyama looks like Hiro.

Especially because I LOVED the old version... I mean, I get it if they remake some drama from ten or more years ago or something, because it'll be different, of course... but Hana Kimi was made in 2007 so I really don't understand it... I'll give this version a chance, though ;) So I just watched the first episode and I have to say that, honestly, the new cast was rather dissapointing to me... they all seem to be trying to imitate their predecessors and not just play their parts in their own way like they should... which makes them seem fake somehow... the new Sano is completely different from the 2007 one but still really dissapointed me because, although I know Sano isn't supposed to do much and just lie around and stuff, Shun Oguri in the 2007 version managed to still have this casual coolnes about him, whereas the new one somehow lacks "style" (?) and just doesn't have "it" (just my opinion from the first episode, though - you know, first impression and all...) Apart from the cast, though, I liked the differences in storyline and the script of the first episode and I'll keep watching, because maybe my opinion of this new version (especially cast-wise) will change after watching a couple more epiosdes... ;)
