Chizuru (Anne Watanabe) is the new teacher at Umega High School. Since her school days, she has played violin in an orchestra. One day, she listens to an amateur orchestra play at the local cultural hall. She is touched by their performance and decides to enroll in the orchestra, but there are 2 orchestras in town. Chizuru mistakenly enrolls in the orchestra which consists of elderly people. The members there are thrilled to have a young person join their group. Chizuru is unable to tell them she made a mistake and becomes the conductor for their orchestra.

Tory Mar 12 2018 3:01 am A heart-warming movie that is hilarious and moving at the same time. Anne Watanabe is brilliant as always. She and Sasano-san are a perfect combination. Their scene with the reference to the Last Leaf by O'Henry is my favorite. Her interactions with Yuina Kuroshima also are interesting. And Kentaro Sakaguchi, it is refreshing to see him get rid of the usual "cool guy" image to portray a friendly and clueless teacher. The rest of the cast did a good job too. Every character in this movie including the antagonist and minor ones is well written.

SPOILER:

I have a feeling that Ken-chan's character is a closeted gay and thanks to Anne's character, he got the courage to come out and flee to France with that conductor. But never mind, maybe that's just my imagination ^.^
