Miyuki (Yuka) is a single mother who raises her daughter Maya (Aoi Ito) alone. Miyuki works as a daycare teacher. She visits Tohoku, where the earthquake disaster occurred, and works as a volunteer. There, she meets Sri Lankan Kumara (Omira Shakuti). One year later, they meet again and become attracted to each other. They register their marriage and become a lawfully married couple, but, right after that, Kumara is detained in an immigration facility. He is ordered to return to his home country.
