Eps. 1
Right before their imminent divorce, Ji-su and Hyeon-su lose their daughter, Su-ah. At the time of Su-ah’s disappearance after school, Su-ah’s mom Ji-su was enjoying a date with a younger swimming instructor, while Su-ah’s dad, Hyeon-su, was making dinner plans with his co-worker Mi-ran. Meeting for the first time after a year-long separation, the two do nothing but quarrel with one another over their missing daughter.
Meanwhile, the police are troubled by the three cases of missing children that took place just one week prior to Su-ah’s disappearance. The police quickly put together and dispatch a special kidnapping rescue squad under Captain Park and Detective Nah…
Eps. 2
While the investigation enters a new phase as a body emerges from the Yangjae Steam, the rescue squad cannot narrow the difference amongst team members as to where the investigation is headed, and tension remains high. Captain Park (Kim Young-ho), not ruling out the possibility that the one responsible for the three missing children may be also behind Su-ah’s disappearance, carefully proceeds with his investigation despite Captain Pyo’s (Lee Dae-yeon) interference. Meanwhile, the kidnapper sends a second message through a flower delivery demanding 10,000 dollars … Ji-su (Ji Su-won) and Hyeon-su (Lee Se-chang) go to the rendezvous point with the ransom money. Coincidentally, the rendezvous point was a cafe that the couple frequented in the past and they look at each other with different feelings. The two wait under the watch of Captain Park, Detective Nah (Park Shi-eun) and Captain Pyo for the kidnapper to show up, but the kidnapper never appears and in the end, the first attempt to apprehend the kidnapper goes in vain…

As coach Gang (Sohn Heon-su) calls Ji-su repeatedly asking her to lend him 10,000 dollars, Ji-su becomes suspicious of Gang who had shown particular interest in Su-ah. The thought that her affair may have led to the current tragedy quickly forces her into denial of such possibility, and she does not tell the investigation team about it. Meanwhile, the police come upon a CCTV footage of Coach Gang hovering around a stationery shop in front of Su-ah’s school and begins investigating him. Ji-su becomes convinced that Gang is her daughter’s abductor when she sees a birthday present for Su-ah that she got from Mi-ran.
Eps. 4
Hyeon-su is struck with belated regret and a sense of guilt after coach Gang tells him how lonely Su-ah and Ji-su have been, not having a dad around and being neglected by her husband.
Ji-su was a shortsighted mother who thought only about Su-ah’s future rather than her present as she forced her daughter into after-school classes and tutors, and Hyeon-su was a cold-hearted father who gave his daughter nothing but material affluence. Slowly, bit by bit, they start opening up their hearts to each other to find Su-ah and try to become the kind of parents that they should have been.
