Young-Ran (Ryoo Hyoun-Kyoung) runs a small cafe. She happens to meet Ho-Chul (Kim Ju-Hun), who also runs a cafe in the same neighbor. They fall in love and get married. After their marriage, they still run their cafes separately due to the terms of their leases. Their relationship hinges on who makes more money, with the more prosperous owner receiving more respect. One night, Ho-Chul and Young-Ran hits a pedestrian with their car. That young man is Suk (Kim Shin-Bi). The young man tells them he is looking for work. Ho-Chul decides to hire Suk and, soon after, his cafe's business begins to rise.
