Carol Jan 07 2023 9:02 am One of my favorite dramas, beautifully written, and I just love the chemistry between KMJ and PEB. It's impressive that they are both very good in acting and master the violin and piano as well.

Choi Rae Mi Dec 31 2022 1:30 pm Hear me out. No hate just pure review based on my experience as a viewer.

I love the plot. It's refreshing to watch a drama that's quite realistic. It also has its own touch of comedy and gives a sense of hope to those dreamers who wish to attain their dreams... but there are quite few things that I really hate about this drama. I'll point them out here.

Three things I dislike about this drama:

1. Chae Song Ah - I don't think I can express enough of my dislike for her character. Her shyness, lack of confidence and her tendency to push people away makes me feel ill on the inside and out. I understand that there may be a hint of social anxiety and trust issues there, I have social anxiety myself and so many of my colleagues share the same mental problem, but allowing people to trample down on you again and again without ever learning to speak up for yourself just has to be the biggest red flag for me. It felt so cringe watching her get whipped around like a loser. It's pathetic. I think I lost it when she broke up with Joon Young because of her own insecurities. Like girl, you were the one who confessed first... she should have dealt with her insecurities first before starting a relationship. She makes Joon Young adjust all the time and it's an ugly sight to see.

2. Idiotic Friends - Min Sung (the idiotic best friend) getting angry and calling the friendship off with Chae Song Ah because the latter kept her crush on Dong Yoon. Obviously???? She would keep it from her because all the best friend does is complain about the guy. Min Sung is crazily obsessed with the guy so who will have the courage to speak up about it? Another is Hyeon Ho, so Joon Young kept his feelings about Jung Kyung (2nd female lead) and did him favor by not saying anything at all. He had to swallow his feelings for their happiness and Joon Young (Main Lead) ends up being the bad guy. Like what the actual BS.

3. The story is painfully slow and dragging. So I ended up lasting until Episode 12 or 13 and that was it. I vowed to stray away from Main Leads who appear to have a personality and social skills that of a potato.

Park Eu Bin and Kim Min Jae are both very convincing and excellent actress and actor who brought depth to the love story ! Park Eun Bin is truly outstanding in her performance and Kim Min Jae’sperformance is brilliant! The OSTs were beautiful and the cinematography magnificent! Congratulations to the writer , director and the filming crew ! Well done ! Great job ! ?????? I have been watching it over and over again !

In love with Kim Min Jae! <3 This drama really touches me. Thank you for making this drama (although I was two years late in watching it). It's such a beautiful drama. Can't get enough of it!!

Rielle Aug 15 2022 6:54 pm While watching this drama I cried a lot because somehow I can relate to Song ah. There are things that we love dearly but we are not good at it so we have to let go. But life must go on and we have to choose the path that we know that we will be happy and we dont need to feel anxious.

At some part of the drama its kinda boring because the characters are having a hard time to express their feelings or emotion most of the misunderstanding is because of their lack of communication and expressions of feelings. But I like this drama as a whole. I dont know why but i found hyeon ho's character annoying. ? I cannot recommend this drama to every one because it is very unique and those who love to watch Melo drama will appreciate this. If you need a soulful drama then you may consider this. ❤️❤️ more power to eun bin and Min jae

Great acting. Started watching in between Extraordinary Attorney Woo episodes and it started really strong for the first third. The pace then really slowed down - so much so that I watched it at 1.5x speed. It's a lovely drama with great acting from the leads, and great music but I think they missed a trick with the slow pace. Park Eun-Bin is delightful!

Maybe previously I couldn't appreciate this drama because 2020 was a bad year for me and it's better to marathon this drama instead of just 2 eps each week. P.S. Kim Min-jae and Park Eun-bin was so lovely here, visually and characteristically.

I agree with Just..this drama is Art..so I understand when people give bad comments and so on. Not all can understands art. I can relate to song-ah really well cz my personality similar with her. Her character helps me a lot to say no to someone who’s been using me for 5 years. Song Ah really strong when she broke up with Joon Young when she feels she’s not happy and give them time to heal and think. I ca’t get boring with this drama eventho I rewatched it numerous times. This drama is for someone who loves calm and introvert and not rush things in life. And I tell you..you can learn a lot from Song Ah and Joon Young.

I watched this drama when it was ongoing and dropped maybe in ep 10 or 12 because of how boring it was. I just watched The King's Affection and was very mesmerized by Park Eun bin, so I wanted to see her more but I hesitate a lot trying to rewatch this drama. I think the problem is just bad writing, because the actress is absolutely good. I saw lists of her appearances but unfortunately none catched my fancy despite there many of it. I hope Park Eun bin would be cast in JTBC or TvN dramas, they have the best romance nowadays..

This drama was not realistic at all, the excessively loser female AND male lead was so exhausting to watch... at one point I was shouting at the screen "Just Speak God Damn It" lolll It's not shyness anymore if you let people walk all over you, you are just a loser and honestly no one would stand still while someone insults you to this degree or being this mean to you, I bet there are young people watching this drama too, you qon't be unique or "different" if you let people insult you and believe me no one would save you, it's not a good portrayal, we need strong female leads who can express themselves properly... and the fact that especially the female lead always has this naive and shocked face was really annoying like girl get a grip!!! You're a grown ass woman wth with all these weird attitude... and the male lead literally had no unique or a complex character arch nor trait, 1-he is supporting his parents financially (wow shocker) 2-in love with his friend's girlfriend (even more cliché than the irresponsible parents) 3- ???? that's about it...

The dialogues were not realistic and there was no flow whatsoever, like girl who would pull out a quote in the middle of a convo or only talk about deep stuff, it felt like the main couple had nothing to talk about and all of it was artificial, and their convos were super phoney, "oh brahms something something traumerei something something" oh my god super pretentious

And lastly, like I said before these are 29-30 year old grown ass adults, the intimate scenes were so not it, they act like they ar 15 or something, it should have been more passionate, these scenes were so so so bad there was zero chemistry, this is the most unrealistic part of the show because 20-30 sth people do not interact like this AT ALL

Before the fans of the actors start defending the drama, I actually love these actors a lot especially Park Eun Bin and that's why I watched it obv!!! This is not the worst kdrama I watched but it is the most boring one

Kikkoman Mar 29 2022 12:15 am My gripe with this show is that there are too many cancerous characters(almost all professors are complete morons). and I really didn't care for any of the characters except for the two main leads. They carried the show imo. Park Eun-Bin is almost unrecognizable here. She portrays a shy, innocent girl. a complete turn around from her role such as King's affection and Age of Youth(aka Hello My twenties). If you like Park Eun-Bin or Kim Min-Jae, this one is an easy recommendation.

Country bumpkin Feb 08 2022 3:23 am Lee Hwi played the violin like a pro. In ep 2 she played the violin in second position, with wrist vibrato technique. Believe me, that took lots of time to make her acting look like a pro. Or maybe she did learn playing string instruments: violin, viola, or cello. My point is she must have spent many hours practising that ep 2 scene. I have seen many actors dont even bother to learn how to play the music instrument as i could see how ridiculous they act when performing playing violin scene. They are not serious with their work. Unlike Lee Hwi aka Eun Bin. ( i really forget to type eun bin in the first sentence above. Lol)

The characters can carry it out nicely and ended it on a very good note.

It show realistic struggles that someone could face. A downfall, a start over, and a let go.

The romance line is kind of complicated however the story runs very well.

However, I guess this is not for everyone as it might be too gloomy.

Give it a go until eps 6, hope you can enjoy this as much as I do.

Full of life lessons about finding career that makes you happy and what sacrifices you can do to find unconditional love. It teaches you when to give up, when to hold on, and when to move on. I highly recommend this only to those who loves watching melodrama.

If you loved a drama like Vincenzo or a drama like nine tailed fox or something like laughter in waikiki, then definitely this is not something you watch. But if you're a type of person who loves calmness and a realistic type this is perfect. At first I had no idea who is Park Eunbin and I also didn't think she's pretty at first so I don't watched it right away. But I got hooked with Kim Min Jae's voice it's so handsome! So I decided to watched. And one thing I can say after watching kdramas for many years I haven't felt this exhilarating feeling before. The way the two fall in love with each other is so natural and I really loved that. There are just few scenes in the drama that make you skip. The drama served the most realistic way of a drama so it includes some unpleasant people around the protagonist. Overall it's 10/10 no cliches no chaebol male lead just natural

Even though a lot of negative comments are seen on main leads, personally, I loved the main leads' acting, both male and female. A very difficult role to portray especially when they have to adapt to an introvert character. Well done, cast!

Much love to the creators. I don't know if this show is for everyone. But for me, this definitely landed on the top 5 k-dramas I love.

DB Aug 02 2021 10:54 am Follow up comment. The topic of deciding to sell your instrument was done well. I've been through this and it's not easy. The different people described their experience. Also the experience of the piano player who never owns the instrument he/she plays in public. With portable instruments, a relationship is built. Yes it's only an object, but the time spent with it can't be described to someone who has never played. Also, there is the other pianist problem. Often they are in the background accompanying. Some soloists can hand music over just before the performance. Also the role of the accompaniment. All acted and with a good story, but as I said, I'd like to have heard more. Also, what happened Beethoven's moonlight sonata? Why couldn't that come back? Such a cool piece of music.

We didn't get to hear enough of the music playing other than traumerai and little excerpts of practice. I nearly Stopped, but was enjoying the interaction of the 6 main roles, as I saw it. Finally in the last few episodes we heard some beautiful music. I found it annoying when a main role was playing and then it was overdubbed by the twee music of the series. It just wasn't near the same standard. Better to keep playing what would be heard in a Music school. Even more newly composed music playing on the instruments we were seeing, I'd have preferred. Also we kept hearing about chamber orchestra. It would have been nice to hear achamber orchestra. A series like this is an opportunity to introduce classical music to those who don't normally listen Even to hear a good and bad performance. I'd like to have heard more cello also. It's a most beautiful instrument. For example, when the boys made up, could they have played Swan SaensSaint or something together? A lovely idea, but some lost opportunity to play more beautiful music. Instead we got a lot of something not great. I've heard better newly composed on other Korean drama series. Surely a series with the title do you like Brahms should have high quality music through out? The piano playing in the into was nice, but even there, some violin and cello playing, just simply a trio or even two violins or 3 violins and 2 cellos with piano, representative of each character. Maybe I'm old-fashioned. Overall though, if you hang on, both the drama and the music picks up in the final episodes. Though I think the main female character is a bit harsh in not forgiving and understanding sooner. She never gets to hear his full story from the viewers point of view. She's annoyingly selfish as a character, more so than the rival who you can empathize with. The male characters are lovely, except the repair man, who doesn't deserve the girl he did have. Also, the main female lead is horrible to her too. So interesting. Concept. I was drawn in by the story. Some points didn't like. Mainly the music.

Musica Jul 30 2021 9:35 pm What I loved about this drama was that the pianist played the piano himself even though he is a rapper and the cellist also played himself - the musicians didn’t use doubles much. Some violin work too. Also the show understood music and music students and their stressful lifestyle. What I didn’t like was how long it took the plot to get going, nearly gave up. Congrats to Kim Min Jae for his piano playing, his first romantic lead. Koreans have an obsession with being tall, which doesn’t suit their slim, small boned frame. Better to be shorter, still have a cute face and be in proportion. I’m sure we will see more of him. Kim Sung Cheol also good, shame he lost out to the rich cold hearted girl, but he’ll be happier in the end. She could play violin though. Some seniors good too, the 3 professors. The charm of this was in the setting and the music and OST.

The first 3 episodes indeed boring, but if you watch the whole drama you'll see. I understand a lot of people disagree with park eun bin win the best actress for her role in this drama, because you can't just see how difficult it is to play such a character. People now just think that badass extrovert character is the best character but you need to know there's a lot a lot people out there have similar situation with song ah, so much insecurities, but then she made through it. This drama is deep, this drama is Not for everyone

Emina Jul 10 2021 2:47 am I Hate the main female lead, the protagonist of this story.. She completely ruined it for me.. The story is supposed to be about this woman who decides in her late 20’s to become a great violinist. Yet she lacks passion, and her personality is “meh”..

Also, they don’t talk much, instead they “think a lot” instead of verbally expressed themselves, they “read minds” so there’s constantly miss communication amongst everyone.. The whole thing is just frustrating to watch.

dada Jun 03 2021 1:11 pm I say, if drama makes you feel something, It is worth watching I guess?

The thing is that this is the first time I really dislike the female protagonist. She comes to me as extremely self-centerd person who thinks she knows what she wants, but then spents whole series doubting everything and worse, instead of looking for the problem in herself, she puts It on others. By the 12th episode I was really like "Joon-Young, please, go find yourself someone else". Like seriously, every metting they had began like an interrogation. And when in the last episode they said "you are considerate and thoughtful and you put others in front of you" I burst out in laugh.

Beside that, the whole story is based on one plot device after another. Characters constantly bump to each other and overhear conversations or see something by accident, that after while I accept, that these are not accidents at all, but their universe works like that. It breaks immersion really hard. Most of the dialogs are super streched and so many times I was like "speak finally ffs".

So yeah this show make me feel frustration and anger. And for that I do not regret, that I watch It. Because in the end. It made me feel something. But I do not know, if I want to see another one from the same writters.

I know why there are some people who don't like this drama. The main characters like to hide their feeling so there were lot of miscommunications.

But for me, i enjoyed the drama. The plot was good. And of course KMJ make me want to watch more and more, his smile's amazing.

Character and love journey develop poco a poco & gradually like in rl, for me its feel so realistic.. chemistry between eun bin & minjae very sweet, cute and deep they delivered joonsong couple roller coaster love journey excellently,, their chemistry off cam so cute too, they enjoy when filming this drama, playful as well caring each other.. for me, watching the making film is like their own romcom version

Not forget to mention, its OST and classic music are so fine!

I highly recommended this drama

traumerei May 06 2021 4:29 pm i finished watching Brahms and i dont really like it because of song ah's character. i decide to rewatch it,wow! finally i understand what drove song ah to be introvert. anyway, even after watching for the second, i felt much more pitiful towards hyun ho! he gave his best towards the one he loved but that woman, goshh, is very stone cold!

For some people, this drama might be a bit dragging. But actually, the development of the characters' love story (from strangers to friends to lovers) is the most realistic I have ever seen in Kdramas. I felt like the writers and director wanted the viewers to know how it feels to fall in love naturally.

Also, the kissing scenes were intense! PJY and CSA actually kissed and not just a long smack on the lips with the hands of the female lead hanging on her side. :D JY actually caressed SA's face while kissing and SA actually held onto JY's arms, you know, like how normal people do it. Haha!

For me, Do You Like Brahms? is a breath of fresh air for romantic kdramas. Not too much drama, no super mean villains, and most especially, No Rude Make Lead! JY was such a gentleman and kindhearted character which made it easier for SA and the viewers to fall in love with him. He was such a boyfriend material but not to the point that it became unrealistic. Kim Min Jae gave justice to his character!

Personally, I'm having a hard time moving on from this drama that I watched it 3 times straight in 2 weeks. Hahaha! Hoping to have more dramas like this!

The only downside that I have with this is that I have a cousin that almost looks like Kim Min Jae. And I hate it. I don't like romanticizing KMJ because of this, but I love him so much!!!! I might rearrange my cousin's face later lol.

To whoever said that the story-line is a drag, you're not old enough to understand this. Watch something like True Beauty or something.

The storyline in wonderful and this drama doesn't even have a slow plot and I think the momentum of this drama is just perfect, how it starts by being a friend, than becoming more closer and then in love. I would say that this drama has the best plot ever. the best kdrama for me ❤❤

Yes, this drama bit slow but it really into my heart. Both actor and actress delivered the characters perfectly. Most important good ending.

It also remind me of Winter Sonata ost. Most of the songs in WS using instruments piano and violin.

Some people might say it is very slow-paced, but tbh that slow-paced will actually makes you grow fonder of this drama. I can't exactly say what it is, there's some parts that's very complicated to say but I can definitely understand the emotions that all the characters want to portray. In short, it is a simple and beautifully written drama about love, passion and reality. Not to mention, all the OST and BGM are good! The BGM is my study playlist currently!!!

Down the road, I really felt all the emotions the flowed with this work of art. Pain of an artist, I realised not everyone who looks happy is actually happy with what is happening in their life. one should surely find happiness in life and also learn to let go and move on no matter how hard it may be. This drama is by far my personal favorite of this year K-dramas. It has a simple yet heart-warming story and it sucessfully portrays the beautiful relationship that two introverts could have in real life. Tho some people might find this drama slow, but truly if you love drama that is close to reality without any unnecessary drama, you should give this a chance. Bet the introverts will find this drama enjoyable the most! :) Kudos to MinJae and EunBin for their overflowing chemistry that makes this drama even more unforgettable!

Personally not my fave drama, as crime/fantasy is more up my alley but I did want to give this slice of life show a chance. I found myself relating to Song Ah and I my heart broke when she said farewell to her violin but that right there realistically displays life.

The professors are awful and needed a good punch in their faces. The fact that they get away with their foolishness is absurd. Also Song Ah's friends were being ridiculous throughout most of the show.

Honestly all this time while watching the drama I never hated jungkyung.. And this comes from someone whose introvertness is even worse than our heroine haha, just wanted to firstly say introvertness doesn't have anything to do with whether you like or hate jungkyung. I always feel so sad towards jungkyung and joonyoung, they're so pitiful. I think of the trio as my precious children (I'm a single 23yo girl lol). Jungkyung is painted as if she's an antagonist but if there's an antagonist in this series it's probably their teachers. The trio's life has been so tragic esp those 2, like walking on egg shells everyday trying to survive in the harsh world. Breaks my heart when they fought & went their separate ways, it feels so lonely. ***************************** (Might be spoiler ish since it's hinting the ending) ************************************************************************************************************************************************* Jungkyung deserves to be happy, she's been broken for so long since her mom died and I hoped she could find happiness with hyunho. It'd be wonderful if she & hyunho is back together, and the trio can get back together, with song ah they'd be 4 friends just like what the ending showed. Though in the ending it's hinted that they're only there to perform, not necessarily back to be best friends again and we don't know for sure if JK & HH is together, I can only dream. Alas goodbye one of my favorite drama, you weren't as musically focused as I thought but more of the lives behind musicians and I enjoyed it as a fellow classical musician.

It's not necessarily nonsense but it shows the reality of choosing to give something up despite your love for it. Her dream is not Joon Young. She will continue to love and dream if she comes across a new dream. And that could include Joon Young as well but it is not solely him. Also based on how she reacted when her professor told other people that she'd be a good wife to a world-class musician.

Though I do agree with some of the comments here that she could have chosen to do it as a hobby and not professionally, which is what she wanted. But that is a personal preference, depending on how someone moves on. Maybe doing it as a hobby will make Song Ah feel regret and sadness at the start, so we really don't know.

@TL I agree, they really looked legit. Kim Min Jae also mentioned that he mostly performed but the latter part of the graduation recital was only him following the hand directions.

The performances are also dubbed but they can perform it themselves, which is really cool because that really takes time as we all know :")

I must say the actors and actresses worked really hard to make their performances really convincing and everything looked legit . The drama turned out so beautiful and heart rending. I felt the last episode a bit fast, but that's probably because I do want to extend it more to see more happy endings for the other couples. lol. But so far as JoonSong's storyline, definitely A+ writing.

I can resonate with Song-Ah, some people may be annoyed, but I want to second that this is a true personality in people. There are those people who need to find the courage first before they do or speak about something. When you suddenly interfere relationship-wise with a group of people that has lots of history, it makes you a bit insecure, you end up keeping things to yourself because you don't want to be on the bad side of the person you love. and then you end up interpreting everything you see or hear. Then with JoonYoung, he means well and does not want Song-Ah to misinterpret but he obviously handled it the wrong way, which also really happens irl. So all in all, it's a very relatable relationship, you know.

P.S. I already miss Min-Jae and Eun-bin's couple cuteness!!

Her pride and self worth kept being crushed by the people sorround her. She asked for a break up not merely due to the act of park joon young played that one song. Other external factors were pushing her and made her trapped in her own lackness. Overall, such a splendid performance by the both leads and this drama potrays the reality of life. Im so satisfied with the ending. Such a realistic ending.

I also love kim min jae, i like him eversince he played the son of choi ji won in 18 again, i think i he will be able to make it big soon. But honestly, i was not excited with the love story of Song Ah and Joon Young because Song Ah's character is really annoying to me. She has the same emotionless facial expression from beginning of the drama until the end. What i am most lookung forward to though is the love story of Hyon Ho and Jung Kyung. I think that they have the best love story between the two pairs. But overall, i think its a good drama. Worth watching.

Also, everyone did great. And I knew that Kim Min Jae and Kim Seung Cheol were talented but DYLB really gave me a new viewpoint of them. Their eyes and voice say a lot.

Traumerei was THAT meaningful, especially with Jung Kyung adding on to the problem. And for a girl who went through a lot of mental abuse from herself and from others, I understand Song Ah's insecurities and reaction. Though the breakup was not solely because of him playing it.

Regardless, Song Ah realized that Traumerei is just a habit now for Joon Young, with no lingering feelings and such. And that's great.

Both are now more understanding of their feelings. Joon Young is learning to be more open and selfish, and he's now playing the piano for himself. Song Ah is letting go and is more mature and understanding.

Though she was annoying, I'm also glad Jung Kyung is pursuing her career as a teacher, because she does have the talent and skills for it.

kdrama rookie Oct 21 2020 12:26 am im not a fan of melodrama, but i give this series a shot, and i think this drama is great. yeah, sometimes the characters were annoying and frustrating on some part of the story, thats a given because both characters struggle how to express their own feelings but in the end they still found the happiness they were looking for. main leads look cute together, they really capture song ah and joon young character. the music pieces are great too.

I am the one of audiences who sick of CSA character at the middle of the drama but, as i watch the next episodes, at some point, i don't know how, i started to understand her. I know to feel insufficient about something and i know the need to hide emotions. It means suppress your feelings. All the time. Unfortunately, it takes something from your soul. It looks meaningless from outside, but you can't see yourself from outside. You keep hurting yourself. Even if the solution is very simple (to give up the violin for CSA, i think it was her turning point), it takes forever to find the solution in that mood. I agree with the comments about CSA's character, but it makes her real person with all flaws. I hope she doesn't lose the way to happiness.

I don't know but for some reason, I so much loved JY, JK and HH trio performance. Also, when will JoonSong get over the Song ah ssi and Joon Young ssi phase? Lol When they have grand children?? Well I guess they're comfortable speaking formally even after being engaged. Anyway, I have to say this drama really captured my heart. It made me happy, sad, tensed, Frustrated, and happy again. It's the most unpredictable kdrama I've watched and I'm glad the plot was well executed. I was annoyed with some of the characters but now that I think about it, nobody's perfect. Instead of portraying characters as the most amazing people on earth, like most kdramas do, Do you like Brahms showed us the imperfections of humans, their insecurities, misunderstandings and unhappiness and that we need to learn how to love ourselves before we can truly love others. I was so immersed that I actually felt the characters' unhappiness, frustration and annoyance. Kudos to the writer!!! The actors and the entire crew of DYLB. Thank you for making my Mondays and Tuesdays interesting. I'd rate this drama 9/10. Highly recommend if you want a drama that portrays the harsh reality of love, friendship and passion in the classical music field.

Anna Oct 18 2020 1:52 pm Ignore the bad comments some people just don't understand the depths of humanity and how life can beat people down until they behave in ways that can be hard to understand. SA might be annoying to some because she seems too passive and docile but if you are watching the same show that I am her behavior makes perfect sense, she has no one to turn to and she's constantly being insulted by everyone. If people tell you that you aren't worth anything eventually you start to believe them. That's SA she is insecure and scared of confrontation, she is a flawed character but everyone in this show is. It doesn't help that she's dating someone who struggles to open up emotionally who is being stalked by his "first love". I say that with quotations because I don't think he ever loved her truly, was just indebted to her and she definitely doesn't love him she's too twisted to even recognize what love is.

This show does a beautiful job of exploring how love can be an obsession and how we must love ourselves before we can ever truly even think of loving someone else. I hope you give it a chance because it has superb acting and some of the most romantic scenes I've ever seen in a kdrama, plus when the main couple is happy they are beyond sweet and so affectionate.

I am not sure why I found that Park Eun-bin's performance is quite mediocre in this drama. I had watched Hot Stove League, she was pretty decent in that drama.

She is so mediocre that I would rather support JK although I would prefer JK to chose another partner as JY is kind of indecisive. She need someone who could be more alpha.

Anne Oct 16 2020 2:34 am I believe all of the characters are flawed, as usual. However, I understand where the leads' personalities are coming from because it is realistic.

They are insecure, introverted, kind of independent, shy, and maybe, in love, or at least on their way to be in love. Their idea of love, however, is still not healthy because they don't want to show their situations behind the smiles that they share when they're together.

It is not ideal to be in a relationship when they're not helping each other grow out of these personalities, and instead, hiding these personalities and struggle on their own, and hurt the other in the process. I also believe that without these insecurities and with honesty, they could have more trust and love on both ends.

I wish the writers showed amazing character development and showed how much of a love story they could bring out of the two imperfect characters with harsh past experiences. It may or may not be more realistic that way, but I guess it'll be less frustrating to watch. But it is a melodrama so I guess it is essential to put tons of annoying characters into one universe.

I hope all characters, especially the main leads, will have amazing development for the last 2 episodes. I hope the main leads used their time apart and grow out of their imperfections and face reality together.

Also, I hope Joon Young apologizes for the right reasons now, and I hope Song Ah apologizes for not trusting Joon Young first. Plus points for her honesty when it comes to her feelings, but I hope she didn't immediately indirectly/directly ask Joon Young to stop doing this or that. Communication is really the key in everything, I really hope they'd improve because they do seem to like/love each other.

Wish we'd get to see more of their old clumsy and awkward chemistry like the first half of the series. They were amazing. I'm also very excited to see them play a Brahms piece for the last episodes.

I’m in love with Song Ah character, I think there’s nothing wrong with it. she’s just being an introvert girl who has a big dream but also too late to achieve it. it may sounds weird, but I believe there are people like Song Ah out there. idk why people hating on her, while people like Jung Kyung character? I mean she needs to grow up, move on, and get karma about what she did to her best friends. she didn’t deserve Hyun Ho’s love either. she tried to ruin Song Ah & Joon Young relationship, by trying to try to be there for him and keep him by paying everything for his family.

As a girl, I can relate to Song Ah. I mean, maybe Joon Young not wrong 100%, but I think its great if he can share his worry, anxiety, why he needs to see Jung Kyung, etc. so Song Ah won’t make any assumption in her head like “is Joon Young still in love with Jung Kyung?” or “why did Jung Kyung meet Joon Young at his place?” etc.

also, I hate the teachers so much. it is really weird about what they do to their students and act like they’re not teachers at all.

well... that’s my opinion hehe I hope that the final eps will give me or us a happy ending for everyone. because I feel sad with ep 14 ?

And I don't get what right she has to tell Joon young not to play with Jung kyung. He obviously was going to be paid for his work as the 'pianist' Joon young not as JK's friend. I feel so angry whenever JY apologizes for unnecessary things. And why tf did she get angry when he played traumerei? Remember when JY walked in to her confessing her past love to DY? He didn't say anything and just comforted her. Joon young needs to be understood. He didn't have the typical normal childhood. He had to carry his family's burden all by himself at a young age. He didn't go on dates or get into trouble as a teenager, instead he spent his teenage days performing in countless competitions and sleeping in hotels. The only friends he has are JK and HH but he's lost them too. And at the time he needs comfort the most, that selfish obsessive Song Ah tries to control him and tell him who to meet or who not to meet. I saw episode 15 preview and it looked like Joon young is going to be SA's accompanist for her grad school performance even after they've broken up. Okay, it's cool for him to play for his obsessive ex but not cool to play for JK who's his childhood best friend and first love? That's really sad. I don't blame JK for anything. She's suffering a lot too and should only care about herself. Song Ah's the issue here. I low key shipped JY and JK in the beginning tho lol. However, this drama may be boring and slow for some people, but it really isn't if you understand their personalities and positions. Also, there are a lot of annoying and greedy characters that could put someone off and drop the drama but it's pretty normal to have greedy people around you in real life, especially in that setting where greedy people want the spotlight but can't get the spotlight themselves.

They're a few years behind being the age of 30 but it doesn't mean that worries and insecurities are to be gone. Especially when their early 20's went by too fast or too slowly because of their struggles.

As someone who is insecure, introverted, and shy, I understand the main leads fully, and it's making me love the drama more. Though I may not do the way they did it, I understand that everybody has their own limits.

It's just that I hate that people put the characters off and claim that they're too much of a pushover, etc. when it is true in real life. People are actually struggling with opening up, speaking their mind, being honest to others about their feelings, their insecurities, their anxiety, and etc. I hope people aren't ignorant of that in real life as well.

I'm very excited about the last 2 episodes, I hope to see more of their moments together because I feel like the viewers were robbed off of that amazing chemistry.

I understand the writer's take on the main characters' emotions and behaviour...given their personal challenges while pursuing their musical dreams and finding love and support. A jaded pianist hates being talented and chained to the piano due to poverty. An ambitious violinist who dreams to become better but didn't have the privilege of starting earlier. A poor and unhappy rich girl who needs to be loved. The cellist who is a bit lost in this drama... I can't place him.

There are so many strong, outspoken, female leads. They may want to do something different, and I think the setting fits it. The small world of classical music where she's so dependent on those in superior positions.

This drama shows that those music geniuses and talents may be successful, but they don't enjoy playing anymore, while CSA just wants to enjoy it. And she may not make it as a pro-violinist, but is that wrong as long as she can support herself? Just like someone who quits his job to travel and do photography. It may seem immature, but when should she give it her best shot if not now?

People have problems with Song-Ah but not Jung-Kyung? Now I can't stand her self-entitled attitude about everything. She gives JY's family money so he stays by her side because he feels indebted to her? She's the one who has the same sad expression all the time.

It's really weired that they're almost 30 and still behaving like kids. I understand Song Ah though. Some people are extreme introverts and would rather be hurting inside than voicing out their anguish. Also, the fact that she's studying violin at that age is really funny but I like how the writer made her not to be good at it even when she's desperately trying to be. It would have been unrealistic if she had mastered the violin and become a pro just because of her 'passion' This drama shows that time and talent definitely beat mere passion especially in the classical music field.

As I've seen they are fighting with frustration, sadness, loneliness, misunderstanding, and a corrupt artistic entourage (the professors are completely a mess). I would agree with a love story between an economist (the female lead) and an international pianist, and yah, would have been wonderful if she had played violin as her hobby. Franck Sonata??? In reality, when we work with students without talent, the professional ethics requires us to be honest with them and NOT to encourage them to dream impossible dreams! It can hurt them deeply!

And also sometimes we choose to keep some of our private problem because we know how our bfriend or gfriend struggle and we don't want to burden them more.. or we just choose to spend happy moment instead of telling sad story because we know that we might not get happy moment outside.. Yeah, logically we know we should think of our gfriend or bfriend as someone who is the closest to us and is the first one who we find when we need help or solution.. but in my experience, it is not that easy, just like how this drama show us.. Also this drama show us how Song Ah feels inferiority and jealousy, i really can relate to that as even with my boyfriend which we have the same level, sometimes i still can feel jealous of his girl bestfriend as they already pass through much more time before we met (what i mean same level here is we are not like Joon Young, a famous pianist with Song Ah, still trying to overcome her endless problem of her dream).. Even us, who are still in the same level, can feel that.. how about Song Ah then.. Maybe thats why i really enjoying this drama and can't keep my eyes off it because i really can relate them..

And also she is swayed by the talkings of other people.. Even though she seems like a pushover, she is only caring about herself when it comes to her love life.. I mean she doesn't care much about Park Joon-young and doesn't try to understand him.. she also makes it tough/hard to him.. But when it comes to her life, she is being overly sensitive and weak again and again..she is going only downwards.

I think now it's time for her to change herself.. I mean, she should be more strong now.. she shouldn't take every single thing what others say to deep in heart and underestimate herself and also shouldn't be suspicious of Park Joon-young always and shouldn't give him a harder time. I believe the rest of the story should flow forward with positive remarks of the character Chae Song-ah. I mean there should be an improvement in their relationship between Chae Song-ah and Park Joon-young. They should become closer to themselves and should be more comfortable around themselves. Chae Song-ah should improve a lot, so that will happen. Let them have some romance too...we really hope so and waiting.. Now there's only 4 more episodes to go on.. we really hope that happens.. there were not so many scenes as for the romance between them. They react and portray their loves indirectly (you can see this if you really focus on the plot). What's more interesting for me is this drama actually shows the love of an introvert (the guy).it's like feeling lonely inside while sacrificing for others portrayed well by PJY. Not a drama for those who crave for heavy conflicts with great external effects but in this drama it shows the effects internally (emotions, minds).it's like a cliche melodrama series but actually not. There are always suspense and then reliefs after that for every episode.so it is like calming our emotions.just my 2 cents. Haha

The ML is a doormat. Both leads always happen to be run into one another. In every episode, they accidental run into one another, then there is bah bah dialogue, with both of them looking sad and depressed, next scene, looking sad and depressed they accidental run into one another more monotone dialogue and repeat. I stopped watching after episode 5.

But I feel so happy that I did not put it off and was able to watch it on its second week of airing. It's so worth it, and it's not even that slow as some would say because their friendship naturally came in considering their personalities.

Every single episode brings me happiness and heartache. I really love how they are building and establishing the relationships of the characters.

Sometimes I'm just smiling like an idiot, then they're bringing in some sad themes so I basically look like an idiot feeling sad but at the same time looking happy because of the cuteness from the scenes before. What a rollercoaster.

Also, I just love to see their relationships with their instruments, especially Joon Young and Song Ah.

I hope to see Joon Young actually loving his piano, maybe Song Ah can help him find his passion. I hope to see him play the piano carefree and with an actual smile on his face. His look on ep 9's preview is too sad. I hope he'll share some of his hardships :(((

She just realized it late and sadly, our poor Joon young is finally moving on. I feel so bad for Jung kyung though. Kudos to the actress!! She really portrayed the emotions very well and she made me empathize with her. I just can't hate her. On the other hand, when Song Ah confessed her love to Joon Young, i literary screamed on top of my voice. I stan a girl who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go for it. But i feel like Joon young still needs some time to sort out his feelings. Anyways, this is one of the best dramas I've seen this year. I hope they all get the awards they deserve, especially Park Eun Bin Unni!!

I forgot that it was the same person playing Noth roles. Park min jaes smile makes me melt every single time and the main leads chemistry is so pure and refreshing to watch. Her role in Do You Like Brahms is completely different from the previous roles I saw her in and was caught off-guard. She transformed completely to Chae Song A. So far, I love all the episodes. I cried so much in Ep.4. The chemistry between Park Eunbin and Kim Min Jae is off the chart. There's tension even when they are just standing next to each other awkwardly.

To be honest, i've never watched any Park Eunbin's drama before. 4 episodes in, i'm hooked. I really like the mood, the pace, and the chemistry between two main leads is sooo great. I really hope in the next episodes we get to see Chae Song-A's background even more. It needs to be fleshed out. So far it's focusing on Joonyoung and Jungkyung and honestly, i wish to see Joonyoung Song-A hahaha. And last, the OSTs are sooo good too! So far 9.5/10!

The awkwardness, the characters, the story.. i love all of them BUT i think for a drama that have Songah as main character, they give Jungkyung tooo much background story it feels like she's the mc, Songah's story only explained in first episode. She got overshadowed by Jungkyung. There's no full story for Dongyun and Minseong and their relationship with Songah while Jungkyung got almost half an eps to explain her character. I mean something like flashbacks or so. It's still 4th eps and i think it got better lol. Still waiting for more Junyoung-Songah interaction and growing relationship. Oh and I think Jungkyung-Junyoung relationship feels like LeeShin-Min Hyorin relationship in Princess Hours. Just like Min Hyorin, i dont like Jungkyung indecisiveness.

Rang Sep 08 2020 10:15 pm KJM used to always look like a cute kid in my eyes so I was really surprised to watch him in PJY's character. I really like how the story progress, and how PJY and CSA relationship grows. I love the friendship between the character, although as of the moment, everything is very complicated. I hope at the end everyone will still be able to become friends.

Even if it's just 4 episodes now, I can't help but cry especially when Joon Young played Winter Sonata and then Happy Birthday to comfort Song Ah

Chemistry is undeniable despite their awkward encounters because awkwardness shouldn't be a bad thing especially when the characters are reserved. There's no sudden burst when they meet because they're shy, awkward, and reserved, as I said. They are staying true to their character.

Pacing, in my opinion, is normal. It doesn't feel slow for me. Maybe because I appreciate classical music, the production, acting, chemistry, script, and etc.

nununana Sep 08 2020 2:13 am loveloveloveee their awkwardness every time they met by chance! they have this kinda soul touching chemistry! not typically my go to drama genre coz sometimes it could be too cliche but this one’s really great. always waiting for the eps to come out fast every week. loving the pace of their relationship. ofc be friends first. very realistic lol. didn’t expect eun bin and min jae to look sooo adorable together. hope the rating will go up. recommended!!!

I usually do not watch melodrama/ romantic themed drama, but I give this try because of the lead, Minjae and Eunbin. but turn out the story is good. But, I do agree the pace is kinda slow and maybe some ppl will said this drama is boring and frustated. but it fit me so much. I love the development between character that slowly appear ! cant wait for ep 4 to air! Yuhuu < 3

I loved Park Eun Bin in Stove League, and I'm amazed at how she just completely transformed here - I don't see any traces of that previous character in her Chae Song Ah at all! Kim Min Jae is a revelation here - I've seen him in a couple of shows before, and while he wasn't in any way bad in them, he's just exceptionally good here! Maybe it's also because he's steadily gained experience through his projects that his acting feels much deeper here. ?

As a classical music fan, I love the pieces they picked so far. I hope we get a lot of music and history along the way, to go with all the feels our leads are serving up! ❤️

Also, Kim Min Jae is a great actor, to see him act more and more on dramas is an amazing progress. I've watched the female lead from Age of Youth and she was excellent there. I am looking forward more from this series!

If you find it boring beacause of the plot, that's fine.. but don't comment that its boring without even watching it. People just have different taste in everything.. Stop spreading hate with this drama as well as the actors.

I already fell for the quirky yet cute chemistry between the leads. I can't wait to hear Park Sung Chul voice (but he's not a singer here, I guess he won't sing hmm). The tone, the vibe, the mood, the ambience.. this drama is mesmerizing. And it's kinda interesting to see each of our lead loveline. One likes his best friend's girl. The other one likes her best friend (+also her best friend's ex).

He was great in Flower Crew but felt like his character faded towards the end. Love Park Eun Bin also. Hoping for a lot of chemistry! Looking forward to this!
