Jang Sun-Gyeol has mysophobia (fear of germs) and runs a cleaning company. He meets Gil O-Sol. She has a bright personality and she does not mind getting dirty. With the help of Gil O-Sol, Jang Sun-Gyeol faces his mysophobia and also falls in love with Gil O-Sol.

"Clean With Passion For Now" takes over JTBC's Monday & Tuesday 21:30 time slot previously occupied by "The Beauty Inside" and followed by "The Light in Your Eyes" on February 11, 2019.
Based on webcomic "Ildan Ddeugeobge Chungsohara” by Aaengo (first published from August 24, 2015 via comico.kr)
The character of Choi-gun, played by Song Jae-Rim, was written for the drama series and not found in the original webcomic.
First script reading took place January 30, 2018 at JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea.
On February 26, 2018, staff from "Clean With Passion For Now" announced that filming has been halted to allow for Kim You-Jung to receive treatment for hypothyroidism. The drama series is now scheduled to air sometime in the second half of 2018.
Ahn Hyo-Seop was first cast to play lead male character Jang Sun-Gyeol, but had to drop out of the drama series due to scheduling issues. He was cast in SBS drama series "Still 17," while production for "Clean With Passion For Now" was halted.

Ep.11 & ep.12 will no not air Monday, January 7, 2019 & Tuesday, January 8, 2019. They will air the following week on Monday, January 14, 2018 and Tuesday, January 15, 2018. A soccer match between South Korea and the Philippines will be televised in its place on Monday, January 7, 2019.

It's interesting to bring the disease mysophobia and see its development. Very amazing to watch I recommended it for everyone!!!

M' Mar 01 2023 9:14 am Finally, I reached the ending, unlike the certain reviews that I have read about the drama. I stopped at the episode 13 after I read some reviews about the plot for the next episode is a bit disappointed, but after I continued to rewatched the drama again, my point of view is literally contra with other people opinion because this drama is really amazing which it's really relatable to the realistic life and all the plot was light and arranged well so it's not complicated to understand. Shortly, about the drama the male lead is the victim of the situations while the female lead was stucked between her love life and her family matters well it's right for her to choose her family rather than to show her feelings to the guys she's inlove with.

After reading reviews I almost did not watch because the consistent last three episode letdown…………..well, lesson learned…..don’t always believe reviews. Been watching kdramas for eleven years and this is a nice watch for the world of K Dramas, all sixteen episodes. Found some new actors would love to follow as a bonus.

I prefer the female lead ends of with the Dr. But already know the ending at the beginning. So I'm not sure to continue watching or stop.

I've seen it happen, and I am guilty of once holding something against someone because something a family member did. I have since grown and try not to hold any biases against someone because they're associated with them.

If you watch Link Eat Love Kill, both main leads lie a lot. Blame the script. Even Park Seo Joon's character in WWWSK lied.

The most honest romance couples and plot, only exist in Shooting Stars where both leads are openly honest about everything, even the smallest issue, making it wholesome

I also wish for Kim Yoo Jung's role where she Doesn't Have To Lie.

About the romance, they have the longest kissing scene, it was the longest for Kim Yoo Jung as well out of every of her dramas. Their bts chemistry is also great. In fact, she is the most comfortable with Yoon Kyun Sang, she didn't have to feel shy to play around with him, she could be herself without having to be blushed.

Gil Oh Sol is still one of her most cheerful and most emotional role, she should win an award for that wide ranged acting. Don't forget she did a lot of running scenes in 1 take.

hannelore Jun 11 2022 12:32 pm !!SPOILER!! I loved the episodes until we got to episode 13. EVERYTHING went down hill right there. It was so good, I loved the romance, acting, ... But when they split oh my lord I got mad at her. I get she's a little bit mad but Jang Sun-Gyeol had nothing to do with the accident of her mother. And then she dares to say to him; "I can't live with someone like you" or something similar like that my respect just dropped. And then she only visited him at night in the hospital?! Like wth. And then two years later she decides she want to be with him again. Imma be for real. Jang Sun-Gyeol deserved way better! I absolutely hated the ending, even though they got back together I hated it.

vitz Jun 11 2022 7:56 am best drama after Backstreet Rookie. Sure the drama has its flaws, but it's mostly fun and it gets better. I keep coming back to this show cause Kim Yoo Jung here is the cutest and showed her most emotional acting.

Highlights on ep 4, 6, 8(highest rating, Secretary Gil), 13, 14.

It's not overrated. it is severely underrated. Longest kissing and crying scene. Amazing acting by YooJung, KyunSang, and basically every main cast.

I hope this director works again with Kim Yoo Jung, cuz KYJ was the happiest when she acted here. Note for the next time, please don't make another melodrama genre shift and for couples to get back at the last minute.

Either way, I am most satisfied. If it wasn't for Kim Yoo Jung, I would have not finished it :)

Did not watch till the end . I liked the Role of Song Jae Rim the actor was very good actor- he should get the girl- . Kim you Jung was good but no ambition shown -after studying she wanted to do a cleaning job because of the guy- that is dumb. Kim’s and Song’s - chemistry was much better - it fit her personality and background more. I dont understand why is every K drama surrounded around Ultra Rich guys- Hero is rich the Heroine is from a low background. There is life in between too. More to the main stream. Didnt see the end - the plot was weak one could see from the beginning she would marry the Rich Guy. Sorry . We need better dramas I

Although they didn't work together for this drama in 2018, they eventually met and worked together in 2021 for The Lovers of Red Sky. What a coincidence!

From episode 13 on the story becomes so boring. Everyone blames the male lead for his grandpa's mistakes and he takes that. I cannot empathize with the the female lead at all, she's dull and always looks uncomfortable around the male lead, her motivation is so weak. And let's talk about her lying issue? She lies to everyone all the time, that girl seriously needs therapy. And such a weak romance, they get together literally at the last 5 minutes. I don't buy that couple. Honestly I'd love the male lead to date the doctor. They looks great together and have tons of chemistry!!

Is not fun watch someone Who did nothing wrong working his ass off to be with her. The accident scene was pain!!! She heards that he is in hospital and say "oh, I cant go. I cant be with him". In a good drama de f protagonist will run tô the hospital asap!!! Is a ok drama with a Really bad ending

Now grown up she always make her leading male look so manly man and look good. The casting is great, all my favorites seen them in other dramas and they are wonderful. Love Yoon Gyun Sang always a bold and his acting character are always perfect. Love to see actors and actress enjoy working and having fun. Thank all staff and crew for your hard work.

They legit blamed him for something he had no qualms in, made him feel bad about himself and basically labeled him an outcast all while supposedly missing and being in love with him?!?? I don’t like the treatment towards him especially since he was so willing to do anything to reconcile with her. I just felt he was dealt with unfairly.

An ideal drama that is not geared towards a "final outcome", but sheds light on the processes involved in people functioning with each other. And needless to say, Kim You-Jung is so sweet it just melts your heart. The best type of Korean drama!

Great performances, strong acting of the leads, great chemistry too. I love the 2 lead actors, both, Yoon Gyun Sang and Kim You Jung, both my favourites, i just love their way of acting, i simply love them for their confident and natural acting. Watch this series, you will not regret it!

Not a fan of Yoon Gyun Sang but I was taken by surprise again, on his acting, apart from the height :D Simple yet superb storyline & dialogues. Just how romcom should be. Great job to all casts!

Nakedlady Jul 22 2021 12:38 am I am beginning to wonder if I am watching these Kdramas properly. I got the impresion that the writers and director got bored by about episode 13 on and just gave up. The female lead betraying the male lead and joining forces with the grandfather, traitor secretary and the quack doctor was hard to stomach. Blaming him for all their woes even while saying it was not his fault. Staying by his side while in hospital in a coma then abondoning him without a reason was hard to understand. Then belated running after him when he was flyng out. missing him then going back to her position of martyr lost her even more sympathy and continueing to push him away.Then comes the final episode where the whining father and waste oofspace brother dcide after two yers they will forgive and forget and big heartedly give Oh Sol permission to go back to the man she claims she has deeply loved for the last two years and more. In the final seven or so minutes of the series she runs to him throws herself at him. big kiss, all is forgiven, end of series but wher wsa the heartfelt begging for forgiveness. the recognition of the pain and anquish causeed to someone she says was without blame. Maybe I am taking it all to seriously.

Im not into typical romcom that much but their chemistry and acting made me a hard fan . And Yoon kyun-sang and yoo jung both gave their full to this characters . Its so amazing .

Everything about this drama was amazing; cast, ost and most parts of the plot. for me both Yoon Gyun-Sang and Kim You-Jung (we are the same age; had to give her a quick follow on the gram) were outstanding; everyone fell in love with them. However for me Yoo-Sun was oustanding; she played her role to perfection and needs more recognition.

cant lie; ep 14 -15 were too extra for me; especially all the unnecessary romance and cringe meter hit over 1000. with that being said i was more than satisfied with the ending; thoroughly enjoyed it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

However, from the very beginning it was totally stupid to me that she would choose the immature, selfish CEO over the mature and kind doctor who cared for her. Unfortunately Song Jae-Rim was just more attractive and also a more likable character. For me, that ruined it...Yoon Gyun-Sang just isn't appealing enough to make her attraction make sense. Just my opinion! Many better dramas.

Even if it wasn't perfect, it was exactly what I need: funny, sweet, simple, that kind of drama that makes me smile like an idiot. A beautiful story to enjoy and learn. I watch KYJ as a kid in her previous drama series, but in this drama you can see her as an adult with lots of lovey dovey stuff with the lead man. I'm also surprised that the guy is way much older than KYJ. The love story line can be comparable to the drama what's wrong secretary kim.

I loved Yoo Jung since LITM and have been waiting for her comeback drama. Her acting in this drama has exceeded my expectations. I felt that she has matured by the way she acts & she's very comfortable in this role as OSol. YJ & KS chemistry is like fireworks. They are destined to act together in this drama. Your kisses light up the screen and seriously, who can kiss like them? They set the bar up high that no other actors & actresses can emulate. They kiss sensually with sweet pecks with deep hugs and not forgetting gazing lovingly at each other in between kisses. Swoon!!! Yoon Kyun Sang - don't you dare lose weight. You look perfectly fine. Pairing her up with a 32yr old is too much. She already had 2 mental breakdowns and I worry she'll become like Lindsey Lohan or other problematic child stars.

I slept 3 hours because I liked the previous episodes so much and then I regret even watching this drama because of how mean the girl's family is. CEO Jang had nothing to do with the accident (exept that he's the grandson of the CEO of AG Group) yet they kept holding a grudge against him. The girl is also really slow witted tbh. I liked that but in the last episodes her behavior just pissed me off. The real one in the drama was the doctor.

Kimmy Mar 23 2019 6:30 pm The first epsisodes had me laughing and loving it so much..but then afterwards the show started dragging with the leads playing hide and seek with their feelings..i mean,its like they didnt take their feelings for each other seriously at all then how are we supposed to..they dragged their romance and thats when i realised that nothing happens in this show,infact this story didnt even require 16episodes perhaps 8 would have been enough..but it wasnt that bad,they have a great chemistry and the two leads acted their parts well..the lead guy Ceo guy was probably the most funniest male lead i have seen and he was adorable..the one who stole my heart though is Song Jae Rim 's character,he acted so well and he was just so amazing i loved every scene he was in..and as i watched i realised that if i was the lead girl,i would have chosen him..i mean some of us girls actually want a guy who is fun to be with ,whom we can open up and is always there for us as song jae rim was for Gil o sol..to be honest..that being said she looked great with both of the guys..i would give this show a 7 because though it draggs and the story and romance didnt feel so urgent and great,it still had some fun moments

You may not know some of the characters but yah, just comment here someday if you'll fall in love with them completely. It's definitely worth the time! And the actors are really handsome ;)

Bunnyarmy Mar 17 2019 12:31 am This is the best romance drama for 2018/2019 for me.Plot may have some errors specially its hard to adapt funny mangas to real but its most perfect chemistry I watched in a kdrama because it looks so real.Im watching kdramas since 2010 lately I didnt much good romance dramas so I watched other genres & I dont like drams with too much kiss scenes,but this was amazing specially later spisodes ,their romantic scenes are very passionate,but lovely with respect unlike many other toolustful drama scenes,they are so cordinated.you can watch their videos in youtube.First episodes are funny later are romantic.These drama both leads has their own imperfections but they conquire all .Their love is so pure,passonaite & lovely .I like these lead characters as they are not typical shy female & arrogant bad boy type male. First I thought as most can this 2 bring an lovely chemistry due to their age gap but I was wrong their chemistry is unbelievable & Im sure most women will fall for this amazing leads not just because his looks,great acting but also his caringness.All other acters did well too.Its drama that give you positivity,laugh,love but also some social lessons too.

honest opinion on this drama Mar 15 2019 3:35 am this is my personal opinion on this drama, so i hope it helps you if you're wondering whether to watch it or not.

personally i'll rate this drama 6/10. i have to admit that at some parts it was really funny and i had a good laugh but most of the time i'm skipping this drama because it was kinda boring. the storyline was typical and different from what i expected so i guess that's why im disappointed on this drama & decided to skip and watch it. ( i rarely skip dramas unless i feel like its boring )

i know some of y'all would think if it was boring then why did i watch it, i should've just drop the drama. like i said, some parts of the story were amazing and super funny so i enjoyed only those parts.

moving on to the characters, i think that all the actors did a great job in expressing the characters but for me it's just the storyline that's not attractive enough to enjoy it, it was too typical. as for the romance part, maybe im the only one feeling this but tbh i don feel any chemistry between the male and female lead. i literally skipped all the part about their romance because its so boring & i dont enjoy it. their romance part just doesn't make me fall inlove with them like the couples from drama such as are you human too, im not a robot, weightlifting fairy kim bok joo, strong woman do bong soon etc.

Their chemistry is sooo cute! Amidst their age gap, it doesn't affect me at all! Their acting is great and natural along with all the actors. Our family were so addicted with Clean With Passion For Now! We enjoyed watching until the last episode! Super satisfied and happy with the ending! Congratulations to all the actors, directors and the scriptwriters!

Gonna miss the Cleaning Fairy family and the Gil family. They got an amazing chemistry on set and off set and that makes me happy as I get to see them enjoy themselves.

His a great actor and he put all his heart and emotions into it, I really liked it. And the actress will she’s the best, loved her seen her childhood roles, she really is a great actress.

Fan 95 Feb 05 2019 7:52 am This is a great drama which give us some good life lessons .I love main leads too much they have the best chemistry onscreen & offscreen .Korean ratings may not good much but internationally &online itwas no one.First time I saw a couple who protrayed every scene so real,always smiling in their kisses not like actress is forced like kisses,they protrayed emotions so well those scenes were passionate,cute,full of respect all the time. I think yoonkyungsan nailed this role , from comical ,emotional sad,lonely,romantic, everyway.At first I too worried do they have chemistry with this 12 year age gap.But I was too wrong they nailed it their bts was so sweet & anyone can see how must they trust & adore eachother .YKS was always gentle & took care of KYJ. .Even the anime guy has a great built compared to girl so why not he has a good built ,he is bit chubby but very cute,his chubby cheeks ,,height & always he is manly are extras to attract to him desphis good acting.Its pretty some bodyshame him but he is so handsome & every girls idol sweet lover type & great actor . YooJung too nail the role & love them they ll be my forever favorite on & offscreen couple ❤

And how their eyes spoke when they met in episode 15 was really 'saying without words' cool actings. Great for you two guys. Hope you get good drama after this one end. joy_shuyun Feb 01 2019 10:16 pm I’ve been watching kdrama for a long time now, many couple actor captured my heart but CWPFN is best among the best. the story is for those person that love heart warming story just like me. the chemistry of Yoon Kuun ang and Kim Yoo Jung is on top, i was a BoYoo couple fan before but now watching this two sweet couple on and offscreen makes me conclude that they have mutual feelings and attracted to each other or they developed love while filming the drama that their actions and eyes won’t lie.. lastly, age doesn’t matter when it comes to love, 12 years of gap is just fine ? i wish they could be a real in time ?

It started out as a comedy, also for some funny verses, then it took a kissings path to the limit of the rated forbidden, in which the female main really showed her young age and was lifted by a giant of two meters and with almost twice the age. Suitable for fans who believe this is a likely pair, or fans who like to see only many kisses, but to whom the acting and plot development not interest

They should have kept the focus on CEO's mysophobia and healing it through his interactions with the female lead. Instead, the writer couldn't resist an over the top plot twist that often ruins Kdramas and now we have to spend the rest of series sitting through this ridiculous storyline that was suddenly introduced and not properly explained at all. All it accomplished was me feeling bad for the CEO and disliking everyone else.

It might be the age gap, it might be something else. On top of that, the plot is so clichéd that I couldn’t believe this was a JTBC drama - and right after “The Beauty Inside” for that matter. At this day and age, this is very whatever and meh, and I think every single actor and actress here has done better than and deserves better than meh.

Now I'm loving this drama. Sun kyeol character is so funny lol. And yoojung just getting better with her Oh Sol.

Of course it's not flawles; the dialog sometimes boring, like the usual cheap romcom ones. And yoojung-ie still need to improve her acting more.

But overall, it's entertaining. It's funny, it's touching, it's romantic, and the chemistry just get even better.

Can't believe times flied so fast and now, she turned into more beautiful girl. First, I really can't concur she pairing with YGS because he's big size and older. But I was wrong, the plots and her acting are amazing make everything turned into wonderful drama. Laugh in every episode and I still think her characters is abit childish and playful as drunkard. I just wish she become feminist in later episodes.

wwe Dec 09 2018 10:42 am i really like this show, it has alot of comedy and mixed-chemistry everywhere. its family orientated and strict work ethics that can be abit "too" harsh at times! Acting is typical kdrama, storyline is a polar opposite rom-com, main actor/tress played their character well with quite a good support. So far theres no side storys that might drag the drama out to the point your twitching your fingers on the FF button. This rom-com doesnt itch me enough to beg for the next episode...but unless something changes to the rest of the story, im just gonna treat it as an adult version of "I can not hug you" drama.

Kim Yoojung's acting was undoubtedly great! she was so beautiful in any angles! like literally.. no matter how messy, she still looked amazingly beautiful! i read the webtoon but it was really different with the drama... both were good but i prefer the drama more.... as for the Male lead, YKS was doing great job potraying the clean freak Jang Sun Kyul and oh God, can we get more Choi gun-Ohsol interaction, theyre so cute lol

Looking forward to this. For these few months, Rarely do i watch & finish watching all of the k-dramas’ episodes for this year except for a few. Among those- mr ahjussi & mr sunshine (a little heavy but truly good & exceptional)... i’m truly waiting for a nice & warm rom-com for a change & hoping it won’t be just a silly, slapstick comedy with boring plots.... let’s hope this will be different... Also, I'm glad he got the role in Still 17 than this one because he really shone there but I'm still hoping for a lead role for him this year. I also cannot see any chemistry between him and Youjung even just by looking at the pictures (but I still can't tell since I haven't seen them together yet lol). But to be fair with Gyunsang, even if he is a lot older than Youjung, seeing their pictures side by side makes a little spark and I actually like seeing big guys like him being paired with petite girls like Youjung so why not? ^^

When I saw the cast too, I was surprised not only bcos of their age gap, age gap doesn't count in Korea, and any Kdrama fans should know that by now, but bcos I want someone more matured and more with strong acting skills to be paired with him, he is too good ......but seeing how kim yoo jung pull off "moonlight lovers" well, she should be able to match up with him and kyunsang is someone who has varieties of acting skill and can pull any role well......

And about appearance, I personally like kyunsang physique, first time seeing an handsome Korean actor without their slim over diet appearance, any appearance can go with the drama if the artist can pull off the role well with a great chemistry, as long as the female is not the one taller than the male.....

We should just wait and keep anticipating

In Korea, age doesn't matter in dramas especially if the guy is older than the girl. Also, KYJ's acting style is kind of strong and powerful so I think paring her with someone who has that same powerful presence in the screen is better so they won't overshadow each other.

PLUS, YGS is a versatile actor who can create a chemistry with very much everyone (including his cats and some fish and crabs) whether they are older or younger. If you have watched his acting in Faith, Six Flying Dragons, Doctors, Rebel, and Doubtful Victory, you will definitely agree. For those who don't know Gyun Sang though, such a pity, you missed to know one of the best actors of his generation.

She got several roles offered to her since last year but she chose this so I trust her decisions in choosing projects. When Ahn Hyo Seop announced that he is the leading man, I am quite satisfied because Yoojung and Hyoseop's age range is not that far, it will be comfortable to imagine them on screen together, visually they are compatible with their webcomic characters & the height difference will be so cute. He is a rookie actor some are skeptical with him being the lead but I've read that he got tough competition & he was chosen so I trust that statement that they chose Hyoseop because he is worthy for the role and I hope we give him the chance. As for Song Jae Rim, netizens are critical abt the age gap between him & Yoojung if there will be a possible love triangle but his character is an original for the drama adaptation and I hope his character won't be the cliche second lead type and hoping it has dynamics so that some won't have any issues with it. Jaerim could accept other lead offered roles for him but he chose those, maybe he likes the script? he likes working with his possible cast? or likes working with the director & prod. staff, so who knows but him being offered for this role which means he is the only one capable of bringing it to the small screen. I read the webcomic of this and it's going to be fun. It has a comical aspect with a slice of drama and of course romance. If you read the initial synopsis it's cliche but the webcomic has more depth & development to its character's story so I hope the drama shows that. I am excited to see Kim Yoo Jung and Ahn Hyo Seop's chemistry as well as the synergy of the cast. JTBC have a good line up of dramas this year so I wish this drama success!

Plus song jae rim is so old T_T I hope he isn't second lead, maybe a teacher or something, I just hope he stays away with Kim Yoo Jung or else I can't watch it. I also remember how some of his fans bash his co-star kim so eun and claim she is only using him for popularity ha! Be careful of them kim yoo jung and ahm hyo seop fans.

Clean Jan 23 2018 10:55 am There was a lot of people who criticized Saeron & Sohyun being paired up with guys 10+ years older than them. Lol even now, I've also seen people not liking Doojoon for Sohyun. Sheez people need to chill. Nothing's wrong with it. The important thing is for them to work comfortably and do well with their acting and chemistry. Look, Saeron and YSY was cute together, Sohyun and Taecyeon was good too. Even other stars out there like Kim Go Eun & Gong Yoo and more did well with their chemistry too. It's not like they will fall in love with each other. They will just act -_- Please complaining about the casting of SJR just because he's a lot older than KYJ. If you don't like it, then don't watch the drama. And FYI, he's a really great actor!

Although his age is now an adult category. Originally, I thought the character of Gil O- Sol was suitable for Moon Chae Won or Lee Se Young (if the director or writer wanted a young actress). Moon chae won once played a messy and disheartening female character to herself, while Lee se young has never been but I think she will be very good for Gil O- sol character. This will be Lee se young second debut as the female lead in the drama.It's still the search stage, i hope the director can choose carefully.
