Joo Il-Woo (Jin Young) and Joo Wol-Woo (Jin Young) are identical twin brothers. On the morning of Christmas, Joo Wol-Woo is found dead. His death is classified as an accidental death, but Joo Il-Woo is unable to accept the finding. He decides to take revenge on whoever is responsible for his brother's death. Joo Il-Woo has one clue about his brother's death. He heard a background voice when he last talked to his brother on a phone call. To find the culprit, Joo Il-Woo intentionally gets placed into the juvenile detention center.

I specially admire Park Jinyoung because he could portrait anger, desesperation, sadness, neurodivergence, etc. I wouldn't watch this movie again because is so hard to swallow, the topics that this movie portraits are such that you don't want to think that exist in this awful world, i cried so hard during the movie and in the end because everthing is so messed up and there's no justice aaaaa!!!!, but it is a good movie.

The two Baeksang Awards that he won really proved critics and audiences love and appreciate his acting skills. Just all around an amazing actor.

one thing for sure is I can't watch this movie for a 2nd time ever, because it was too impactful, I felt shattered for days But watching it once is a must... for the actors who put so much of hard work to bring this piece to us

The story covers a very sensitive topic and all the actors absolutely nailed it Park Jinyoung (Main lead) ,playing the role of twins, did so much justice to each character ... like if I didn't knew he just one person I would have surely thought they brought twins for the movie

The villain, will not mention the name to avoid spoilers, did such a great job ... like I was disgusted with his existence by the end And that's exactly what a good actor playing villain should bring to a show

By the end of it I was sobbing And its not just characters I was feeling broken about, the actors who had to feel these emotions to bring them to the screen Needed to hug everyone after that Thankyou for working so hard Actors I hope all of u go to great places in ur life

Tats Jan 19 2023 11:15 am I watched this because of Jin Young. I thought it was going to be a badass drama about revenge with a lot of cool fighting scenes but I'm utterly disappointed. At some point in the movie I laughed to myself, thinking, "The script must be filled only with Shibal Shibaloma Saekkiyaa" ㅋㅋㅋ

One word for this movie : BooOoRing.

I tell you, don't. Don't watch this. I swear you have better things to do, wether watching Running man, looking up why's plankton has only one eye, searching for fbi's phone number to find your dad's whereabouts and if you find your dad, maybe help me to find mine too :D anything, anything is better than watching this :"D

If only I can get back my 2 long hours of pure torture :'

Erik Schweitzer Jan 15 2023 11:48 am I’m German and watched that movie rather coincidentally in Bangkok. I’m not surprised about the controversial opinions here. Because on the one hand this piece is painful, definitely. But it’s the violence that hurts, the outright classical drama that unfolds, with all its bitter twists. And it has its flaws, certainly. On the other hand the acting is brilliant, the shots and the timing are precise. Call me dumb, but I didn’t notice the twins being played by the same actor. Respect! And all in all a recommendation.

These escapist fantasies, starring Park Jin Young, a member of the South Korean screeching Boy Band “GOT7” (seriously, THEY’re so camp, effeminate, incoherent, over-the-top, actually pretentious, absolutely preposterous, genuinely bonkers, and unintentionally silly!), came out like a house of “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance” hype on fire. It landed with a thud, because audiences discovered that for 2 hours and 11 minutes almost nothing actually happens. You have more than enough time to gawk at the groin in Jin Young’s jeans, which reveal an oversize holes nearly as bare as the script.

From an unexpectedly hilariously disgusting moving first act, as Joo Il-Woo (Park Jin Young in one weirdly hairstyle) and Joo Wol-Woo (Park Jin Young in one lifeless performance evolution too far) all-gobbledegook natter at each other, to an impassioned speech full of worn-out old clichés about an impending autopsy for reasons which the juvenile facility teacher Jo Soon-woo (Kim Young-Min) delivered, that entirely elude the audience, the film can’t seem to make up its mind what it’s about.

It featured Park Jin Young’s character, Joo Il-Woo, brawling wantonly with numerous wardens of correctional facility at a Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) bathhouse, where all of them were naked. There was no editing of any sort except for their pelvic areas, which was computer-generated imagery.

Because of this, The Korea Media Rating Board forced Kim Sung-Su to recut the film for its theatrical release, objecting to its scene of sexual violence. Seven cuts were made with the total runtime of removed material between eighty and ninety seconds. The Korea Media Rating Board thus applied the most restrictive rating 19+, known in Korea as "제한상영가, for violent content. The movie was re-edited and submitted for the 3rd time to the Korea Media Rating Board. The Korea Media Rating Board again applied the most restrictive 19+ rating (제한상영가). The film received a "Restricted" rating thrice, preventing any sort of release in theatres or on home video and promotions as well. The movie was then re-edited and submitted for the fourth time to the Korea Media Rating Board. The final submission to the Korea Media Rating Board contained a total twelve minutes thirty seconds cut from the first submitted version. The Korea Media Rating Board applied the less restrictive "teenager restricted (18+)" rating. The production company then edited a total of eleven more scenes in fear of inspiring copy cat crimes. The most restrictive 19+ rating (제한상영가) would have severely limited the release in Korea because no theatres currently exist to show such films.

The script originally called for male full frontal nudity, but Park Jin Young changed his mind after the scenes had been shot.

Yet where the word mean suggests an element of malice, we like to think that this particular occasion for insult and invective isn’t really about us. It’s about movie that was, in fact, so bad that it almost challenged us to describe all the ways it went so wrong. If you think we’re mean, then so be it. We’d like to think we’re just accurate.

After kim gaon and kang isaac, now joo ilwoo and joo wolwoo, and wolwoo was a kid with mental disability... I hope this movie will air overseas, not just korea
