Background of the drama series is at a high school cheerleading club. "From Now On, Cheer Up" depicts the friendships and loves of youths, while dealing with a harsh educational environment that emphasizes competition.

The fact that they were able to integrate all different aspects of an 18-year-old in only 12 episodes is the amazing. This drama is the best of all the times.

Vi Jul 06 2018 10:53 am Am I the only one annoyed with the MC being so "righteous". Yeah sure it's good that she's persistent and fighting for her club. But then she let herself get slapped by the antagonist for saving the antagonist's ass. Why even save her? Bc she's MC and she has to be too perfect and too kind for her own sake? Please. There's a difference b/n being kind and being stupid. Her weakness when it comes to confrontation really turns me off. When will we see an MC who's not afraid to get her hands dirty once in a while. The deed wasn't even that bad compared to what the antagonist did. Kdrama's heroines need to grow some and stop being too dependent on the leading man. Also, what's with the BFF? Why is he being okay with the antagonist after doing that to his bestfriend? The show plays a playful tone whenever he meets the antagonist and the guy get a stupid look on his face. Like wtf??? Are you really trying pair 'em up? Ugh. I would've dropped this so hard if not for the cute leading man.

Their bond of friendship and love towards each other gives me realizations on many aspects. I really hope there will be more drama like this in the future^^ It gives the younger generations like me a very good lessons.

It's such a beautiful show, the one thing you'll get mad with is the adults because their all snakes (except the two teachers) but the show revolves around friendships and fighting your innermost problems/demons!

10/10, you'll feel sad when it ends but it's amazing story with great actors! You won't regret watching it :)

Its not the typical school drama that you see where it revolves around love stories, this drama focusses more on friendship and i think that's what make the drama so great. Pls watch it, i guarantee you that you will not regret watching this drama ;)

I mean, he and eunji suppose to be enemy and I know they become in love is a cheesy thing but... how could someone not fall in love with kim yeol when everytime he shows up, he always throws that beautiful and oh-so-cute eye smile.

I like the plot. though there's nothing really special about it (what do you expect from a high school themed kdrama, anyway), but it's just toooo likeable. I love how this drama brings up educational problem and blend it with the other school life aspect. kang yong do is indeed a lovable character. her friend, ha dongjae is also funny. I like his blank expression whenever he talks. and he even dancing with that poker face. seeing him always cracks me up. too bad that it has to be shortened into 12 eps only. It really entertaining for me.

They loved each other so much and with both Yeon Do and Kim Yeol could accept their relationship, it was the best:D And that was also the reason why Kim Yeol asked his father to adopt him so the parents could get married. This drama has been one of the most enjoyable and beautiful school-themed dramas i've ever seen and to watch Jung Eun Ji and Lee Won Geun play as leads in this drama, it was crazily nice(chemistry was on-point) . Love Jung Eun Ji's and Lee Won Geun's decent acting and also Chae Soo Bin,waah you're freaking good playing antogonist in here. I saw her first in House Of Bluebird which was a really bice show btw but i never thought such sweet innocent girl in like her could play an antogonist role as good as that.. Those three and also Ji Soo will go really far in the industry:D

He just captured my attention i wont lie kim yeol and ha joon are freakin cute/hot. There bromance was so heart warming. Its cute that they stick together no matter what! #BestFriendGoals I loved them/ their characters were adorable. Yes this drama had a lot of cute guy and there were pretty girls. BUT DongJae is my style. I don't why but he gives me this warm feeling inside. Even though he couldn't do much his words speak louder than his actions. Dongjae saranghae ^^

Though it didn't have high ratings, it was still really popular internationally. But the low ratings were mostly due to the students in korea having their exams :( The broadcasting chose the wrong time to air this drama. If they aired it after the exam period, I'm sure it would have been a great hit!! One of my fav dramas so far!! Sassy Go Go!!

         Why watch? . .  .well if you are a girl, then 3 reasons are enough. First, the cute and handsome best friend ha dong jae, the drop dead gorgeous seo ha joon and the cute romantic and handsome kim yeol. but if you're like me who just want to experience good dramas out there, you should watch this one because this is damn crazy good.  . . . better than who are you: school 2015. this is absolutely one of my top 10 korean dramas this year.

I was like 'ha?' when I heard it only 12 episodes. well I love kim yeol because he is so cool ahahahahah</3 I envy eunji on that drama, she's so cheerful:') alsoooo I love yeol and yeondoo, soo ah and haddong, yeon doo's mom and yeol's dad too (but until now i'm still thinking that how is yeondoo and yeol relationship, are they become family or become spouse lol) but all of the main story I LOVE THEIR FRIENDSHIP AH <3 I cried a lot on episode 10 and I cried more on the final episode. When the episodes ended it made me errr just thought like 'oh no my world already end i'll miss this drama so much' yea i'm so sad even it has become happy ending. I miss cheer up</3 need more episodess

When I was watching in the middle of this drama, I thought 12 episodes were too short to wrap up the issues among the kids. But after watching the finale, i was convinced that 12 episodes were just perfect for this drama. Although I felt extremely sad for not seeing Kim Yeol anymore, but I believe it was just right on the spot. I like how the writer did not speed up the time and show 5 years after or so to show how the kids become after their highschool unforgettable experience. I like how the writer preserve the thought of the those kids as a highschool student until the very last episode.That makes this kdrama different from the others. As for all the kids, they did an awesome job for playing their characters well. I was surprised because I didnt expect that those cutie pies (Yeol and hajoon) can act very well. As for Eun Ji, as expected she delivers. I really like her since Repply 1997. And Soo Bin, she not only a star with beautiful face but with pure talent!! Hello Korea, Meet the next big thing. Go kids! Im rooting for all of you! Goodjob!!

adora Nov 12 2015 10:46 am Perhaps a very good short drama to help fill the voids when trying to find good dramas to watch. I honestly really enjoyed this drama! Main lead girl Yeon-Doo portrayed her role amazingly and Kim Yeol was so super adorbs I literally fell in love with him. His smile was so gut-wrechingly cute and now he is my absolute bias! ^_^ Ha-Joon (whom I fell in love with in Angry Mom) was absolutely over-the-top GREAT ACTING. He needs to go very far because he definitely sells his acting to his audience!

I love Kim Yeol and Ha Joon's bond. Thye protect and love each other so much. Brotherhood and friendship is definitely protrayed in this drama. My only complaint is the final cheer competition part - kind of weak I mean I know none of them are pro cheerleaders but they could have prepared better for the performance. I wish that part would have blown me away but it didn't. :(

Lastly, forgiving Soo-Wan was hard but I'm glad her friends did. :)

I also learned that we need to be happy as long as we lived and just enjoy everything that comes in your lifetime. Wow the actors/actresses are all so awesome. So thats all. I hope there's more and i'm looking for sassy gogo 2. With the same actor/actresses. I'm really gonna miss this show. Fighting!

I desperately want to see Eunji, Ji Soo, and Lee Won Geun in another romcom. seriously, they have great chemistry together!

Yeah, it's not realistic, that's why it is called a drama, not all dramas are realistic though. They make dramas to keep us entertained. :) There may be flaws in this making this drama but still you can't deny how much supporters it has. Don't be a critic and just watch to have fun ;)

Preferential treatment for kids from rich families (especially those who donate to the school) and parental pressure to do well always seem to be a problem. Is it really as bad as most kdramas portray? Anyway, enjoying the drama and looking forward to see how they do in the cheerleading competition.

The first two episodes are incoherent, inconsistent, very dragged. I found myself skimming over majority of the scenes. Eunji as always is joy on screen, but even she cannot save this show from spiraling into incoherent mediocre world of overdramatics.

Chaebol Nov 06 2015 4:41 am In the beginning (first 2 ep's) I felt really bored with those teachers, the color of the drama and also the feeling of the similarities between this drama and Dream High 1 ( Kang Yeon Do reminds me of Suzy= Ko Hyemi ) that's why I was just like "ohhh noooo why do they copy dream high...???" But as I watched some ep's further, I totally got addicted to that drama! I worried with the actors and felt happy. This drama touched my heart! Also, Kang Yeon Do, her actions are not like in most dramas "you hit me, I hit you too" she doesn't answer with a revenge, no, she is angry, but she'd never do something to hurt somebody, although she gets hurt by Soo-A. What I want to say is (and that's the main part) THIS DRAMA IS WORTH WATCHING IT!!! WATCH THIS DRAMA YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!! Maybe the first 2 ep's are hard to watch but guys.... Honestly this drama is a really NICE ONE DORAMA!!! Wooooooo PARTYYYY!!! Ok... Enough of it, let's not be weird '-'.... Nah, honestly you get such a nice peaceful feeling after watching the romance between the main characters~~~ Aigoo~~~~~ too nice ^.^!!

I'm kinda new to the cast (tho I knew Eunji by name). A lot are giving positive reviews on this drama so I gave it a try. And I never regret it!! It gave me School 2013 feels (maybe because of that same principal lol). Now, I am getting worried abt what will happen along with the four episodes left. It saddens me that maybe, just maybe, the story will leave them still in the high school age. Like I want the two to end up together even after graduating, and maybe their parents too. You know, like a futuristic ending. But with four episodes left, I really don't know what to expect and I'm getting anxious over this thing. I am still hoping this gets extended as I love the series so much, but oh my Venus is already settled for November 16. And its ratings is not good in Korea too. Ugh!! I won't trust ratings anymore! The show is too good to receive such ratings. Anyway, let's (international viewers) keep supporting this series!!!! 화이팅!!!

eo Oct 31 2015 5:02 pm the reason i saw this drama because i've been waiting fo won geun drama since his role in the moon, and eunji actually because of her incredibles acting, when the 1st episode of this drama airing, i really, really ship yeon doo and kim yeol, both have a great chemistry, but since ha joon took a long shoot on the screen, my direction stuck in him, and i got mad everytime i saw him with kang yeon do together.. Ji Soo has a soft voice and gaze since yeol always showing a face that makes you happy.. i hope in the future ji soo can get another roles than being tragic like his last drama,

I like vixx's N as well, he did a great job in this, he reminds somehow of kimsohyun in producers. as for the girls, they're both great. i am not a fan of jung eunji as an idol but she still a great actress. Overall this drama is very good and addictive (the kind of dramas you can watch in 1 night) love it

The fact that Ha Joon, without even giving it a second thought grabbed the bike and rode to her rescue, is soo much more than what Kim Yeol did. To me that shows how deep Ha Joon feels for Yeon Doo. Plus, Kim Yeol's dad is in love with Yeon Doo's mother, that should be given a chance. Ha Joon needs a girl with a strong personality like Yeon Doo. Well, that is what I would like to see happen, but Yeon Doo and Kim Yeol with probably end up together (not too bad either, just rooting a little more for Ha Joon and Yeon Doo). Anyways, this is a good drama.

I'd definitely recommend this, as of right now. I've only watched ep 8 and I must say that the episodes just keeps getting better. Hopefully, it will continue on until the ending.

The chemistry between Yeol and Yeon Doo is really strong and the transition of their relationship is very very natural. I also like Ha Joon for Yeon Doo. Ugh I'm so torn between the two guys. Both of them are so good and it wouldn't really matter who ends up with Yeon Doo.

Every episode so far has stabbed me in the heart, and I have cried numerous times. Everything is relatable. I love every single character...even the evil ones. The cast is phenomenal, and everyone fits their perspective roles. I know the storyline sounds odd...(cheerleaders lol) but I promise that this drama is worth watching. This is like School 2013 (bromance) AND includes romance.

Believe it or not, people who don't speak korean are also huge supporters of kdramas. I mean I pretty much watch ONLY kdramas. They're clean and fun and not overly cheesy. Unlike American shows....where I feel awkward at times. So, basically I would LOVE some more cheer up! 16 episodes sounds good to me. And can we have some more of ji soo???? He is the best:))) Hope the # of episodes goes up!!!

I really really hope Korean's notice this drama and start watching it. The ratings need to go up! I'm loving this show and it's way too underrated. If this was airing on my cable I would be glued to the television! Seriously South Korea, what do you do on mondays and tuesdays? Even 'I Remember You' got NR for the whole season, and that drama was so bloody good. I can't even! I am a 'She Was Pretty' fan and I highly recommend this drama if you watch that as well.

Make it 16 episodes? please?????

Anyway loving the plot, loving the actors, loving the progress, loving the chemistry [damn, there are sparks flying everywhere!], and loving the whole drama! Can't wait for another update, episode 7 please come soon! >_<

A must see drama, one of the so many reasons to watch this drama: The hero (Lee Won-Geun) is darn handsome and that smile is <3_<3 The heroine (Eun Ji) may be outcasted but she doesn't let herself back down. The villain is also good. Plus the chemistry of Eunji & Won Geun is tickling me.

So, What I like in this drama especially Yeon Do and Kim Seol couple, please give them more romantic scene.. rather than 12, I hope to see them for 16 episodes like dream high or other school drama..

andy Oct 11 2015 2:16 pm Oh hell! I just realised that this drama has only 12 episodes. I hope the writer does not rush the ending and keeps the pace, just like the first two episodes that i absolutely loved!

This drama gives me the [Hollywood movie series] 'Bring It On" vibe. I loved those movies and I hope this lives up to my expectation too. It also vaguely gives me the "Who Are You: School 2015" vibe, especially the uniforms, the school rules and the school campus part; and Kim Ji-Suk's character reminds me of Lee Pil-Mo's character here (they both play good teachers). What's more, I love both of them!

I liked Eun Ji in Reply 1997. She's cute and funny and I'm liking her here as well. Lee Won Geun is cute too! And his cocky character here is just too irresistible for me. I like Ji Soo's character too. He is so realistic, the tortured soul type that one can immediately relate to. Chae Soo Bin plays her character so well. she has potential, really. And even Cha Hak Yeon is pretty cool. I hope to see more of him. I like Soo A and Dong Jae's interaction too.

I can't wait for the next episode. I really really hope this drama lives up to my expectations and blows my mind! Best of luck for the cast and crew and the writer. Fighting!

May be, may be Dong Jae and Soo Ah will also become close friends (she has mother problems and he has a past). May be Kim Yeol is adopted son, that way Yeon Doo's mom and Kim Yeol's dad can become close? Of course they will win cheer leading competition, with just 2 months training. There will be some more close-class of near kisses and misses. Principal will be caught and education dept will final realize her corrupt nature. Thats all i can think of now! But I am still going to enjoy seeing Won Geun smile (my heart flutters everytime I see his face and he is a decade younger than me) and Eun ji pranks (she is cute, isn't she?)

One thing I hope from this drama that its not a light-hearted school romance- comedy, but instead something like "who are you 2015". EunJi, on the other hand, has had a few lead roles (and she's been on network before). I don't know if their acting is any good, so I'm not going to judge them for that, but EunJi has proven that she can perform well even with an awful script (Trot Lovers). Also, your "Ew" comment was extremely superficial and immature - let's judge on acting ability, not who your "bias" is or if you think she "doesn't suit her fringe."

I am personally super excited to see Ji Soo in a role again - hopefully his character isn't just a bit role, and he'll be able to give another great, emotionally charged performance! :)

Then he was underused in 'HJ&M', though not fault of him cause the writing of that drama underused almost all the cast. BUT super love him in Wild Chives and Soy Bean Soup. I think his character in this new drama would be the sams as the 1 he so adorably and aptly did in WC&SBS. Excited!
