The Mitarai family are wealthy and they have run a hospital for generations. One day, their home burns down in a fire. 13 years later, Anzu Murata (Mei Nagano), from a housekeeper agency, is hired by Makiko Mitarai (Kyoka Suzuki). She is the second wife of Osamu Mitarai. Anzu Murata soon begins to work at the Mitarai's home as a housekeeper. She has a secret purpose to work in their home.

Lisa Nov 11 2023 5:05 pm I enjoyed this drama - it kept me attention and finally a Jdrama that has a decent ending (as I'm still traumatized from the ending of Even if You Don't Do It). There was an enough intrigue to keep you interested.

Jdorasuki Sep 04 2023 7:59 am Sorry for my anguish.im a big fan of Jdrama ..but here lost it even at 2x speed...What a waste of time no where near suspense or thriller....it had a high rated actors but the music and the plot totally downplaying it Watch it if you are a fan of Nagano etc....else nope

Dsxter john Ang Aug 26 2023 6:23 am I am watching this now. I call it the long skirt drama. Never came across Mei before, but she is definitely a cutie. Love her hair. Always loved Yuri. Very thin and nice feminine hair too. But everyone is hiding their bodies like they are 80 years old. Past that they are making me accept so many odd behaviours as ordinary and accepted. One thing I do like is the relationship between step siblings because love should always be set free. Watch Liar Liar, My Sister Is Unusual or My Brother Loves Me Too Much

A Jul 24 2023 9:40 am Ya’ll chill! It’s fiction anyway, why are ya’ll heated over some unrealistic parts?! I personally liked this drama because of the life lessons it imparts per episode. Probably a bit of a slow burn in the beginning, but over time the characters grew on me.

Glad that Nagano Mei’s finally showing her versatility from innocent roles to more serious ones! And as always, Taishi did not disappoint. :)

Also, I liked the fact that the drama is not too long - 8 episodes are enough to flesh out the story (vs. extending to 16 with filler episodes for the latter half of the series :/)

Lillian Ooi Jul 20 2023 2:14 pm From the 2nd episode onwards, I was getting very annoyed with the 2 sisters' characters. Firstly, the actresses lacking in facial/body expression - stiff as a wood and definitely no acting skills. Secondly, the storyline is absurd!!

Anzu aka the housekeeper is so dumb and awkward. I'm not surprised that the stepmom and stepbrother discovered her true identity easily from the way she's acting in the house. Her sister, Yuzu's voice is like Daisy Duck!! Wasted my time watching the drama. I will go back to K-Drama cause all them can act way way better than the Japanese.

Rachel Jul 18 2023 8:12 pm When I began watching this drama , it felt weird because I couldn’t comprehend their expressions , gestures , way of speaking especially , this is because I was comparing their acting to K drama , however I had ti immense my thoughts to that of the Japanese way and oh boy … I love the drama especially the twist of the culprit in the end.

Sai Jul 15 2023 1:39 pm Am I the only one who thinks parts of this drama makes ZERO sense? Like why would Osamu divorce Satsuki for accidentally setting the house on fire? There's no way a house like that isn't insured. And then he simply abandons his BIOLOGICAL daughters after marrying Makiko? Why would he even marry his ex-wife's POOR, SINGLE MOTHER best friend who came over to the house a couple times? And why did Satsuki become poor after the divorce, didn't she come from a rich family? Even if she was disowned by her family or something, do they not have alimony and child maintenance in Japan? And do Japanese people not think that it's kinda incestuous to marry your step-sibling?
