Jung Se-Ro (Yoon Kye-Sang) lost his father and his life was destroyed by a murder case in Thailand which also involved stolen diamonds. After that incident, Jung Se-Ro lives his life as a swindler. Park Gang-Jae (Cho Jin-Woong) is his partner in crime and they are close like brothers. Jung Se-Ro then falls in love with a woman named Han Young-Won. Her fiance died because of Jung Se-Ro.

Emy z May 16 2020 5:07 pm Well, I’ve watched this the year it aired, I was studying at France and I used to wake up early two hours before going to the uni in order to watch the new episode, this drama is one of the best, certainly better than most of highly rated dramas.

Arihant Oct 12 2017 7:43 am Highly affecting show!There are revenge dramas and then there are revenge dramas like Beyond the clouds, which shows there can be grace in even such themes.The trick is in superbly written lead characters and equally good supporting cast.

The writing and direction are top notch.This was the first time i had seen Han Ji Hye and she is luminous in this-a character filled with quiet strength-she is able to express more with her face than many other actresses.I first liked Yoon Kye Sang in Who are you and was initially apprehensive as how he could play the cold revenge seeking lead character but his performance is superb and carries the show through.Highly memorable supporting cast as well.

I would recommend it to anyone who loves a revenge themed romance drama.Beautiful ost as well.

This drama may not had received a high rating but korean drama addicts won't be disappointed with this series. I highly recommend this to everyone.

Heirs got good rating even though it's one of the worst drama (Ive seen a few episodes and stopped Watching it). It only got good rating be coz of LMH. Sometimes the rating doesn't mean a thing it's only rated according to an actor or actress in it even though the plot is HORRIBLE and UNREALISTIC!

CKW Oct 06 2015 12:26 pm This is an amazing drama. The ratings shows is the prove of how viewership doesn't define the quality of a drama. This one is definitely one of the best dramas of 2014.

It starts out slow, but after the 4th or 5th episode the show picksup and never goes down. It's an amazing emotional roller coaster ride. The two leads' interaction are mesmerising. So emotional. Kye-Sang and Ji-Hye did justice to the characters, and I couldn't have asked more from them. Yoori was good too. Recommend it to everyone.

This drama is categorized melancholy but comes out strong.. the drama reminds me so much of Song JoongKi and Moon ChaeWon drama.. ah I forget the title.. The story line is very melancholic but the casts have strong personality and relationship... Such a great drama.. not that complicated but reach the climax. .

WBT May 19 2015 12:50 am Such a good drama. The show starts slow, but it picks up after episode 4/5 and it gets better each episode. The bubbling romance between the two leads is very melancholic. I felt really sad at how Se Ro's life turned out, he not only lost his father, but also his dreams. The biggest plus for me would be the leads' chemistry, they acted well together.

I have no idea how such a good drama has low ratings whereas some of the crappiest Kdramas I've seen have high ratings (*cough*cough*The Heirs*cough*cough*).

After that frame murder he not only lost his father but his dream too and that 5 years that he spent in prison gone just like that and how unfair he must have felt. Se-ro lost the love of her life and that's all. Still watching this drama and feeling so frustrated about everyone saying how pitiful Young-won is.

Yes agreed with everyone here that this drama is seriously underrated, it is as good as secret. highly recommended to watch.

Paul Holmes Jul 07 2014 6:57 pm Saw Yoon Kye-Sang in "Lovers of 6 Years" and didn't make a great impression. However, in this drama he really is amazing! He portrays the kind of righteous, tenacious, cool hero that you can't help but respect. This shows how scripts, directors and stories can make such a difference in an actor's life.

As far as the drama, it was great overall, especially up until episode 12 or 13. After that it kind of flattened out and lost the tension.

Also, wasn't happy that Park Gang-Jae ended that way. Was hoping he would finally get his act together and "feel the love" from the others instead of stubbornly continuing on that path. (By the way, Cho-Jin-Woong, who plays Gang-Jae is another great actor in this drama)

The two female leads were wonderful and all the other characters showed amazing acting ability.

kdramafan Jun 11 2014 7:15 am Out of all Kdrama i watched, this will be my all time favorite, the ratings is not giving this drama its justice, Yoon Kye-Sang is just IMPRESSIVE, he doesn't have to talk to convey his emotions; his eyes just speak by themselves and this is rare, it is hard for an actor to get you emotionally involved but Kye-Sang drag you with him and that alone make him stand out!!

This drama is as good as Secret Love (Bimil), starring Ji sung and Hwang jung eum.. because basically the story is opposite of Bimil in gender.. Really really recommended to be watched.. ! emotion overload!

Yoon Kye Sang is beyond sexy, and so far the whole cast is amazing. And what a cast! Kim Young-chul, probably the finest character actor alive today, is his incredible best here. Also it took me two whole episodes to recognize Jeon Mi-Sun as his crafty second wife. Here she is uber glamorous fashionista, and the last time I saw her was in Ojakgyo Brothers, where she played the plain faced neighbor. Korean actors have to be the finest actors in the world. Can't wait to see what lies in store!

Shosh May 03 2014 9:52 am Agree that it was much better than the published ratings - really enjoyed the spare writing, nothing extraneous. Actors were great as was the OST. Unlike many soundtracks, which rehash just a few songs over and over again (sometimes to death!), this had a good range of songs. By the by, the OST is available on iTunes as "태양은 가득히 or The Sun is Filled."

In the end, all will be well and they will be together- since love triumphs! is the probably the reason the ratings are low- two stories aired so close to each other.

It keeps viewers glued to the screen and each episode surely has something to surprise us viewers. Definitely deserves a better rank and would like to add that the actors' performances are impeccable.

Tanto Mar 10 2014 8:21 am TBH, this drama is GREAT I love it, they have a very nice pace, not too slow, it is fast but not too rushing, very concise and to the point. they don't waste time on dilly dallying but focusing to the main story. the actor and actress are really great too, their emotion, feeling of losing someone, feeling of being treated unfair, sadness etc can be felt throughout the drama (till now, episode 7). I have a very high expectation on this drama (this is my first time to watch Korean drama)

I usually fall asleep watching some korean dramas because they are either so slow or nothing is happening. NOT in this drama. My only regret is that I have to wait just like the other millions for future episodes. Bravo.

wisa Feb 26 2014 11:13 pm I would have to say masterpiece at this point of the drama. I can't even express how I feel about the show. I will express as little as I can. Firstly Yoon kye sang terrific performance he portrayed his character with such great intense emotion, that I can actually believe and feel for the character. Bravo to all the actors as well. This show is beautiful and well written. This show tells me, What will a person do for revenge? Or to find forgiveness not only by others but within one self. This show deserves high rating. Hopefully it will stay strong to the very end. FIGHTING!!!

The writers interprets the characters with great believable emotions. I Can't wait to see what each episode delivers.I am so excited. Zo In-Sung is a gambler and also has partner in Kim Beom. Let's continue... the similarities doesn't end there... I'm sure the hero in The Full Sun also goes to the heroine house and tries to set things right... because he killed the heroine fiancé... In That Winter... the hero sets sights on a new target: Oh Young, pretending to be her long-lost brother and then falls in love with her and he tries to set thing right also by helping her get her sight back. I'm telling you guys even the stills in dramabeans reminds me of That Winter, The Wind Blows... Well, if this show come even close to That Winter, The Wind Blows... it's going to great show
