ep. 1
Due to the sudden death of his father, Geon-soo inherits the plastic surgery clinic
that his father owned. But he learns that the clinic was collaterized for a $3 million
loan that was extended by private moneylender Lee Eok-man. Due to late loan
payments, the clinic is on the verge of being seized by Lee Eok-man. To make
matters worse, all the doctors who were employed at the clinic quit on the first day
Geon-soo reports to work. They also take away all the patients with them. Hong Ki-
nam, a freshly-minted nurse, turns up at the clinic on that day as well. Geon-soo
tries to convince the banks to extend him a loan to pay back Lee Eok-man but the
banks refuse him on the grounds that his credit score is low. Geon-soo finally
makes the decision to rebuild the medical staff and open the clinic to pay off his
debts. In a stroke of luck, a young celebrity visits his clinic to receive extensive
cosmetic surgery. But Geon-soo has difficulty in the operating room as he tries to
overcome the trauma from a medical accident he committed before. As he finds it
impossible to proceed with the surgery, Yong-woo enters the operating room all of a
sudden...
ep. 2
Geon-soo tries his best to attract more patients but Yong-woo rejects the patients
who come to have cosmetic surgery. Ki-nam is smitten by Yong-woo and one day
Geon-soo spots her giving Yong-woo a bunch of articles on the entertainment
industry to Yong-woo, who is not familiar with any Korean celebrities. One day, a
patient named Mi-gyeong comes to the clinic, seeking cosmetic surgery because
she has trouble landing a job. Yong-woo tells her that she first needs to get her
parent’s written permission before he can operate on her. Yong-woo removes a
large lump on the neck of an old man who is on welfare and Geon-soo includes this
story in one of his advertisements. But bloggers reveal that the old man is actually
an affluent person and they heap scorn on Geon-soo’s clinic. Geon-soo meets a
doctor friend of his by chance and offers him a job on the spot. Yong-woo gets
disillusioned by Geon-soo’s leadership and decides to quit. But while walking down
a street, he witnesses Mi-gyeong, a patient he rejected, enter a hotel with an older
man...
ep. 3
Ki-nam’s mother collapses and needs to have surgery. The plastic surgery clinic keeps losing money and so they hold a meeting where Seo-jin suggests that they advertise their clinic on billboards. Ki-nam asks Geon-soo for an advance on her salary but he refuses to give it to her. This causes Ki-nam to think about quitting.
When a rich obnoxious lady and her daughter visit the clinic, the mother asks Geon-soo to make her look like Yoo Ji-in while her daughter wants to look like actress Song Hye-gyo. Geon-soo visits the rich lady’s home when she invites him over to introduce him to more clients. At the lady’s home, the rich lady asks Geon-soo if he would consider marrying her daughter. If he accepts her proposition, she offers to build a new clinic for him and this makes Geon-soo think it over...
ep. 4
Geon-soo’s first operation will be on a patient called Ga-hee. Ga-hee visits Geon-soo’s home and the nurses are amazed that Geon-soo does everything at her bidding. But they later learn from Mr. Ma that Ga-hee was the first patient that Geon-soo operated on but the operation was a failure and ever since then Geon-soo was unable to perform operations.
Meanwhile, the famous fashion designer Johnny Hwang visits the clinic to get a sex change. Yong-woo and Geon-soo accept the fact that Johnny Hwang is a transgender but they tell him that he might not survive the operation because of his age and refuse to operate on him. Ki-nam persuades Ga-hee to have her scars removed by Yong-woo. Meanwhile, Johnny Hwang signs papers that he will not press any changes if he dies in surgery and writes his will to convince Yong-woo. So Yong-woo begins to understand Johnny and decides to proceed with his operation...
ep. 5
Yong-woo suggests that Geon-soo perform his first operation. Mr. Ma and Seo-jin keep urging Geon-soo to set a surgery appointment with one of the patients, and so Geon-soo reluctantly tells them he’ll do an operation. Eok-man learns that his wife, Sang-soon, took off with all of his money. Sang-soon intends to get a series of nip-and-tuck procedures at B&A Plastic Surgery Clinic but Geon-soo keeps turning her away because he thinks she’s a picky patient who’ll raise complaints about the surgery results.
A middle-aged couple visits the clinic, seeking a more youthful look because their son, who they had in their late thirties, is embarrassed to be around them. Because Yong-woo was away attending a seminar, Geon-soo decides to perform the operation but he cannot stop his hands from shaking and eventually gives up. Geon-soo feels intensely embarrassed when he sees Yong-woo perform the operation perfectly the next day. Sang-soon remembers seeing an IOU bond issued by B&A Plastic Surgery Clinic among the things she took from her husband and returns to the clinic, demanding that give her the surgery she wants.
ep. 6
Singer Dong-joon has a big scar on his face that was caused by a burn and he comes to the clinic, seeking Yong-woo. Yong-woo treated Dong-joon before but tells him that even though he’ll try his best to get rid of the scar, there will be a good chance that it will still be visible. Dong-joon gets mad that he is no longer a popular singer and cancels all of his concerts and TV appearances. Yong-woo goes to meet Dong-joon to convince him to receive the operation nevertheless.
Ji-hye has great vocal talent but she is unable to get signed by any musical label because of her looks. So she visits B&A Plastic Surgery Clinic and insists that they make her look like Lee Hyo-ri. Geon-soo and Yong-woo tell her that it’s impossible and refuse to operate on her. So Ji-hye sets camp in front of the clinic and refuse to leave. Ki-nam looks for Dong-joon to help Yong-woo’s cause. By chance, Ki-nam learns that Ji-hye is a fan of Dong-joon and she tries to arrange a meeting between the two of them.
ep. 7
Yong-woo’s ex-wife Ji-young coincidentally visits B&A Plastic Surgery Clinic to receive cosmetic surgery. While overhearing a conversation between Yong-woo and Ji-young, the staff learns that Yong-woo is 45 years old. Geon-soo receives Ji-young in his office and she tells him of her suspicions that her current husband is cheating on her and so she’d like to have the dark circles underneath her eyes removed. Meanwhile, Ji-hyun, who is about to get married, visits the clinic because her future mother-in-law pressured her to get cosmetic surgery. Her fiance’s mother told Ji-hyun to overhaul her looks and because of those words, she is under a lot of stress.
Geon-soo meets with Ji-young and tells her that she has neurofibromatosis, which is a hereditary disease. Ji-young tells Geon-soo that that is not the reason why Yong-woo divorced her and as they talk about how the marriage didn’t pan out, she realizes that there was a deep misunderstanding between her and Yong-woo. Meanwhile, Ji-hyun finally decides to go ahead with the operation after thinking it over carefully.
ep. 8
Geon-soo gets jealous when he sees that Ki-nam is close with Yong-woo. Seo-jin aids In-hee, who was severely beaten by her husband. After escaping from her husband, In-hee receives first-aid treatment at B&A Plastic Surgery Clinic and then asks to get plastic surgery that will make her unrecognizable to her husband. Meanwhile, Ju-ri, who received extensive plastic surgery once before, returns to the clinic and tells Geon-soo that she wants cosmetic surgery.
Geon-soo tells her that if she receives another operation, it could cause problems and he cannot operate on her for those reasons. In-hee takes money out of her home without being detected by her husband and receives cosmetic surgery. Ju-ri returns to the clinic again and pleads with Geon-soo to operate on her and Geon-soo begins to suspect she might be addicted to plastic surgery. After In-hee receives her operation and leaves the clinic, In-hee’s husband shows up and says that he was duped into marrying her and that In-hee has as history of stealing money from her ex-husbands...
ep. 9
Geon-soo reveals once again that he likes Ki-nam in front of all the nurses and staff at the clinic. But at that moment, a couple of girls that Geon-soo used to date during his wild days appear at the clinic and ask for different types of nips and tucks while holding B&A Plastic Surgery Clinic discount coupons, which Geon-soo gave them. When Ki-nam sees all the women, she tells Geon-soo that she knew he was a playboy who could never change his ways and ignores his overtures. Yong-woo tells Ki-nam that he suffers from neurofibromatosis and must take regular Botox injections, and Ki-nam is touched by how he told her one of his deepest secrets.
A young man called Jae-yoon and his girlfriend Yu-mi, who is 19 years his senior, arrive at the clinic. Yu-mi tells Yong-woo that she would like to look youthful because she has a young boyfriend but Yong-woo rejects her on the grounds that she had extensive plastic surgery before. When Jae-yoon hears this he asks Yong-woo to give him surgery that will make him look older. Hearing this peculiar demand, Yong-woo tells Geon-soo that if Jae-yoon actually goes through the surgery to look older then he will give up on pursuing Ki-nam...
ep. 10
A TV crew visits B&A Plastic Surgery Clinic to shoot a program to show viewers what an average day at a plastic surgery clinic is like. Yong-woo rejects the idea of letting a TV crew invade the privacy of patients but Geon-soo tells him to cooperate with them because it will promote the clinic. Pil-sung decides to commit a bank robbery to come up with the money to pay for an ear reconstructive surgery for his girlfriend, Hye-young.
While the TV crew follows Yong-woo, the cameras capture footage of him talking with a rival clinic that is trying to recruit him. Over the course of the day, the TV crew learns that Ki-nam, Geon-soo, and Yong-woo are in a love triangle and that Geon-soo is saddled with a huge loan that he took out from a private moneylender. Meanwhile, Pil-sung fails in robbing the bank and by coincidence he meets Yong-woo. When the nurses at the clinic recognize Pil-sung, he takes them as a hostage...
ep. 11
When Nurse Yang’s husband gets into a car crash, the man in the other car sues him for $30,000. Nurse Yang tries to borrow money from her friends and family but with no success. She ends up borrowing money from Eok-man, the loan shark. Eok-man tells her that if she gives him a copy Ju-ri’s medical records that reside in B&A Plastic Surgery Clinic, he won’t ask her to pay back the loan. Nurse Yang goes through Seo-jin’s computer to find the medical records.
Ki-nam feels sorry after learning about Geon-soo’s feelings about her. Seo-jin advises Ki-nam to not be nice to Geon-soo or else she will perpetuate the misunderstanding that she likes Geon-soo, leading to a messier result. Yong-woo is offered a tenured position at a German university and wonders if he should go alone or ask Ki-nam to come with him. After wondering what to do he makes up his mind and asks Ki-nam to go to Germany with him. Ki-nam hesitates...
ep. 12
Ignored by Geong-soo, Seo-jin betrays him by striking a deal with Eok-man. She passes the medical records of Ahn Ju-ri to Eok-man without asking anything in return. Yong-woo suddenly proposes marriage to Ki-nam and she accepts...
The clinic is shaken by a lawsuit filed by Ahn Ju-ri and although Geon-soo keeps trying to fight the lawsuit he keeps hitting setbacks. What will happen to the B&A Plastic Surgery Clinic?
