Min-Ho's (Jung Kyoung-Ho) father ran a large company, but his death led to his uncle taking over the company. Because of this, Min-Ho grows into a cutthroat investor. Min-Ho then undergoes a heart transplant surgery and his personality changes. Thanks to his new heart, he begins to have warm feelings and he falls in love with a woman named Soon-Jung (Kim So-Yeon).

Queenie Mar 19 2023 9:33 pm I watched this mostly because I like the male lead. I think he was great. (Loved hospital playlist). He made me laugh and be sad.. I also like happy endings, so the fact that he ended up ok made me happy……But how did he make it! He was on deaths door with his transplant rejection and a bleak outlook!?? So in the last episode the female lead is summing up what happened to everyone and there he is looking fabulous. I don’t understand how he got better. I mean I know it’s a story line but you have to make it somewhat believable. It’s like the writers didn’t know how to explain how he got better so they just said “oh well we will just make him be fine without explaination! Am I the only one who thinks that was one story lone they didn’t explain?

SentineL Apr 13 2022 4:51 am I rate 8/10 The story is actually well written, all 16 episodes are well thought of. There's no feeling of forcefully dragged plot (except how useless the police seems to be, a normal day in romcom Kdramas). Jung Kyung Ho the male lead is carrying the show, his acting is superb as always (became a fan of him through Hospital Playlist). The female lead's acting isn't up to par though, but not too bad or awkward either. However, the huge minus that almost made me want to rate 7 is the director. The camera work and editing totally s*cks, there's even a microphone showed up in episode 7 (IIRC it's minute 43:59, where Kang Min ho sits on stairs). Compared to the recent JTBC dramas with the amazing visuals, this one is total cr*p. Still worth the watch for story and good acting.

I cried so much on scene when dong Wook appeared in front of Soo Yeon ㅜㅜ I laughed and crying when watching this . It is like makjang drama but less than that . Totally u can watch this if u love a cute male lead

Please do not get influenced by others who are heavily criticising this drama ...just check it out for yourself. I am sure everyone is intelligent enough to understand certain aspects of the storyline . There is crime, family values ,morals , love ,miracles ,fantasy, business ,friendship ,,comedy in this one. The main actor is insanely good on his role.

Barely made it to the 8th episode, my honest review Feb 20 2021 9:50 pm Lots of boring business dialogue. There's so much of it that you often forget about the romance. If you don't fully understand some of these business dialogues or miss something - then you won't understand the whole plot. The romance is forced. The fact that his personality changed because of a new heart is unbelievable and a CEO with a past trauma, which is such a usual, romanticized phenomenon in asian dramas, has lost its spark. The comedy aspect is extremely weak, it was completely unfunny, I've never laughed once for the whole 8 episodes, I think it's more of a melodrama, so keep that in mind. The female lead is boring to tears. Especially after Dong Wook, her fiancè dies she becomes robotic. She's showing a wide spectrum of emotions, which is so illogical and feels like she's just following the script. You know it's one of those dramas where the male lead starts chasing the female only because the writer wants him to. They must end up together because they just have to, they're the leads. The romance follows the dry "standard" clichè path typical for most of the dramas of that time. The scene where he took her to the luxury boutique in the second episode made me facepalm. And yeah, his hairstyle and hair colour change after episode 4, if I remember correctly, it doesn't look like in the poster anymore, it looks so terrible and old-fashioned, such an eyesore. Nobody's doing their hair like that these days. I'd go as far as to say that it's most of the blandest dramas I've ever watched.

Eileen Mar 14 2018 6:20 pm Good cast and story line. I'm from the UK, so am enjoying a lot of the S.Korean dramas. As I was googling about this programme I unfortunately saw a spoiler for how this finalised, so I skipped a few episodes. Shock! Horror! But never mind (British sense of humour being expressed here). As I am relevantly new to S.Korean culture I am trying to understand some of the storylines. In this production, I was concerned about how the female lead was being treated. It was quite disturbing for me how she was being verbally and physically abused by her superiors. That was quite a shock, in reality, if I'd been in that position, I would have tendered my resignation immediately with giving an immediate response to the abuser/s. Maybe this is the difference between eastern and western cultures. Apart from that, the programme was entertaining and well acted.

I realized for the first time how unknown actors speaking a foreign language could keep you spellbound for hours together! Jung Kyung Ho has become a favourite after this and he is awesome.Kim So Yeon was just sensational as the female lead.And the music!(Paradise from Davink became a perennial favorite) .Great life lessons from the writer!

I just started rewatching this and the show hasn't lost any of its freshness. This is a highly satisfying show !

Park Nan Hee Oct 04 2017 5:32 pm I watched this drama a few weeks ago on Netflix. I looked it up since the title and the picture cover looked promising. I read many reviews and they were pretty positive so I decided to give it a shot. It Did Not Dissapoint.

I really like the overall plot on this drama. It wasn't very typical and the plot really gets to you. I got confused at some parts but once you put two and two together it makes more sense.

There is more "business" drama than the "romance" drama. I do agree that they should've focused a little bit more on the "romance" part but then again it's okay.

The two main leads definitely had awesome chemistry. There's something about Jung Kyung Ho that does something to my soul. He works great with any leading lady. I love his sense of comedic and bad ass acting styles. I don't know if i'm explaining it right. You're gonna have to watch it for yourself!

Honestly i would give this drama a solid 4. A 4 only because the "business" side definitely bore me. If it focused on the "romance" it would have bumped to a 5. Nonetheless, i will end up watching this drama again!

This is not a good role model for the boys and girls watching. I'm not sayng the drama it's bad. But it's like all the bad things that they do has a justification and the girl must have accept EVERYTHING to be with him.

The tender moments were heart warming while those other moments, you know if you've watched it, tore my heart out. The humor was great, the acting superb. This show hooked me from the first episode and left me needing more every time I had to stop watching.

Overall, amazing.

Now. If only I can find another show that lives up to a hint of this one, I'll be happy.

La Plume Aug 21 2016 4:25 pm Good drama overall. Yoon Hyun Min in particular is awesome... I wish they didn't spend so much time on the corporate side of the story. I was looking for romance, and I got it in a way, but I felt the focus was definitely on the diverse machinations going on and Lee Joon Hee's rise and fall.

Jung Kyoung Ho delivers but I felt Kim So Yeon's character was a bit meh. It's more to do with the writing than the actress herself (I liked her better in 2 weeks for instance) . I felt that for a drama about her character, we spent more time with Joon Hee than her.

I enjoyed it overall, but the I felt the romance was put too much in the background when it should have been the main focus of the story... Same thing with Kang Min Ho... We spend lots of time watching him fight his foes and not enough on his gradual change. It felt like he changed a bit too fast to my taste.

Still enjoyable in spite of being predictable 7 out of 10.

Gaby Jun 12 2016 10:15 pm Okay, so before I finished this show a posted a desperate comment asking and wondering if there would be a second season because the chapters this season had seemed impossibly short to tell this great plot, but I was wrong, they were more than enough. As someone who has spent a great part of their life watching only american sitcoms or dumb dramas, this show was like a breeze of fresh air. It had everything, a great cast, humor, great romance and without the need of too much PDA. This show is what true love represents, and you can relate to all characters, like, "If I had been in his/her position, I would have done the exact same thing" I would strongly recommend everyone to watch this show, it's on Netflix! And it is literally awesome, part of me wishes there were a second season but a bigger and most sensible part of me knows that part of the greatness of this show is because of how they managed to tell the story. Do yourself a favor and change your life by watching this, you will not regret it.

It really enjoyed the love Storyline...it even made me cry a lot..it become more interesting as I watch...I become more curious and I realise I got addicted to it...All cast actually did a great job especially both main lead....This is one of best kdrama I seen... I admire Woo-sik's loyalty as a friend to Min-ho, Ok-Hyun as a loyal friend to Dong-wook, Joon-hee's determination for the top (mainly for soon-Jung I think), Soon-jung remained strong despite everything that happened to her, Dong-wook's unconditional love and at last but not the least, Min-ho for his willingness to change for the better and for the one that he loves.

Its not soonjung's fault that he turned out bad and fyi ur calling kang min ho a mean person? Lets be honest they both are mean nd dont even compare the tragedies kang min ho had to endure when he was a child. It is far more worse than joon hee. He grew up without a parent by his side and do u know whats even worse, he saw how his mom died. How can u forget that he could have been traumatized. Joon hee on the other side shouldnt care what other ppl say gud thing he had his lovable father who supported him nd even covered up the murder..how could joon hee not regret that, his dad even killed himself just to protect him. Its joon hee's fault that he turned out like that, i know wat ppl say can be hurtful . How could he even kill his own friend? Only insecure md ppl r like that, nd he didnt even regret the whole thing he just laughed it off. Well atleast min ho changed , how about that bastard joon hee?

It was sad what she did to her friend even though he killed her boyfriend. She would have at least shown a little concern for him.... And another thing is that the drama was just going up and down. The company on the brink of bankruptcy and it'll go back to normal and go back to bankruptcy again.. The girl leaves and comes back and then leaves again I mean who wrote this script ???? BUT TO BE SINCERE THE DRAMA WAS NICE only the girl I didn't like...

Anyway, reasons why this was not a good drama for me: 1. Kim Soon Jung is such a biased b***h. I'm not even kidding. She was so mean with her best friend (though he was the villain here) but that's not the point. The point was that she didn't support him, at all. Even as a friend and that's one of the main reasons he actually turned out bad. Lee Joon Hee was born in a terrible condition. He was bullied for being poor and at that time his best friends didn't even help him. He went through such a shitty job. Being used as a dog in a multimillion company to do the dirty work and still being treated as dirt it's so shitty! And if he had the money he would have brought the moon for this girl. And what does she do? Leave him. Ditch him and supports another idiot who is as bad if not worse than him. Aka Kang Min Ho 2. Yes Kang Min Ho is really such a bad person, I can't even explain. In case the audience forgot, he was such a shitty person and for what? just for taking revenge. That totally doesn't make sense. Just because this lady's dad betrayed his dad. That does not even compare to the childhood Lee Joon Hee had. 3. The heart itself! Goodness people! Don't you realise that Kang Min Ho was not a good person until he got her boyfriend's heart. That's just messed up. And what's worst, he starts acting like him and that just makes it all better? Holy crap this story was twisted from the start. I really had high expectations from this drama because of Kim So Yeon. But a big disappointment.

CNM Sep 12 2015 9:09 pm The writers did a good job, but I wish they had pushed it a little more to include bringing down not only Lee Joon Hee but also Han Ji-Hyun and their big American CEO too! They ultimately agreed/approved everything that Joon Hee did to the Hermia company, I hate it when the really bad guys get away with whatever despicable things they do in the dramas! The writers should make an example of them as well! Especially that woman Han Ji-Hyun!

abigailbasao Sep 05 2015 10:46 pm just finished this and trust me when i say this drama is a must-watch. ive had had so many dramas watched (not bragging lol) but yeah, this is in my top list. omg!!!! i didnt imagine id fall in love with soon jung and min ho.... kyoung ho is amazing. i love his bad cool funny character and i mean that's hahahaha when he's really funny. you'll fall in love with this drama; ill bet my hands on that. well that's at least because im a romantic drama fan so yeah romance yeah ah whatever hahaha i love this drama so much! (my favs are stairrway to heaven hana yori dango etc and yeah that's i say this drama is so looveeee ;)

cain Jun 04 2015 2:51 am This is a very good drama but also has some very big flaws..i think the best parts of this drama are the superb portrayal of the Kang Min ho character by jung kyung ho with the humor,serious,tough,innocent parts played so naturally and brilliantly,the camaraderie and humor between Kang min ho and his secretary, the suspense element and the impressive cameo of Jin goo..and the fatal flaws are the extremely stiff acting of Kim so yeon,her lack of expressions,her lack of chemistry with her three female friends is very obvious..the fact that Soon jung is able to get over her relationship of 20 plus years with her fiancée,even able to forget his death and within few months of his passing away, starts falling for Kang min ho makes her character very light and flimsy,she is not at all concerned or interested about his unfair death and not in one clip even inquires about the same from her police friend, also the poorly developed character of Lee joon hee are all facts very difficult to ignore..i think the acting of Jung Kyung ho saves the whole show,,i would rate it a 7/10

All the characters portrayed every role perfectly. But of course the chemistry between Kang Min Ho and Kim Soon Jung <3. I still remember his dark, deep, tough character as Doctor Son's in Cruel City a.k.a Heartless City..really powerful indeed and now in this comedy-romantic drama like Smile, You he show us more powerful side of his act..really can't get enough of him in screen.I'm always expected the best out of him since he chose his work based on script, storyline, director and cast..really good work oppa..daebak!! I hope I can see more of him in next project after Falling in love with Soon Jung a.k.a Falling for Innocence drama (great drama too, too heartwarming and sweet!!kyaa) ..You are the best oppa.

I wanted to see it because I really liked the two leads and their acting is still excellent!!!: ) Jung Kyoung-Ho doesn't play a lot but each time, his character is unique and beautifully written. I was in awe at his Doctor's Son's characterization in Heartless City!!!:) What a superb character!!! And here too has an interesting role!! He chooses well his roles! :) As for Kim So-Yeon, I really loved her in Prosecutor Princess and I'm really happy with her character and her acting in this new drama...

It was a beautiful surprise. I was shocked at how good it started! Really didn't expect this. Love all three actors in this show.

@AIAT, she doesn't look too old at all. They actually look the same age. She even looks just fine for Yoon Hyun-Min (second lead) who is younger than she is.

It looks like both guys are in same accident before heart transplant. If that's the case, falling for person who receives lover's transplanted heart has been done many times before. It would be a waste of such a good cast.

DailyDrama Dec 18 2014 8:23 pm I want Yoon Hyun-Min to have a lead role in a romantic comedy! He has earned it from both Witch's Romance and Discovery of Love! His comedic timing is almost perfect! PD's need to take notice! I wrote repeatedly that Song Jae Rim needs a lead role when I saw his skills in Two Weeks where he had few lines, but, his body language spoke volumes, and in Inspiring Generation where his feline movements and charisma stole quite a few scenes! Then, booyah! Someone finally put him in a role where the viewers can see the real Jae Rim: We Got Married! His value has gone way up! Get Yoon Hyun-Min while he is affordable! LOL!
