Ok-Ju (Jun Jong-Seo) used to work as a bodyguard. She excels in physical activities like martial arts, sword fighting, gunmanship, and motorcyle riding. Ok-Ju is friends with Min-Hee (Park Yoo-Rim), who is a ballerina. Min-Hee asks Ok-Ju for a favor. She wants Ok-Ju to take revenge on Pro Choi (Kim Ji-Hoon). Ok-Ju soon risks her life for Min-Hee.

N. M. Oct 18 2023 7:37 pm Started out right, the audience tension builds up and relaxes a bit then builds up again. The storyline about revenge, drugs and dead friend is all too familiar. Excellent acting, the shots show face emotions that complements the audience’s thirst for action… Excellent shots framing like the shattered blood spattered window. I would like to see the director’s cut of this one…. Five stars for this, credits due to the lead star and villains… and if course to rhe director.

I wouldn’t say this has thick plot but they make use of amazing acting, filmography, vibe and bgm to enhance every scene. I gasp and I admire. It So Damn Good everyone.

Chancellor 7 Oct 09 2023 8:46 pm I’m already loving the vibe, aesthetic and cinematography of this movie. It’s very fresh & futuristic, but it has a touch of old school Asian/Japanese “Yakuza” movies too. I love how it makes you feel like no one else exists in the world, only the characters. And you don’t know when the day starts or ends. The streets are so quiet even at the beginning of the movie.

Netflix compared this to Mine and Kill Boksoon, and I agree. These films are excellent quality movies, and I love that the focus is on kick ass beautiful women.

Wow Park Yoo-Rim looks so different here too. She was so different in “miraculous brothers” which means she’s a great actress

Cook Oct 09 2023 8:45 am Loved it. Whenever I see a female martial artist and kick-ass, I know I'm going to enjoy it. Wish we could have seen more of Park Yoo-Rim - digging her in Miraculous Brothers. She's a beaut and natural actor. Jun Jong-Seo is excellent, as well. While I'm at it, though I'd like to see him shed his mane, Kim Ji-Hoon, I think, has a very diverse range - always enjoy him.

Yasmine Oct 08 2023 7:30 pm I don’t know how to feel about this movie. I think maybe I’m too used to dramas because movies are feeling too fast paced and rushed. So many things I don’t quite understand. And honestly this entire movie feels more like there is attention to aesthetic than plot. It feels just like a bloodbath, too much violence not even plot. I’m not too harsh of a critic on films, as long as I enjoyed watching them. But this felt too empty for me. Jeon Jongseo is good at playing characters like the one in The Call or even Burning where they are quite ominous. But I feel like her acting here wasn’t as good, or the portrayal of the character wasn’t too fitting for the movie. I feel like there is kind of a lack in range of emotions she was portraying. Although you can tell through her facial expressions what she was feeling/thinking there’s just something that wasn’t there that blocked the feeling of really routing for the protagonist. Maybe that’s the downfall of movies

Excellent cinematography, choreography, story telling, a great villain, and the main actress really conveys a lot with very little expressions, which is basically her character; dry, stoic, brave, emotionless but still with a soft hidden side to her, the perfect heroine, and she portrays it perfectly.

Mews Oct 06 2023 6:02 pm This movie is...... not that great. How hard it is to film action scenes Without Epileptic Monkeys Filming It. Looks like there might some cool choreography, but you don't see a thing. The editing in so many parts is annoying and distracting. And the soundtrack, well, worst soundtrack put in film i have seen in a South Korean film. Misplaced and annoying, so much that kills the mood of what is going on.

kkkkk Oct 06 2023 8:41 am 10/10 I love the cinematography. For those who said this movie is ridiculous, I guess you haven't watched The Villainess movie. It is just the same concept - revenge. Because in their society, the director wants to portray that the police won't even bother to help those girls due to corruption. That's why in the movie they make the revenge successful. It is just a movie not real. So chill, there is no about feminism. It shows that we women live in a scary world because the men take advantage of us and we become their "slaves".

Watch Night in Paradise and the villainess - just the same concept.
