Kim Jung-Hye (Lee Yo-Won), Hong Do-Hee (Ra Mi-Ran), Lee Mi-Sook (Myung Se-Bin) and Lee Soo-Gyum (Lee Jun-Young), who all have their own different reasons, carry out a revenge plan.

Kim Jung-Hye is the daughter of a family who runs a big company. She appears straightforward and arrogant, but she is actually naive and cute. Her marriage was made to benefit both families. She tries her best as a wife, but she learns that her husband has betrayed her. To get revenge, she leads the "Bok-Ja Club."

Hong Do-Hee sells fish at a traditional market and raises her two kids alone. Her husband passed away. She is bright and good natured. Her son gets involved in a violent incident at school. She joins the "Bok-Ja Club."

Lee Mi-Sook was an orphan and married. She has tried hard to have a happy family with her university professor husband, but he is violent towards her. She begins to think about her life after she meets Kim Jung-Hye and and Hong Do-Hee.

Lee Soo-Gyum joins the “Bok-Ja Club” to take revenge on his biological parents. His father is Kim Jung-Hye’s husband. Before he married Kim Jung-Hye, he had a fling with a woman who gave birth to Lee Soo-Gyum. His biological parents have neglected him since.

doodoo Sep 03 2022 11:23 pm i only cringe with Do-Hee and the carpenter dude that looks like Jung-Hye age i would much rather her falling for that carpenter and DH being the match maker cause she deserves a happy life i could had been funny that she tries with him and ends up pregnant also the fact that she gravitated towards that wooden baby toy ... the whole DH and him having a crush is roll my eyes when she seems actually fulfilled with her kids and gave the impression she doesn't need no man but be brave and show courage for her kids while JH clearly needed affection cause she didnt have it from her family n trash husband..Soo-Gyum ofc but i think its more a little bro type of relationship (cause it was weird the whole ppl making assumptions)

It suits Jun reaaaally well, the appearance, the character arc, the back story, how he acted it out His role in new dramas are good but none of them top Lee Soo-gyum (yet). Just my personal opinion tho.

Squid Skewer May 15 2020 10:53 am I really like Kim Junghye's style at the last episode.. Makes me want to grow hair like that. Overall nice story Bokja Club really makes me rooting for them. Jun's acting is brilliant, too. I think he's better than most of idols that do act. He's so natural, I think it's a natural talent. Since I barely see him on stage, his actor aura is more pure, he got that aura not just because he's an idol.

The mistake the writers of the drama made is the wife should have pointed out to her husband that it is he who wanted her and her stepson to adapt a closer relationship. And where Baek Young-Pyo seems to suspicious of his wife concerning the herbal tablets, she should have reminded her husband that it was a gift from Lee Byung-Soo and if he is suspicious he should inquire from Lee Byung-Soo.

Usually, she takes really strong, smart and street savvy characters, but this time to see her as a still, rather child-like pure soul is nice.

I finished this drama in 2 days haha this is how good the show is. The ending was perfect as well! I hope they do more shows like this.

A fresh genre for a Korean style drama, not the typical hero heroin and a man and a woman fighting for the main couple and such.

And not overly too much on the revenge that it gets unrealistic.

jo Nov 27 2017 8:47 am I have stopped watching kdramas for a while because i don't feel like watching other dramas and others are so mainstream, if not plain boring haha anyway, this one got me really. Amidst my busy schedule, i can hardly resist not watching this This one's superb. It'll walk you through life. I rarely post comments like this but this one is too good just to pass by it. Anyway kudos really to everyone!! I had fun watching every single detail in the drama!! Unfortunately it only had 12 episodes but other than that the show did a really really great job!!!

I know it is very rare but I'd also wish for a second season :(((

Yeon Nov 24 2017 11:57 pm This drama is amazing. It's different from other dramas because there's is no huge emphasis on hierarchy. All 3 main actress's character are from different walk of life, but they all get along. There's no cattiness or judgemental thoughts involved between the 3 of them.

This drama is on my list of best favourite drama I have watched. The only thing wrong with this drama is that it was too short. Hopefully, they will come out with season 2.

Not only because Its a comedy, having one of the best casts; but also the way they film it. Every single detail in this movie means something that can push your emotion to the edge. Then they create the way to solve it peacefully. It also showcases the best side of family troubles such as betray, lost children, reputation of the family and so on. Every single family has its own problem, and ASC did a really good job by showing people that "As a family, we need to stand together. It doesnt matter that you're blood related or not." And of course, it will never be that easy in real life, but it doesnt mean that it cannot happen. The truth is the truth, only when people have faith and trust, they can make it happen together. Love this TV. Best casts ever.

GYL Nov 10 2017 6:54 am If this was a melodrama with 50+ episodes then JH and SG would have have been a couple. There are many dramas with these storylines. For example, they want to be together, but can't. 10 years down the road they meet each other and fall in love again. haha!

But this a light comedy, the ending will probably be heart warming. JH always wanted to be a mother and SG always wanted a mother. In the end they will have a mother/son relationship.

It's because you don't watch that you can say it easily. I don't mean to judge but if you watch, you'll understand why so many people "go there" for JHxSG. Believe me it's not something that viewers planned beforehand. I stay in Korea and here this pairing is called "sayag couple" by the shippers, sayag here means "sweet poison", means "eventhough you know it's poison, you can't help but want to drink it because it's delicious/sweet", the phrase is to describe SGxJH "peculiar" relationship and chemistry, that makes audiences feel they're not suppose to but can't help their hearts to flutter when watching them.
